About: I've had animal companions since I was a kid, mainly cats but also a shih-tzu, who I had for 18 years, and Belgian Malinois, my sisters dog but we had him since he was a puppy up to 6 years old. I love animals of all sizes, and understand that everyone moves at their own pace when it comes to getting to know -me- a stranger. Stepping stones for comfort is essential, for the companion in mind, and also for myself. I have 2 cats that I take care of every day. I use an autofeeder to accomodate when I am not present, and give them wet food when I am around (and if they seem to need or want some). Play time can be any time, and loving cuddle time is any time I lay down. Mainly I keep my cats indoors, and will do the same for your companions. If a dog, I'll definitely make sure their harness is on correctly before a walk is taken. I like to use harnesses that have the clip on their backside - please. If they use a choke collar for any reason, let me know and we can have a conversation about it. Teach me how you'd like for them to be taken out, so everyone is on the same page.
About: Medication can be administered. There's a large backyard where dogs can play, walk, and play with each other. Safety and trust. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room for your pet to play. I am retired and spend my time training and competing in agility. My dogs have free access to the living areas of my home and are able to run in and out of the back yard. I work outside in the yard most mornings and the dogs like to keep me company while I'm there. The dogs are allowed on the furniture and can sleep anywhere they choose.` I am retired and can take care of your pet at my home 24/7. I have a lot of experience looking after many types of dogs. Your pet has access to the entire house, including the furniture, and back garden. They are fed separately from my dogs. They are also brushed if necessary. I can also trim nails if the dog will allow me to do this.

“Gloria Pascual has been my neighbor across the back fence for about 39 years. In all that time we've known each other, we've both been caring for our own cats and, particularly in Gloria's case, the neighborhood strays and ferals as well in a several block radius - the lost, the ones left behind when owners moved, the kittens and adults dumped for whatever reasons people do such a terrible thing. She has always been dedicated to making sure everyone got food and water twice daily, rain or shine and she would go to various places around the neighborhood to greet 1-2 here, 3 there, until everyone was checked over and fed. First things first, our Rule of the Neighborhood - if I feed you or can catch you, you're going to get spayed or neutered and checked out. Over time she would befriend them and they would gather in their little territory when they knew she was coming. She's accustomed to handling cats, understanding their behaviors and quirks, and sensing if their behavior is irregular. As best as possible, she would get them veterinary help when sick or in a fight or injured even though that was expensive, and sometimes making the hard decision when they were too hurt or too sick to save. She was always frantic when one of her charges disappeared, and if she called me, we'd both look. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not. She was greatly saddened over any disappearance or need to put someone to sleep - and over 39 years, it's happened a lot. While her experience is mostly cats as far as I know, there have also been stray or lost dogs in the neighborhood as well, and she would catch them if possible and try to find their owners and get them home. I don't know about birds or more exotics, but I can say that if an animal needs feeding, watering, walking, company or care, she's your person and she'll learn anything she needs to know to make them comfortable when their owners are away. I believe she would make an excellent pet sitter. She is conscientious, reliable, and dedicated to the welfare of the pets she monitors. She would be committed to keeping their routines, keeping things calm, safe, clean with plenty of food, water and company, and following protocols if anyone got sick. She's a good person.”
