“Amazing sitter for our furry child! Breanna was very reassuring and friendly and has the cutest little yard for the pups All of our fur babies got a long very well and I know tater tot had a blast Very good at responding on time and making sure tater was comfortable and happy 10/10 recommend!!”

“I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!! Tammy was great! We are truly blessed to have met her and to have had her watch our fur babies. We were able to enjoy our time with our family without any worries. She kept us informed of all the fun they were having with pictures and videos. One less worry for us to think about the next time we have to go out of town. Thank you Tammy for all you did for us!”

“Loretta was great with our three dogs. She sent daily updates and always maintained an open line of communication while we were away. This was our first time using a rover for our dogs and we were super happy with our experience. Will definitely be booking again!!”

“Josh has kept my dogs multiple times, and he is simply the best dog sitter ever - in the history of the world! I pray he never moves or retires because I trust him with my dogs' lives, and he would be impossible to replace.”

“Megan and her family were very friendly! My pup started out extremely shy/timid, but her dog's are friendly and welcoming, so once I returned from my trip I could see how confident my pup had become. Having Megan dog sit was a great choice and the best first experience with this site that I could've asked for. I highly recommend and will recommend her to my friends/coworkers.”
“Pamela was wonderful she kept us up to date through the day. She also send us pictures keeping us comfortable. It was a pleasure having her pet sit for us. My boys had an amazing time.”

“Amy was great. My pup spent a week with her. Amy updated us through the week. Way better than putting her in a kennel with dogs barking all day. Highly recommend! Will definitely use her again.”

“Karen was outstanding! We had a nice meet an greet with our dogs. She then took care of and loved our dog like her own. She sent plenty of pictures an kept us updated daily. She had a big back yard and two nice small dogs. We couldn't ask for anything more and will be using her again.”

“April did a great job with boarding my Chihuahua, Oliver. She sent very good photos and videos and was good about keeping in touch. She also made sure to keep Oliver safe and happy.”

“We couldn't be more grateful to Michaella for taking such amazing care of our dog while we were away. From the start, she made us feel completely at ease with her kind and professional approach. It was clear that our pup was not only safe, but also truly loved and cared for like one of her own. Michaella kept us updated with regular messages and the sweetest photos, which really helped us feel connected and reassured. Her communication was excellent, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Our dog clearly adored her, and we came home to a happy, relaxed pup—which says it all. We highly recommend Michaella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and responsible caregiver. She's simply the best! 🐾”

“Cindy was amazing with my fur baby Star. She gave me daily updates and pictures. She took such good care of her and made her feel right at home. I would definitely use Cindy again!”

“ANOTHER fabulous dog-cation! Vinter loves his time with Steve & Randi and Mika! He knows exactly where we are when we pull up to their driveway and he RUNS to their front door ready to play! We always receive LOTS of photos and Vinter is so happy and comfortable and cared for while we are away. Thank you so much!”

“Nothing negative to say! Very friendly, and her dogs were incredibly compatible with my puppy Molly. Will be Booking with Daisy in the future because it looks like Molly has made some new friends!”

“Daniela was great ! She kept us updated the whole booking. The pups came home ready for a nap which means they had an eventful and fun stay. Will definitely be booking again.”

“This was my first experience boarding my dog Tuna or leaving her in anyone else's care. Stephanie went above and beyond for Tuna. Stephanie sent pictures, replied promptly, and made sure everyone was at ease. Stephanie was quick to respond, professional, kind, and her services were very affordable. I boarded Tuna for about 6 days. If I ever need to board her again, I will be coming to her! 10/10 reccomend”

“Aaron has been a blessing! He keeps me updated with Zena’s eating, playtime etc. She has never stayed away from me more than a night and the first few days was hard for her missing me she wouldn’t eat. Aaron didn’t give up. He kept loving her and coaching her even cooked her an egg and she finally ate. I have had major surgery so Zenas stay is an extended stay! This has meant Flexibility was needed and Aaron was very happy to work with me to keep her longer while I heal. Very thankful for Aaron!!”

“Mollie is an absolute gem! I have renamed her “the Dog Whisperer” as she has a special gift with dogs. She understands them and caters to their needs in a way no other pet sitter has. She will love and pamper your pet to ensure it feels comfortable while you are away. Mollie is honestly one of the best (if not the best) pet sitters we have ever encountered in several years of having people watch our dog(s). She will be watching our sweet pup again next month while we are away and we couldn’t be happier finding such a great Rover. She is reliable and communicates frequently assuring you how your pet is settling into their home away from home. Also, her dog is unbelievable. He is gentle and engaging but just to the level your dog is comfortable with. Our dog doesn’t love other dogs and did great with Chance. Chance and Mollie are a great team and will take the very best care of your pet! Highly recommend her. A+++++++++”

About: Growing up in the Hill Country, my family always had at least 4 pets at any given time. Usually no less than three dogs. I also volunteer at the San Antonio Humane Society when I can! Now, living in the city I don't have a dog of my own and am missing having a furry friend! This is not just a side gig for me but a way to be able to enjoy the company of my favorite furry friends! I'm currently in between work so I can dedicate my full schede to watching over your pets. Ideally, I'd like to find remote work so I can still look over your pets. First and foremost I give lots of love and attention! I have and do volunteer for SAHS and agree with most if not all of their policies on dog care. This means no use of fear, pain, hitting, or similar corrective actions. These behaviors have shown to suppress behavior without actually teaching the dog what you want and can create anxiety and even aggression. Dogs and cats have been a part of my life since I was a baby so I'm pretty familiar with their body language and try to be mindful of their needs. I consider them part of the family and usually treat them as such by ensuring they have a comfortable and pleasant environment. I think establishing a "safe place" for your pets to retreat to when they are feeling anxious is a great way to build strong bonds. My mom's dog, bullet, has one of the worst cases of ADHD I've seen in a dog and when he's feeling overwhelmed by too many guests in the house or strange weather, he likes to disappear deep into my mom's walk in closet.
“Very positive experience!!! Kept us informed of our dog's status at regular intervals by sending photos and videos. Not enough superlatives in my head to adequately describe Sara's caring nature. Will use again I am sure!!!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - China Grove
Thomas was amazing with Jinu! He took care of him for two weeks and did such a great job. He kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Jinu looked so happy and well taken care of the whole time! Really appreciate how caring and attentive Thomas was. We’d definitely trust him with Jinu again and highly recommend him! 🐶❤️

Jada was so welcoming of my 3 dogs including my big German shepherd! She gave me a tour of her home and showed me her backyard to make sure it was all okay for the dogs. My dogs were spoiled and slept on their very own twin beds in their own room. She did a great job with my pups and sent me updates and pictures. We hope to continue to use Jada in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their China Grove home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your China Grove.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your China Grove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
