“Antavia was amazing! She took very good care of my fur baby! Apollo definitely enjoyed himself and the environment he experienced! Definitely will use her again!”

“Lovely couple with a baby and a toddler. Buffy had to warm up to Parker, their German Shepherd but I hear it went well. Tyler and wife watched Buffy on a holiday, July 4th. They were very gracious when I requested an itinerary change. I felt like they were really attuned to Buff-dog. Will definitely ask again for their assistance.Highly recommend.”

“Kaseem was very attentive to Gabe's needs and communicated well. Gabe barely knew we had arrived to pick him up. Kaseem is highly recommended and we will request his services any time we go out of town”
“AMAZING PET SITTER!! She always sends pictures and videos, is funny, and easy to communicate with. I trust her a lot with my grumpy and silly old man dog. She took fantastic care of him and I recommend her. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Thank you so much for watching Casio and Koa! We really appreciate the extra care given for Casio’s eye injury. As always, we know our pups are in great hands and have fun playing with old and new friends!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Mary. My dog struggles with separation anxiety, so leaving her can be stressful, but she was in incredibly capable and compassionate hands. From the start, it was clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she boards and takes the time to understand their individual needs. She was patient, attentive, and proactive in making sure my dog felt comfortable and secure. I received updates that gave me peace of mind, and it was obvious my dog was being well cared for. When I picked her up, she was calm, happy, and clearly had been treated with kindness. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Lindsay was an amazing sitter for Kilo. She was incredibly friendly, responsive, and thoughtful from the very beginning, and took the time to do a meet and greet to be sure Kilo and her pup were a good match. She followed all of our care instructions perfectly and sent consistent updates while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we picked Kilo up, he was calm, relaxed, and clearly comfortable — it was obvious he felt right at home with Lindsay. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her.”

“Monica was very attentive and patient with questions I had and with Marley in her care! You can tell that she is a very caring pet mom. I received pictures and a detail daily report of Marley’s stay and activities. I was comfortable with leaving Marley with Monica and his new playmates.”

“Our first time using Rover, we traveled to the D.C area in our RV and needed someone to watch our fur baby overnight while we toured the area. I contacted Elissa about month prior and she was very responsive. We did a meet & greet the day before the stay and our boy went right up to her and was very relaxed, he can be a bit particular about people. Elissa made us feel at ease. During his stay she sent us pictures and we couldn't of been more please. We sincerely appreciate her and she did a great job with our instructions. If anyone needs their dogs watched do not hesitate to contact her, we highly recommend her services!!”

“Excellent boarder! They made our older dog feel welcome and right at home. Their dog was a perfect companion and friendly too. Would certainly use again and highly reccomend.”

“Kiyanna is the dog whisperer🤣. She always takes excellent care of our senior dog and even manages to get him to play with other dogs......something that he has no interest In doing when he’s at home with us!! We also love that she always sends us the best pictures of him while we are away. Thank you for taking great care of our baby!!!”

About: I provide loving care for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to seniors, with experience in training, special needs, and making every animal feel safe. Lori is an amazing sitter! This was the first time that I left Charlie at someone else’s house, and I was very nervous. Lori quickly made me feel at ease. She touched base with me every day, and sent pictures. She was very attentive to my dogs’ needs and I can tell my Charlie girl was well cared for. Thanks so much, Lori! We will use you again.

Bianca was fantastic!! From the get go she made Bailey feel welcome, comfortable and loved! She is a genuine pet lover! Bianca was accommodating to our asks re Baileys rules, super communicative kept us updated during his stay and we could tell he was happy. Bianca has a great space and set up for the doggies. I would totally recommend and would def book again. Thank you Bianca and Family!

This was Vesper and Naraa’s first overnight stay away from us, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! It was obvious from the start that they were in caring, capable hands. She treated them like they were her own, sent thoughtful photo updates throughout their stay, and made sure they felt right at home, even letting them sleep in bed with her. She has a securely fenced yard and a friendly dog that ours got along with wonderfully. Before pickup, she even took them for a walk so they came home happy, tired, and ready for a nap. Knowing they were so well cared for gave us real peace of mind. We will definitely be booking with her again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly treat their dogs like family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
