About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. So, I have lots of flexibility to make sure your pups get their potty breaks and play time and walk time, even on days that I have class. And house sitting would work super well :) I am offering house sitting, check-ins, and walks. If I am house sitting, I will always stay the night to make sure your pets are safe and well taken care of. I will keep the outer doors locked and make sure I am able to hear your pets if they need me. I am also happy to sleep in the same room with them if that is your preference. I will make sure to follow whatever schedule your pets need, e.g., eating, medicine, walking. As far as check-ins and walks, I will make sure to respect whatever rules you have for the house (e.g., shoes off, doors locked). I'm also happy to give your dogs a bath when they need it!

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, including both dogs and cats. My family has had a Goldendoodle and a Golden Retriever, so I'm very comfortable caring for dogs and understanding their different personalities and needs. I've also gained experience dog sitting for a breeder who raises and trains hunting dogs, which has given me the opportunity to work with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments. I love spending time with animals and making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. About: Hi! Thanks for looking at my profile. I’m Karah. I first began pet/house sitting when I was living in Ecuador from 2012-16. I am well practiced with dogs of all sizes, cats of many temperaments, and critters ranging from fishes to bearded dragons. I also have lots of garden care, as well as, indoor plant care experience. I am currently working part time at a craft store. As such I can be with your critters for most of the day. Everyone will be well looked after and let out, walked, given specific care, et al. I am not able to keep pets in my own home. I have my own two dogs and a cat who claims his own space.

Your dog will be my main priority. I do this full time. Recently, my son moved home and has a five pound Pomapoo . Your pet must be friendly with small dogs. I walk daily and have a large fenced in yard for play. I dog sit full time. I’m generally only gone for a few hours at a time. I am willing to stay home if anxiety/ health issues develops. I have a fenced in yard and walk two miles every day. At your home I would provide daily exercise and stimulation. Lots of love.

About: Hello! I have previously built a small dog sitting clientele in the city of Columbia between the years of 2017-2019. In 2019 I moved to STL and worked through Rover for about two more years until I got a full time job. Currently dipping my toes back into pet care! Although I am in St. Louis I am willing to travel to areas including, but not limited to; St. Charles, Wentzville, O'Fallon, etc. My set days off are Sunday and Monday. I do still currently have a fulltime job, so for the time being I will only be able to do drop in visits and walks. I am comfortable working with either dogs or cats. I have a 4 year old orange cat that I rescued at just 2 weeks old, so I have experience working with very small kittens as well. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I work about 30 hours a week, but will not let this effect how I care for your pet! My days off are always Sunday and Monday, and I am available at anytime either of those days, as well as most evenings and certain mornings. I unfortunately cannot offer services in my own home, but I am more than willing to provide pet watching in the clients home. I am able to do drop in visits, feedings, hair brushes, playtime, walks or whatever your pet needs while you're at work or just out for the day.

About: I’ve had animals all my life from seniors to littler of puppies. I’ve been to classes to teach and have taken care of multiple pets through hospice. Claire was wonderful with our puppy Vinny. Vinny has been struggling a lot with separation anxiety and was had Claire come to watch him while we were out of the house for a few hours. She was sure to keep Vinny comfortable and cater to his needs (which can be difficult with a needy puppy). I would book Claire with 100% confidence and look forward to working with her again.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
