“Rebecca has watched our home and pup a few times and she’s been phenomenal! She goes above and beyond to accommodate for our doggo and make sure all is set while we are gone. 10/10 recommends her to anyone that asks!”

“Carolyn was absolutely fantastic, even with our very high energy babies who tested her patience while mom and dad were away. She cared for them so well as well as our home. We absolutely loved her and our pups did too!”
“Sierra took great care of our babies- 4 dogs and 3 cats. It made me feel so good knowing that they weren't alone and in Sierra's care. She was very communicative and we were always on the same page with expectations.”

“Wonderful experience for both our pups and us! Thalia was super responsive, cheery, and the pups really responded well to her even while we were away. Would happily have her house/pet sit for us again.”

“Megan is always our first choice for pet/housesitting. Great communication and our dog is always happy and relaxed when we get home. The house is always in good shape too. We are so appreciative!”

About: I have always had pets, specifically indoor dogs and cats. I also have 2 years experience as a kennel tech at a boarding/grooming facility where I worked with dogs of all sizes, cats, reptiles, rabbits and other small mammals. I am comfortable with any size dog and most temperaments. Each dog deserves care and attention, I am well aware that certain breeds have more difficult personality traits (and for good reason, too!) so just let me know what your dog needs and I will accommodate. Regarding dog walks: I am not currently booking for dog walks due to a torn ligament in my ankle. I am still capable of drop ins, boarding, etc. as I am healing, but walks are on hiatus for a few weeks! I am stable/sturdy - just in a boot. I work full time but am available after 5pm on weekdays. I do have a flexible schedule so if you need something, I may be able to accommodate if I can work from home! I have open availability on the weekends. As someone with kennel tech experience, I am very comfortable crating dogs and taking them for walks, playing as much as they want, and adjusting to their specific needs. I also have experience administering medication, both oral and injections.
“Leandra was fantastic! Her communication was excellent and I felt very secure with her watching my dog. She went above and beyond and will definitely book again when I'm out of town.”
About: I grew up having dogs my whole life so they something very special to me. I have my own dogs that I care for and love so much. I’m available most weekends. I have a car so it’ll be easy for me to drop in anytime to walk or check in on the pups. I have a big yard that is fenced in so they will be able to run freely without the worry of them escaping. I also stay out side with them to keep a close eye
“Ashley was fantastic! Her background as a former vet tech really shows—she’s incredibly knowledgeable about puppies and made us feel completely at ease. We also reached out last minute, and she was so accommodating and flexible with our schedule. We’re really grateful for her help and would definitely book with her again!”
About: I have several years of pet sitting experience and over six years of working as a vet tech. I have experience with all animals - large, small, and exotic. I have dog training skills and will keep up your routines with your pets while I care for them. I pet sit part time and will always make sure to care for your pet in the way they deserve. Your fur baby is my number one priority while I care for them. I do drop in visits and walks at your home, where your pet is at ease. I am capable of handling both big and small dogs on walks, as I have one of each. I will always make sure your pet is supervised and getting 100% of my attention during my entire time with them. I never leave a pet alone with anything they could get into and will make sure they are in a safe environment when I leave.
“Grey was great! Respectful to our home but most importantly respectful to our pup! Sent regular updates and went above and beyond. We travel often so we will be using Grey again in the future! Highly recommend! We came home to a happy and healthy pup!”

About: With over 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments, I bring unmatched dedication and attentiveness to every pup I meet. I’m incredibly patient, playful, and tuned in to each pet’s unique needs—whether they need extra cuddles, structured training, or a full day of fetch and fun. I’m also skilled in basic dog training and grooming, including bathing, so your furry friend will be both happy and well cared for. When your dog is with me, they’re family! I offer open availability every day of the week—including weekends and holidays—because I know pet care doesn’t take days off. Whether you need a last-minute sitter, holiday help, or consistent daily care, I’m here and ready to provide reliable, loving support for your pup whenever you need it. Your dog’s comfort and routine are my top priorities, no matter the day or season. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I closely follow each dog’s routine, dietary needs, and behavioral cues to ensure they feel secure and cared for at all times. Whether we’re out for a walk or relaxing at home, I maintain a calm, controlled environment and never take risks with unfamiliar dogs or surroundings. I’m experienced in handling emergency situations and always keep a close eye on your pet’s well-being—because peace of mind for you means happy, healthy pups in my care.
About: I love my dogs and I will love yours to!! Your family member will have a great place to stay, and somebody to play with. They will be well taken care of and have everything they will need, food, water, outside, pet scratches, and belly rubs. We will be taking walks in a lovely neighborhood and spend some time at the park. You may not want them to stay to long or they may not want to go home. I look forward to taking in your family members while you are out of town or taking care of business. Either way you can rest easy knowing your beloved animals are here with me and in a safe place, I will be more than happy to do so! Anything your pet needs I will be there.
“Saira was great! This was our first time leaving one of our dogs with Rover. She did a great job with him and both dogs keep looking for her when we returned. 😂 We’ll book with her again, super glad things went smoothly.”

“Sydney was awesome! She came for a meet and greet and was ready to take on all of my doggies needs. While we were away she sent pictures when I asked and overall communicated great. We are so lucky and blessed to have found the best dog sitters that we can trust our lives with and will be always going back to them.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred China Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in China Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in China Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
