“Holly and her family took such great care of our dog, Dottie. I couldn't be happier with the process - from the first message to the meet & greet to the doggy day care date. Communication was clear and easy, and I felt that safety and care were well prioritized. Having that reassurance that your dog is in good hands is honestly priceless. The fact she had a great time with Archie is the cherry on top. Dottie is already passed out sleeping (on the couch - sorry!) from all the fun she had. Will definitely book again. Also thank you for all the photos during the visit! They were very comforting for this anxious dog mom.”

“Our senior dog is a clingy guy and he certainly loved clinging to Lizz. He was happy to be with her and she was great about taking him out for his daily exercise -- strapping on his leg brace beforehand and icing him afterward -- as well as administering his daily medication. We look forward to seeing Lizz again!”
“My dog had a wonderful time with Addison! He was friendly and communicative during pickup, drop off, and during care. When I picked up I could tell Puck had a wonderful time and Addison shared fun stories about his day. I'm planning to use him as a regular sitter for my pup!”

“Kris is so wonderful! I had a very last minute change of plans and she was able to host my pup the next morning. 3 acres of fenced yard is just heaven for dogs and I felt so comfortable leaving my pup there! Their little Rosie and my pup Freyja played so much and I got to take home a veryyyyyy exhausted puppy after a long day of work. I will DEFINITELY be going back.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and have been a pet parent throughout adulthood. I have a deep love and affection for animals, and often look after the pets of family and friends as their trusted caretaker. I call myself a "whisperer" because I feel I've always known how to 'communicate' with domesticated animals and earn their trust. I'm an adjunct instructor at WWU with enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. As I considered alternative work for myself, I thought I should consider what I love to do, and pet sitting/dog walking feels like a great fit for me. I currently have a 2 year old female rescue dog who I'm 90% sure is a puggle, and 2 beautiful male cats. Traditionally I've owned boxers, but I love both big and small dogs of all kinds, puppies to seniors, as well as cats and most other pets (perhaps not insects...!). I'm reliable, friendly, patient, and love to walk, so frequent or long dog walks suit me fine. I have enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. Evenings are especially flexible for me, as well as overnights and weekends. I have a pet-friendly home with a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood with parks and trails close by. I'm home much of the time so my pets get a lot of attention and care, are fed on schedule, and I'm up to date on all vaccinations. My home is clean, cozy and safe.
About: I grew up with dogs and have had at least one of my own for the last 20 years. They truly are the best friends! We have a sweet 3-year old rescue poodle mix, Mimi, who does really well with other dogs. We'd love to have your dog or cat stay with us and join in our walks and hikes and cuddles! I have had a reactive/leash reactive dog and as much as I know they can be the sweetest pups when on their own, I can't take on these dogs anymore. It creates too much anxiety for me. I live on a street where there is a constant flow of neighbor dogs both on and off leash and the trails are packed with dogs these days so it's a guarantee we will meet other dogs while we are out and about. I work from home and love to get outside and explore the beautiful trails around Bellingham. When not out sniffing the trails me and your pet will be snuggled up relaxing together. There is a fence area for visiting pets to relieve themselves (it includes about 10 stairs). I love to hike and walk and will make sure your pet gets all the movement they need. I love to snuggle too so when not out and about you can rest assured that your pet is getting lots of love and cuddles.
About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, and I am a responsible cat owner. I work at home and will be available to give your pet the care they deserve :) I work from home, so I am very flexible. I can come to your place, your pet can be housed at mine, or I can come walk your dog at odd hours of the day. I have a 2-bedroom apartment to myself, and I currently have a sweet cat named Trufflepig who is 3 and gets along with both dogs and cats. She can easily be separated if your pup or kitty doesn’t like other animals. I live in a neighborhood that is very dog friendly with a park close by and a fenced in yard a block away where your dog can run.
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with lots of experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with a Lab, my husband and I had a German Shepherd mix for 12 years (so I’m very familiar with sweet senior energy and all the extra care that comes with it), and now I have Ollie—a high-energy, young husky/german shep mix who keeps life fun and active! Because of Ollie, I’m especially comfortable with large, energetic breeds and understand the structure, exercise, and attention they need to thrive. He LOVES having dog friends around and is incredibly friendly, but he can be a persistent playmate—so if your dog prefers a quieter environment, it might not be the best fit (totally get it… my last dog was the “fun police” too). I work from home, so your dog will get lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also live right by trails, so daily walks and outdoor time are part of our routine. My home is very much a “dogs on the furniture, snuggles in bed” kind of home, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. I know how hard it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet, so I’m big on communication and will send plenty of updates and photos so you always feel connected. I’ve even talked about getting a second dog, so Rover has been a perfect way Ollie to have more furry friends around in the meantime. I work from home and so I’m around most of the day unless i’m going to the gym or running errands. I take Ollie for two walks a day so your pup would join us! I have a fully fenced yard for the dogs to romp and stay safe. Part of the fence is a wire field fence so if your dog is a fence hopper, I’d like to be made aware to keep a closer eye out!
“Gabriel took Lucy to the lake, introduced her to other dogs, and she didn't want to leave when I picked her up. He accommodated my short notice request and I'm so grateful that Lucy had somewhere safe to go while I headed to work.”

