About: Hi! My name is Sarah and I adore animals, I have had dogs, cats and horses all my life and I understand the importance of the love and care that they receive. I understand animals need love and affection from their caretakers but they also need structure in their life, and it is our job as their caretakers to give them that! I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes from a litter of kittens, to a 200 lb English Mastiff! The proper handling and care of animals is important to me, and I strive to meet and exceed your expectations. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! I work full time and this is a side gig for me to do outside of that job to still interact with animals and do what I love. I work from 7:30 to 2:30 on weekdays (I'm off in the summer months) so I wouldn’t be able to do midday drop ins those days. I like to keep your animals’ daily life as consistent as possible. I try to structure their day so it is consistent with their routines at home, such as walks, medications, meal times, etc. I work 7:30-2:30 on weekdays during the school year, but otherwise I can fit other things around that. I usually feed around 6:30am and anytime in the afternoon. We have a fenced in yard and we go on regular walks, especially at the nature reserve near our place. We have toys, treats, food & water bowls, crates for smaller dogs, dog beds, leashes, etc in case the dog comes over last minute, but we always encourage owners to bring anything that they like with their animals.

About: Hi! I’m a junior at the University of Pittsburgh and a lifelong animal lover with extensive hands-on experience caring for pets of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I currently have two dogs: Whiskey, my 6-year-old Yorkie, and Cosmo, my 4-year-old cockapoo. I’ve raised both since they were puppies. I’ve also cared for a golden retriever named Kimba from puppyhood, which gave me valuable experience handling larger, high-energy dogs as well. When caring for pets, my main priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed whether I’m in my home or the client’s home. I always follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific instructions from the owner. I pay close attention to doors, leashes, and overall safety during walks and visits, and I make sure pets are never in stressful or unfamiliar situations unnecessarily. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of the space, keep things clean, and make sure everything is left how it was found. I also give pets calm attention, playtime, and supervision so they feel secure while their owner is away. If any issues come up, I communicate right away so the owner is always informed.

About: Hi, I’m Matt! Throughout middle school and high school, I volunteered at a local animal rescue, providing care to various dogs. I’ve dog sat for a few people I know personally, providing drop in visits, overnight care and walks. Additionally, I've grown up with dogs, and we currently have three of our own who I’m with every day and love very much. I’m a college student (currently on break from classes) who works part time, so my availability is built around this. This means my week to week availability may not always look the same, but I will leave my schedule open for Rover whenever I can, ensuring I provide your dog with proper care. When caring for your dog in your home, they will always be safe and sound. For drop in visits, I will make sure to follow your dog’s normal routine to ensure their comfort. For walks, I will follow your dog’s pace, while always keeping my hand through the loop of the leash and wrapped around my wrist to keep them secure.

About: My love for animals of all kinds began in 6th grade and has only become more expansive as I have continued to care for the pets of my friends and neighbors. My senior dog is almost 18 years young so I am well versed in going above and beyond! As an educator my timing is flexible, especially for summer! I am looking to help families as another Rover.com pet sitter helped us with our senior dog. I will work with your dog's needs so that you are comfortable leaving and know that I am dedicated to keeping your pet happy and healthy. I have a lot of experience with keeping dogs who miss their families happy! As someone who teaches tiny humans I have a lot of experience in building trust.
