About: Dog sitting since 2010, I love dogs and am not put off by size or jumping. After a few quick sniffs we are likely to be good friends. I work but I make sure I leave time between my multiple jobs to check on the dog. I have references if needed. It can be hard to give a key to a stranger and to trust someone in your home. I can grab mail, water plants, ***and care for smaller animals and additional pets that aren't the traditional cat and dog.*** I work part time, so I do not work more than 7 straight hours. My other jobs are often virtual/online or other dogs so it gives me flexibility. I have a cat and can only watch pets at your residence, because I have roommates. About: I have been a dog owner for the last 11 years. I also volunteer at a local dog shelter, which I have been a part of for the last 4 years. I will help w/ dogs of any size or breed and cats. I have also put my personal dogs through training, which can be beneficial when helping with someone else’s dog. I invested in a course called Shelter Playgroup Alliance to help me learn and improve my skills in reading dog behavior and body language. I currently work FT, but am available early mornings, nights and weekends to walk dogs or do drop in visits. My schedule on the weekends is very flexible. Your dog will get play time, a good walk and lots of love. I can also bathe them if needed. I have learned a lot about enrichment, which is great for mental exercise.

Friends also entrusted me with the care of their animals knowing that I am no stranger to difficult animals and messy situations. I walk my dog every morning at 8:30 AM and sometimes in the evening after 9 if I am unable to get the morning walk in. Otherwise I am flexible with my time depending upon the situation. I use my dog’s harness on walks with a 5 foot leash that I keep shortened by wrapping it around my hand. This allows me to extend and retract the leash to the desired length for any given situation. In the case of dog sitting I usually take the dog on a walk for as long as they’ll go and after they get tired, I would sit with the dog until it is either time for them to be fed or go out. I do my best to provide whatever the dog may need or what you require for them.
