“Gabbie is great! My pup is pretty shy and going through some health concerns. Gabbie was attentive to what my dog needs, has been consistently on-time and has built up trust with her in the span of a week. Sadie seems really excited when Gabbie comes by and seems to enjoy their mid-day play sessions!”

“Cannot say enough great things about Haley. She followed all of the directions extremely well, took great care of Theo and went above and beyond to stimulate him during their outings. Highly recommend!”

“Madeleine is wonderful! I was so nervous to use a new cat sitter after moving, but she was exactly what I was seeking. I am so grateful, she took great care of my cat for a few weekends. She’s prompt, responsive, and gave me awesome updates :)”

About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. So, I have lots of flexibility to make sure your pups get their potty breaks and play time and walk time, even on days that I have class. And house sitting would work super well :) I am offering house sitting, check-ins, and walks. If I am house sitting, I will always stay the night to make sure your pets are safe and well taken care of. I will keep the outer doors locked and make sure I am able to hear your pets if they need me. I am also happy to sleep in the same room with them if that is your preference. I will make sure to follow whatever schedule your pets need, e.g., eating, medicine, walking. As far as check-ins and walks, I will make sure to respect whatever rules you have for the house (e.g., shoes off, doors locked). I'm also happy to give your dogs a bath when they need it!
“Isabelle was awesome! She was even patient enough to get our very shy kitty to allow her some pets. Made sure the house was ok and everything was taken care of. Kitty usually doesn’t eat as much when we’re gone but was eating all her food, I think because she was comfortable. She did a great job!”

“Caroline has done drop ins with my dog quite a few times now! She has been great updating with any concerns and has gotten along great with my dog. She was very patient with my dog when she first started doing drop ins as she can sometimes be a little anxious with new people but she warmed up quick after our meet and greet and by the end of the first drop in (which she stayed longer for!) Would recommend, she’s been very good at following any instructions I have, and after several drop ins I definitely trust her a lot!”

“Abby was wonderful with our cranky, stranger-hating cat! I could tell from the photos she sent that she was able to get him to relax during her visits, which is no small feat! She was great at communicating and took lots of fantastic photos each day. We returned home to a house in order and a happy cat. We'll certainly be using her again in the future!”

About: Just a dog mom and passionate animal lover with a dream of spoiling every fur baby in STL. I own a large, reactive senior dog that is my pride and joy so I’m well versed in reactive dogs with spicy personalities. Disclaimer: I’m a physician with unpredictable hours but I know my schedule months in advance so we’ll work together to find a good routine. I will always be transparent if I can’t provide the care needed due to time constraints. I’m comfortable with dogs of any size, age, or medical needs and cats are more than welcome to join the gang ! My schedule varies due to switching between clinic and hospital rotations every month. I’m usually available in the evenings and weekends. I know my schedule months in advance so will depend on what service you're looking for and what dates Unfortunately, my dog is not friendly with other animals so I cannot provide boarding. I can only offer house sitting if able to alternate between my home and yours
“Phoebe was amazing! This was the first time we left our cat. She usually takes a bit to warm up to people, but she was cuddling with Phoebe on the first visit (which we could see from all the pics she took). Phoebe was dependable and trustworthy with full access to our apartment. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve have had pets since I was a kid which created my love for animals and have had my own personal pets for 20 years (5 dogs, 3 cats over the years). I have also become a foster pet parent for the last year( 2 different fosters). My love for animals encouraged me to start a career as pet groomer for 8 years which gave me a lot of hands on professional experience. I can read dog and cat body language and health needs incredibly well. I have a lot of experience with handling and caring for pets. I work great with all personalities and can tell when they are shy, excited, fearful, happy etc. I have experience administering medications to cats and dogs. I have a lot of senior dog experience. Unfortunately due to carpal tunnel I had to pick a new path which lead to Real Estate and boy do I MISS MY ANIMAL CLIENTS. Currently I work from home 80% of the time and would love to once again have some fur baby clients. Working from home will give me a lot of time to spend with your baby. I am the go to person when my friends and family need their pets to be taken care of. I go the extra mile when it comes to making them happy. I treat every animal like they are my own. I work from home 80% of the time. This gives me much availability and flexibility to look after your fur babies. I am available 7 days a week. I have a lot of hands-on experience working with pets. I make sure they receive the care they need whether it is a long walk, some playtime in the home, or even just a snuggle session I’ll be there. I love to learn all about their quirks and make sure those are taken into account for each pet. I do specialize in working with fearful or anxious dogs and cats. I am very patient and have owned several pets that need extra time and patience.
“Abigail did great dropping in to check on Chopper. He is usually reluctant to people coming over, but he warmed up to her quickly and had a great time walking with her and playing!”

“Karen was wonderful with my cat. She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of everything while I was away. I appreciated the updates and felt completely comfortable knowing my cat was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Karen!”

