“I’m a travel nurse so I work really long hours. Katie came and sat with my girl a little bit each day I was at work and went above and beyond to take care of my girl!! If I’m ever in her area again I will so be using her again to take care of Willow. She truly loved my dog and my dog loved her. At one point I flew home and my sitter called was I landed and unable to care for Willow. Katie stepped up and made a very stressful situation bearable!! She is amazing and I 10/10 recommend her to anyone!”

About: I grew up around cats and dogs all my life; I don't own any myself but I have lots of experience with short-term pet care. This is my first time providing services on Rover, please let me know any questions. I am currently funemployed, and I am available for walks and care with flexibility - I will work with you to arrange a schedule that aligns with everyone. (I'm still figuring this out). In a pet-owner's home, respect and consideration are first and foremost. If I provide service at your home, the only way you should know I was ever there is that your pet(s) haven't made any "messes" anywhere they shouldn't have.
“Maegan watched our goats and chickens for a week. Unfazed by the complicated instructions and our shifting plans, sent cute photos--felt very good to leave them in her competent and reliable hands.”

“Brittany did a terrific job of caring for Chance. She was diligent about giving him his meds, and spraying a hot spot he had each day. She noticed when he took some skin off his nose, and tried her best to keep his ecollar on when Chance was doing all he could to take it off. Thanks to her his hot spot is almost gone and he’s healthy and happy. She’s the best.”

“Zachary helped take care of my kitty Zeus while I was away for an extended period of time. Zachary sent me updates with each visit to keep my mind at ease. He is a dependable sitter and I recommend him for your pet care needs.”

“Cannot recommend Sara enough! She was incredibly thorough and sent so many pictures and videos. We were out of town for about a month so she even offered to help with the plants and bringing in the mail, etc. She is incredibly kind, professional, and very obviously LOVES animals. It was such a relief to know my little buddy was in such capable hands. Thanks again Sara!!”

“Ann Marie was and is totally awesome (I’m contracting her on an ongoing basis). She has a genuine affection for pets, and she hit it off instantly with my 9-year-old Greyhound/Retriever. I give her my highest recommendation.”

“Cassie has been such a wonderful caretaker for our cats. She spends quality time with the cats and ensures everything is clean and in order. Cassie goes above and beyond, was very flexible, and was such a big help. The cats absolutely adored her and seemed to really enjoy her company.”
“My cat absolutely LOVED Chelsea. She's my go to for any trips out of town and has been so responsive and professional throughout the whole process. She's been able to make my last minute requests work, and I knew my cat Bug would be cared for :)”

“Alexandra took wonderful care of our cats for 3 days. Her love of animals is so apparent. Both cats loved hanging out with her, even our sometimes surly cat Mr. Mox. She stayed for longer than the 40 minutes, playing with them and making sure everything was clean and that they were set for the rest of the day. The pictures she sent proved how happy and relaxed the cats were with her We will definitely rebook the next time we need help!”
About: I have taken care of multiple dogs, I was responsible for walking them, feeding them, making sure they had enough water, and playing with them! I have worked with reactive dogs who require muzzles and being separated from other dogs. I have a dog of my own as well, Benny! Benny is a Whoodle and we do a lot of training, he recently graduated from his Canine Good Citizen Advanced class! I have been an animal lover my whole life, and having my summers off working in education allows me to spend time doing something I love! Starting June 17th my school year ends. I will be working part time Tues-Fri 10-3 ish but other than that I am free! Am happy to be per diem or on a weekly schedule. It is my goal to accommodate and match the dogs schedule. I will make sure I reach the needs of any and all dogs in my care, depending on how long their walks are, or quantities of food. I will make sure the dogs are safe and secure within my care!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clinton. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
