“Carolyn was absolutely fantastic, even with our very high energy babies who tested her patience while mom and dad were away. She cared for them so well as well as our home. We absolutely loved her and our pups did too!”
“This is the second time Sierra has pet sit for my two dogs. Like the first time, she did an excellent job! I felt so comfortable leaving my dogs with her knowing how much time she spends with them. I know they are getting all the love they need while I’m away! On top of taking excellent care of the dogs, Sierra left my home clean and organized like she wasn’t even there. I will definitely use Sierra in the future!”

“Shelli was so caring and attentive to my babies!! Her communication was on point, attention to detail and helpfulness was everything. They loved her, her home and the doggos she had! I would highly recommend her and would trust her with Simon & Dulce any time.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, I currently have one very spoiled dog. I’m very flexible with the times of my visits and walks. I do not discriminate breeds I love all dogs! I am currently a stay at home mom of two with a part time work from home job so that will give me more time to care for your fur baby. I will send you as many pictures and updates as you want. My husband and I were just stationed here in Texas and I’m looking for a side job to keep me busy since I am a stay at home mom of two little boys and a dog of my own. I was a Sous chef in Arizona before we got restationed. I look forward to meeting new pups! I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to look after your animals. I enjoy all breeds of dogs and cats! I have a six foot privacy fence and plenty of yard for pups to run around in. I also have a lead if your pup is an escape artist
About: I have always had pets, specifically indoor dogs and cats. I also have 2 years experience as a kennel tech at a boarding/grooming facility where I worked with dogs of all sizes, cats, reptiles, rabbits and other small mammals. I am comfortable with any size dog and most temperaments. Each dog deserves care and attention, I am well aware that certain breeds have more difficult personality traits (and for good reason, too!) so just let me know what your dog needs and I will accommodate. Regarding dog walks: I am not currently booking for dog walks due to a torn ligament in my ankle. I am still capable of drop ins, boarding, etc. as I am healing, but walks are on hiatus for a few weeks! I am stable/sturdy - just in a boot. I work full time but am available after 5pm on weekdays. I do have a flexible schedule so if you need something, I may be able to accommodate if I can work from home! I have open availability on the weekends. As someone with kennel tech experience, I am very comfortable crating dogs and taking them for walks, playing as much as they want, and adjusting to their specific needs. I also have experience administering medication, both oral and injections.
“We are so grateful for Megan! She took great care of our pets and house while we were away. The pets were happy and the house looked great when we got home. Very reliable and timely communication. We had full peace of mind while we were out of town. Thank you, Megan! ❤️”

“Great service and excellent communication. My pets were very well taken care of and they even managed to make friends with my antisocial cat. They sent tons of pictures throughout the visit and stayed in constant communication. Would definitely book with them again.”

“Jenn did a great job. She walked Cooper everyday and played with him a lot while she stayed at my home. This was the first time I had left him here while I traveled (13 days) and I felt very safe with her. She communicated daily including pictures.”

“I can’t thank Jacob enough for taking care of my dogs and newborn puppies while I was on vacation. He followed every instruction to the letter, kept the house clean, and made sure the pups were fed and rotated with the mom just like we planned. He was reliable, respectful, and even updated me with photos and messages so I had peace of mind the whole time. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a dependable and caring pet sitter. Appreciate you, Jacob!”

“Leandra was fantastic! Her communication was excellent and I felt very secure with her watching my dog. She went above and beyond and will definitely book again when I'm out of town.”
“We were in town for work and really wanted to bring our 16 weeknold Cavapoo with us as we just adopted him. We reached out to Ashley before arriving in San Antonio to ensure she had availability. We read reviews of various sitters and decided on Ashley. Upon I still contact right up to picking up our fur son, we felt comfortable. She was very accommodating and had a wonderful vide from initial contact up to when we picked up our puppy. We definitely will use her again if we are in town again. If she lived by us, we would hire her a a lot!”

About: I have been an ongoing volunteer at the Animal Defense League of San Antonio since I was about 9 y/o, taking the dogs on walks and socializing the cats and kittens. I have thorough knowledge and experience with raising and fostering kittens, as well as dogs just under 1y/o. I've owned and fostered cats and dogs at varying life stages, throughout my entire life as well. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in animal care and the handling of a myriad of pets and wildlife. While currently also shadowing a very experienced and accredited dog trainer, I am definitely confident in my ability to provide extra care and love for your sweet, fur-babies. Currently, I am in-between jobs, so I as long as I have about a day's heads-up, I'm usually free pretty much any day to care for you furry friend. I perfer to start my work day around afternoon to late afternoon, though morning time isn't a deal-breaker. I want your pet to experience the least amount of stress possible (especially during the first couple visits), so I try to stick to their daily routine as much as I can. For walks, I am quite comfortable walking bigger dogs that may come across as a lot to handle, despite being of a smaller stature. I have experience with training arduous or physically demanding dogs to walk beautifully on the leash also. As for drop-in visits and sitting, I will always stick to the schedule you provide and the safety and well-being of your pet will always be my top priority.
About: I love my dogs and I will love yours to!! Your family member will have a great place to stay, and somebody to play with. They will be well taken care of and have everything they will need, food, water, outside, pet scratches, and belly rubs. We will be taking walks in a lovely neighborhood and spend some time at the park. You may not want them to stay to long or they may not want to go home. I look forward to taking in your family members while you are out of town or taking care of business. Either way you can rest easy knowing your beloved animals are here with me and in a safe place, I will be more than happy to do so! Thank you for your time and hope I’m a good match for you and your fur babies. I currently have free time at my home so I would love to spend some time with a friendly pet. I am currently a stay at home mom. I like to give attention when attention is needed to pets. If they want to play I will play with them or if they need to go out to potty, I will take them out. We had such a great experience with our dog sitter! Our black lab absolutely loved him. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and happy. We got regular updates, photos, and could see how relaxed and well cared for our dog was the entire time. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Boldtville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Boldtville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boldtville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