About: Hello! My name is Melina and we have a 4-year old Vizsla, Rasco, who loves to sleep, play and follow us on adventures. Your pup will be treated as one of ours, with lots of play time, attention and cuddles. If you have a high-energy dog, he'll fit right in as well, as I go on longer hikes every day with Rasco. In the winter we often cross country ski and in the summer we bike, hike, go to lakes and anything else that's fun! We've got tons of dog toys and dog beds available. Pets are allowed on furniture, and we don't have/use crates as I will mostly be home and around. If you would like to bring your own crate, that is totally fine as well! We have a fenced in yard with a doggie door too, so they have space to play outside as well when we're not out on a walk or a hike. I am happy to answer other questions you may have, just let me know! I currently am taking time off work and have unlimited availability when in town. I am very flexible and open for new bookings and I would love to help care for your pets going into this spring! I will be going to hikes, walks and other adventures depending on needs. We have a fenced backyard and a doggie door, so dogs are always able to get outside anytime. I will usually be home during the day with the dogs, but if I need to run any errands, I will not be out for more than 2 hours.
About: NOTE: Due to encountering a scammer on the Rover app who then targeted me on another platform, I've removed a lot of personal identifying information and photos from this app. Be careful out there!! ---- I live next to Laurel Park and Boulevard Park trail. I am too busy with grad school/work and my place is too small to get my own dog at this time. With that said, I do have the perfect set up for dog sitting and boarding on a temporary basis. I mostly work remote for a local college, with only occasional trips to campus from time to time. I have a flexible remote work/study schedule and I’m home regularly. I’m available to go on long walks from Bellingham to Fairhaven, which is about 5 miles round trip. Aside from that, I can do shorter potty walks at Laurel park or around the neighborhood. I have a (fancy) large elevated dog bed that can hold up to 150 pounds, which can be covered with a cozy blanket (preferably yours so your dog feels at home). My little house is perfect to dog sit and host.
“Avielle was easy to communicate with and her dog Toby is super friendly and immediately went into play mode with Sprocket. She kept me updated with pictures and text throughout the day and when we picked up Sprocket we was all tuckered out from playing all day. Thanks Avielle, would happily have you watch him again!”

“Tami was wonderful! She was open to watching our Trudy for a one-time event while we were enjoyed a full day of non-doggy play while on vacation. Trudy had a BLAST! She came home exhausted. Apparently, she had a grand time in Tami's backyard with her Spaniel. She came back spoiled, but not rotten. Tami is an asset. I wish she lived near me. I would not hesitate to have her watch our Trudy for a short or extended period of time.”

About: I’ve taken care of pet cats, dogs, and reptiles since I was 8 y/o, taking care of animals has been my passion since I was younger. I work at Puget Hound and am a full time student at Western. I am available whenever I am not at those two places. :) I take care of my pets the way I would want to be treated as an animal. I listen to the animals needs and will provide them what they need whether it be food/water, a walk, or a cuddle.

“Karrin is great, super great communication on the app and in person. She sent pictures, although I didn’t get them because I didn’t have WiFi on the whale watching excursion most of the time, until later but she sent me a lot of them for the short amount of time they were with her. She took great care of them. They are looking forward to going back to see her and her puppy tomorrow and spending the night with them!!!”

“Tanya was AMAZING with regards to our pup. She went above and beyond to make our 3mo old pup feel at home. She was able to adapt to our pups needs and ensured that all of her needs were met. We even got sweet updates and photos on how she was doing :) thank you Tanya!!!”
