Easy going, flexible caretaker
Hi! My name is Sarah and I adore animals, I have had dogs, cats and horses all my life and I understand the importance of the love and care that they receive. I understand animals need love and affection from their caretakers but they also need structure in their life, and it is our job as their caretakers to give them that! I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes from a litter of kittens, to a 200 lb English Mastiff! I work, go to school full time, and I'm a coach, so my schedule is busy, but I'm willing to work with anyone to prioritize their animal's needs. I like to keep your animals’ daily life as consistent as possible. I try to structure their day so it is consistent with their routines at home, such as walks, medications, meal times, etc. The proper handling and care of animals is important to me, and I strive to meet and exceed your expectations. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!

I don’t like writing negative reviews typically but since I relied on the reviews for this booking, I wanted to give an honest account of my experience. I booked Sarah for a 3 night stay with my two dogs and cat. On the third night, very late in the day, I discovered from my outdoor ring camera, that my pets had been left alone for 9 hours that day, which was not what was agreed on. Sarah did not reach out to let me know anything had been amiss, and when I reached out to her, she was not forthcoming until I pressed for pics of my dogs. She then told me she had a family emergency earlier that day and was not currently at my house, and was not going to be staying the night at my house. (This was around 9:30/10pm). I had to find urgent alternative care at that hour, and was very concerned about my animals wellbeing. When my neighbor arrived she found that the pre-portioned meds and supplements had more left than they should have at that point in the stay and when I later mentioned this to Sarah she insisted that she’d given the meds. (But again, I had hard proof that not all meds were administered.) Sarah did apologize when I detailed all of these concerns and she granted me a refund. But I do have serious concerns about the decision making and discernment that lead to these events and for that reason I’m writing this review. If she had notified me earlier in the day when the emergency happened (or at least before the pets had a 9 hour gap of visits) I would have gladly worked with her to find alternative care and understood that things out of our control happen. But the lack of communication and then withholding of information is what concerns me.
Sarah took excellent care of our two pups and house while we were out of town. We highly recommend her care and will definitely book her again for our next trip!
Sarah was so helpful for a last minute drop in offering our pup extra attention. It was comforting knowing Molly was well taken care of and that Sarah knew her routines and quirks from pet sitting before. Highly recommend
Sarah was fantastic with our two Chessie girls. She took great care of them and sent pics daily. She is very responsive to all communication. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for great pet care.

This is our 2nd time having Sarah pet sit for our setter/lab mix. We are grateful to be able to get away and know Molly is comfortable in her own home and well taken care of.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced in yard and we go on regular walks, especially at the nature reserve near our place. We have toys, treats, food & water bowls, crates for smaller dogs, dog beds, leashes, etc in case the dog comes over last minute, but we always encourage owners to bring anything that they like with their animals.
A typical day
Depending on the type of animal and their age I try to keep them active and moving around by playing with toys, going for a walk, playing at a dog park, doing tricks with treats, etc.
