“My dog had lots of fun with Megan. She followed my instructions, and I felt my dog was in good hands. After we returned home, my girl was a bit confused, and sat looking at the door, I'm positive she was waiting for Megan!”

About: Hi, I’m Lily! I’ve been around animals all my life and have spent the past three years dog & cat sitting. I also have hands-on experience working in doggie daycares and grooming salons, and I recently completed grooming school! Whether your pup needs a fun walk, a check-in while you’re at work, or a caring sitter while you’re away, I’ll give them plenty of attention, affection, and care tailored to their needs. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and keeping their familiar routines—from energetic playtime to quiet company and belly rubs. My goal is to help your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved—and give you peace of mind while you’re apart! I currently work part-time at a grooming salon, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit walks, visits, and pet sitting into my schedule—and give your pets the time and attention they deserve! My mission is to follow your pet's typical routine, so they feel totally safe and loved! Whether they thrive on a strict schedule or a whimsical day of doing whatever your best friend demands, I’m on it.
“Faith was an exceptional dog sitter who exceeded all expectations. She was punctual every day, ensuring that our pups received consistent care and attention. Faith dedicated 30 minutes each day to sit with the dogs while they did their business, showing her commitment to their well-being. Additionally, she captured lots of great pictures of the pups, which was a delightful bonus for us. Her reliability and thoughtful care made a significant difference, and we highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter.”

“Thank you Courtney for helping us out last minute so we could enjoy some family time at great wolf lodge. I’m sure Beau loved the belly rubs, walks and treats. You were so trustworthy and kind. We’ll definitely be reaching out for our future dog visit/walking & cat sitting needs. Thank you again!”

About: I was born and raised in Chester County on a horse farm, where caring for animals was part of everyday life. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals, including horses, goats, sheep, dogs, and cats. I’ve bottle-fed kittens and baby goats, administered medications, cared for senior pets, and looked after animals with special needs. Over the years, I’ve provided pet care for friends, neighbors, and clients throughout the community, many of whom have trusted me with their pets for multiple years. I understand that every animal has unique needs, routines, and personalities, and I take pride in providing dependable, compassionate care that helps both pets and owners feel at ease. I’m currently a college student taking online classes, so I spend most of my time at home. My flexible schedule means I can give your pets plenty of attention throughout the day! I’m available for walks and drop-ins most weekdays and weekends, open for boarding or extended stays. For boarding, I currently accept cats only and provide them with a quiet, comfortable space where they can feel safe and relaxed. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I welcome pets of all sizes and breeds. I always follow your pet’s normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and love while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m Jackie, a reliable and caring pet sitter who truly enjoys being around animals. I’ve had dogs in the past and currently have a cat, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet’s care and routine. I’ve also filled in for my sister-in-law’s dog walking clients, so I’m comfortable handling different dogs, following schedules, and making sure pets get the attention and exercise they need. Whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or laid-back, I take the time to match their comfort level and routine. I’m patient, attentive, and detail-oriented, and I follow owner instructions closely. You can expect dependable service, a calm approach, and regular updates so you know your pet is doing well. What I offer: • Dog walking and drop-in visits • Feeding and fresh water checks • Playtime and companionship • Litter box and basic cleanup • Photo and message updates • Care tailored to your pet’s routine Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I’d love the chance to meet you and your furry family member! I work from home, which gives me flexibility and reliability when it comes to pet care. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. Because I work remotely, I’m able to plan my day around scheduled visits and give pets my full attention during that time. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority to be on time, consistent, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I always focus on safety, routine, and comfort when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medication needs, and behavior guidelines. I take time to learn each pet’s personality and comfort level so I can keep their stress as low as possible.
“Dylan did a fantastic job with our menagerie while we were gone for just over a week. Dylan had to deal with one dog and three cats (though two cats decided to play invisible for the duration - they are very skittish). I believe Dylan went over and above what we asked for and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Dylan to any prospective clients. Dylan is obviously a true animal lover. We will definitely be requesting Dylan look after our pets in the future should we require this type of service again. Dylan provided regular updates with photos and it was obvious from the huge grin on our little dogs face (she's a smiler) that she was loving every minute of the attention. One of the cats even showed face to get in on the action. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Dylan for the service he provided.”

I’m comfortable and familiar with working with all types and all temperaments of pets and happy to provide great care and treat your dog or cat as if they were my own.
“Sarah was so helpful for a last minute drop in offering our pup extra attention. It was comforting knowing Molly was well taken care of and that Sarah knew her routines and quirks from pet sitting before. Highly recommend”

“Arrived promptly on schedule and spent quality time with our two dogs. Sent pictures each time. Will certainly use Lisa’s service again and would recommend her for those looking for a compassionate animal caregiver.”
About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10 years old! What started as helping family, friends, and neighbors turned into years of experience caring for all kinds of furry friends. 🐶🐱 I also have experience handling pet emergencies, administering medications, and responding efficiently when urgent situations arise. I’ve always loved being the person people can count on when their pets need a little extra love and attention. “Nancy has been amazing with my dogs!!! You can tell she is a true animal lover, because she cares about the details. She made last minute arrangements for us to meet and greet and adjustments to a few of our schedule stays, so she is also very willing to be as flexible as her schedule/life allows. Nancy sends photos and videos of my nuggets every stay. She has even checked in to see how my dog was doing with no upcoming/pending visit, so I know they are in genuinely loving hands under her care.”

“Kathleen was very kind and patient with our reactive dog. She was honest with how our dog reacted to her and made sure not to push her so she didn't make her uncomfortable. We would highly recommend Kathleen.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kelton
SO grateful we found Megan. Other than enjoying her visit notes and pictures, I did not worry about the boys at all while away, genuinely felt confident that they are receiving the best care under her watch. Extremely reliable, communicative and a great sitter! 🥰

Julia has watched our dogs for years. She has taken the time to get to know each one and understands exactly what they need. We have a a few dogs that need medication and Julia always ensures they get what they need. I would definitely recommend Julia to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and caring individual for their dog(s) needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
