“Natalee always does a great job. This time she was observamt and noticed some health issues with our cat. This helped us to promptly respond and get him the care he needed. Thank you Natalee!”

“I booked Hope to care after my two cats, while I took a 5 day trip. She came over for a meet and greet a few days before I left and the cats were receptive to her very calm demeanor. That's a big plus when you introduce a new person to your pets. I have a cat with diabetes and needs insulin shots, twice a day. He can be uncooperative with others giving the shot, but she was successful on each occasion. I received timely updates after each of her visits and positive messages, which give assurance that all was ok back home. I was extremely happy with her care and will definitely hire her again.”

“Emma has been absolutely amazing so far! She is taking care of our two Siberian kitties and treating them as if they were her own. She sends us pics and reports. We are in the hospital having our first baby and she had made leaving our kitty babies at home so much easier. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using her in the future for any cat care needs!”

“Alex was fantastic with my dog, Nate! Nate can be somewhat unruly with other dogs. Alex was keen on listening to how Nate's been trained and (IMHO) had the calm demeanor that people and dogs like Nate want in a dog walker. He also communicated well and followed through on everything he signed up for. Thank you, Alex!”

“Virginia was so thorough in her care with Champ! I loved the frequency of updates and felt happy to know my old guy was safe and well attended to. I especially loved the sweet portrait shots she got of him and the daily puzzles. Thanks Puff!”

About: I have always had pets in my life, since i was an infant. I am very good at caring for pets and even pets who don’t normally like people tend to like me. I also used to volunteer in an animal shelter where I would take care of both cats and dogs. I also know a bit about how to care for reptiles. I am currently unemployed because I am taking time to prepare for college. I am looking to make some extra money during the summer, while doing something I enjoy. I have a very open schedule and am available pretty much 24/7. I am very good at taking care my pets at home. I follow their schedules for when they need to eat. I am also used to dogs as well as cats. I took a dog training class, and I am able to make sure they listen for their safety, but still feel loved. As well as the basics, I am good at bathing cats and keeping them calm when needed. I am really good with all animals because I genuinely care for every single one that I see.
“We were so pleased with Madeline's care for Remy during our time away. After meeting her and seeing our cat curl into her legs, I knew that the bond was already there. We were never worried and enjoyed the photos and knew that we'd find our cat and our home in perfect condition....and that was our delight. We would like to leave Madeline an extra tip for her good work! Thanks Rover and thanks Madeline!! Nancy Chapman”

“Katie took wonderful care of our two dogs, making sure they had ample breaks during the day, sticking to their schedule and going above and beyond to make sure the pups were comfortable while we were gone. A+ all around, thank you Katie!!!”

“Hayley is great. We just met. And she just met JP. She was aware enough to give JP her space because JP is very shy and sometimes scared. I definitely want to hire Hayley again. I will be requesting those dates soon.”

“Haley took great care of Bia. She was easy to communicate with, easygoing and hit it off with Bia the instant they met. I felt totally confident that Bia was in good hands with Haley!”

“Suzanne is the best! This is her second time sitting for us and she is great with the girls(cats). Our cats can be shy with strangers but Suzanne manages to get some pets in on her visits! Will definitely continue to use her in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clayton
Kristyn did a phenomenal job watching our boys while we were out of town. Her daily drop-ins came with excellent communication and great photos, giving us total peace of mind. She is thorough, professional, and completely reliable. We will absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone.

Emma was wonderful with both of our dogs while we were away. She communicated clearly throughout and sent multiple photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our 6 month old puppy and 10 year old dog were happy and well cared for. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Maddy did a great job with Fritz! I was so thankful that she kept coming back when we had an issue with a jammed lock on the first day and Fritz was obviously so happy to see her. Fritz’s new medications are a lot for him to get used to, so I’m so glad to have found someone who could give them to him.

Maddie was wonderful taking care of my little cat Houdini this weekend! She stopped by exactly when she said she would and provided pictures showing me he had been fed and what they were up to that day. Very happy with Maddie's pet check-in services and will definitely be hiring her again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