About: I love dogs and taking care of them! Growing up I have always had a dog in my household. As soon as I turned 18 I got 2 puppies of my own! I know how hard it is to have to leave your pups at home alone so I would love to be able to take your dogs out and give them the enrichment they need! I have experience with seniors dogs and puppies and can also give medications if needed. I am currently a full time college student. I have full availability on weekends. During the week I am usually available early in the morning (before 8am), 12-2 in the afternoons and after 6pm in the evenings! I would love to meet your pup before a drop in/walk if possible! It’s important to me to learn your dogs routine and fulfill their needs. Your space will be respected if I am dropping into your home!

About: **I currently have two dogs of my own, but they stay at my partner's home if I am boarding your dog!** Hi! I’m a PhD student who has called St. Louis home for the past five years, and I’m currently in the final stages of writing my dissertation. The good news for your pets? I work from home, so I have plenty of time for walks, belly rubs, playtime, and keeping your furry friends company while you’re away! I am located in The Grove with access to a dog park at my apartment complex as well as walking distance to both Forest Park & Tower Grove Park for pups that enjoy long walks. One of my dogs loves people and dislikes other dogs, while the other one enjoys dogs and is wary of people so I have experience with a variety of dog personalities and their differing needs. Whether your pet is a professional cuddler, an energetic adventurer, or simply here for the treats, I’d love to spoil them ◡̈ Since I work from home while finishing my PhD dissertation, pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to take plenty of breaks throughout the day for walks, playtime, and potty breaks. 🐾 My schedule is much more “read a paper, take a dog for a walk, write a paragraph, give belly rubs” than a traditional 9-to-5. I can easily adapt to the schedule of your pup! I’m happy to build pet care into my day and give your pets plenty of attention rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Having a furry coworker around is honestly a pretty great dissertation-writing perk! 😂 Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or theirs, I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I always keep a close eye on pets during walks and playtime. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision and companionship throughout the day. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can see what your furry family member is up to. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet is safe & happy!
About: I've lived with dogs and cats my whole life, and was frequently the primary caregiver :) I am a high-energy dog and cat lover who adores being outside with any furry friend. I've dogsat for friends and neighbors, and walked dogs for friends! I'm currently a student at WashU with consistent availability on weekends and variable availability throughout weekdays. I’m happy to provide housesitting or drop in care, as well as dog walks. I only offer dog-sitting in your home to keep your dog comfortable in their familiar environment. I'll stick to their routine, provide lots of playtime, and keep you regularly updated with pictures!
About: I've had my dog Stella since she was 3 months old, and she's turning six now. I grew up always owning dogs and loving them, and I've never known a home where a dog wasn't part of it. I have experience with both big and small dogs, and Stella likes all shapes and sizes, and is kind to all the pups (and humans) she comes across. Stella and I enjoy having another dog around as company, as it lets me give some extra love, and gives Stella a friend that she gets to be a dog with :) While I do work a normal office job, I have a pretty flexible work schedule that allows me to not have to be in the office super early, to work from home some days, or not have to be in the office for extended periods of time. Weekends, I am home for most of the day, aside from the occasional errand. We live in an apartment and while we do not have a fenced in yard, our apartment is very pet friendly, with everyone in my building owning a pet. I live in the Clayton-Demun area, sandwiched between Forest Park and Concordia Park, so walks are great. We do at least 4 walks a day, and have been trying to get more exercise as Stella has been instructed she needs to get in shape :) Stella gets along with every single dog she comes across, and loves having extra friends around to hangout with. We frequently have play dates with my neighbors yorkie, and Stella plays appropriately with dogs of all sizes - it's honestly incredible to witness. I’m happy to let them roam free during the day if I'm gone, or if they need to be crated we have one as well. Furniture is at your discretion, but Stella typically does not get on it - becuase she sheds like crazy.

Sarah is excellent! This marked the second time she watched my cat, and everything went smoothly. She offered plenty of affection and treats while consistently sending photos and videos throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend Sarah for your pet-sitting needs!

Paige is, hands down, one of the best pet sitters we've ever had. From the very first visit, it was clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, not just the checklist of tasks. She sent frequent photo updates throughout each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away — it felt like we never really left. Beyond the basics, Paige went above and beyond: she cleaned up a mess without being asked and kept the litter box spotless the entire time. Little things like that show real attentiveness and care, not just showing up and clocking out. If you're looking for someone thoughtful, reliable, and truly attentive to your pet's needs, look no further. I cannot say enough good things about Paige — I will be absolutely be booking her again.
Claire was wonderful with our puppy Vinny. Vinny has been struggling a lot with separation anxiety and was had Claire come to watch him while we were out of the house for a few hours. She was sure to keep Vinny comfortable and cater to his needs (which can be difficult with a needy puppy). I would book Claire with 100% confidence and look forward to working with her again.

Candela is such an amazing dog sitter! She came over to meet Auggie ahead of her first time watching him. She gave him lots of cuddles, refilled his water, and gave him multiple opportunities to go outside while I was away at work. She is a great communicator and followed all of my instructions. Auggie was visibly happy in the photos she sent and clearly became quick friends with Candela! Very glad to have found her to take care of Auggie on a weekly basis! Highly recommend!!

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
