“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received while staying with Monica. Having a virtual meeting was ideal for us to get to know Monica and for her to learn more about Bentley. This helped solidify that I made the right decision. From the moment I dropped Bentley off, I felt confident that he was in great hands. Throughout Bentley’s stay, I received updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. It was clear he were getting plenty of exercise, socialization, and love. When I picked him up, he was happy and had obviously been well cared for. I highly recommend Monica to anyone looking for a reliable and loving place to board their dog. I will definitely be bringing Bentley back in the future!”

“Lynette and Vincent were hands down my fur baby, Chloe’s family while we were away. This has been my best experience with Rover. Lynette was so flexible and responsive throughout the entire process. She is so kind and took such great care of Chloe. She went beyond the usual things that it takes to care for a pup. I truly appreciate her and her husband and I can assure you will vacay at ease with them caring for your pup. I can’t wait til next time!!”

“I would leave 6 - Stars if I could. My fur baby was well taken care of. Donna and her husband were excellent hosts. Their love for pets was very obvious. I truly hope I have the opportunity to board my baby with them again.”

“If you're looking for someone to care for your fur baby like their very own, look no further than Kristi — she is absolutely wonderful! I entrusted Kristi with my dog Maize, and I couldn't have made a better decision. Kristi didn't just watch Maize — she completely spoiled her! Maize had what I can only describe as a little mini vacation, and I think she may have enjoyed herself more than we did on our trip! What truly sets Kristi apart is how thoughtful and communicative she is. She kept us well informed throughout the entire stay, sending the most adorable pictures that gave us total peace of mind. There's nothing better than seeing your pup happy, comfortable, and clearly being showered with love while you're away. I highly recommend Kristi to anyone who wants their pet to be in the most caring, attentive hands possible. You'll leave knowing your fur baby is safe, loved, and maybe a little spoiled — and you'll actually be able to relax and enjoy your time away. We are so grateful for Kristi and will absolutely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Lovely couple with a baby and a toddler. Buffy had to warm up to Parker, their German Shepherd but I hear it went well. Tyler and wife watched Buffy on a holiday, July 4th. They were very gracious when I requested an itinerary change. I felt like they were really attuned to Buff-dog. Will definitely ask again for their assistance.Highly recommend.”

“Ashley kept my fur baby for 1 day and night. I am super pleased with how she and her boys cared for my dog. She sent pics and I could tell he was enjoying his stay even though he's a true Momma's boy. I would recommend and use Ashley's services again. She is very polite and professional.”

“If you’re not booking Mady when she has availability then what are you doing. Mady was AWESOME! She took great care of our dog and sent tons of pictures and some video. She has a dog friendly home so if your dog has free range of the house like ours they will feel at home. Definitely will be using Mady again if her availability meets our needs for boarding. 5 ⭐️ job Mady.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Mary. My dog struggles with separation anxiety, so leaving her can be stressful, but she was in incredibly capable and compassionate hands. From the start, it was clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she boards and takes the time to understand their individual needs. She was patient, attentive, and proactive in making sure my dog felt comfortable and secure. I received updates that gave me peace of mind, and it was obvious my dog was being well cared for. When I picked her up, she was calm, happy, and clearly had been treated with kindness. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Shuling was like a second mom to Wally while I was away! They treated him like he was their own and he loved playing with their dog. Shuling sent pictures and videos every day so that I felt comfortable. Looked like he was having a blast! Will definitely book again.”

“As a first time Rover client, my husband and I were very hesitant to leave our big boy with "anybody" not knowing if they would treat him like we do...like family! Well, *insert* Gio and Vanessa! They are not just "anybody" they are EVERYTHING!!!! From scheduling a meet up to dropping Zulu off, this whole experience with Rover, in particular, Gio and Vanessa, was so so amazing. Gio is who my husband and I met first, and we instantly clicked. He is warm, inviting, professional, and his love for animals is very apparent. We bought our little Big guy with us and even he fell asleep, peacefully, as we spoke about our likes and dislikes and how we parent Zulu. Gio was very upfront about how their system runs at their house, and because I'm a planner who also loves structure, so listening to Gio talk about how the drop off, daily videos, feedings, walks, interactions, and pickup would happen was like music to my ears. After our first meet up, we made sure to set the family up for success with Zulu and just like Gio said, things were so super smooth. He stuck to his word and shared daily videos and we chatted through Whats App when needed. He and his family showed Zulu kindness and love and we will NEVER forget that. For our first experience with leaving our furbaby in the care of who started out as a stranger, only to end this whole experience feeling like we left our guy with a home filled with love, we have to admit Gio and Vanessa are EXACTLY who you would want to care for your furbaby...no matter the size. Please don't hesitate to give them a try. It's a pup care heaven! We are totally satisfied and might I add, a bit spoiled by goodness to our furbaby! Go ahead, click on their page!! You won't regret it ❣️”

“La Tasha always takes care of Ace as if he is her own. I don’t know what I’d ever do if she wasn’t available to watch my Ace. Very caring and loving environment. Love the checkins and updates”

I have 2 well-socialized basset hounds that are the highlight of my day. There is plenty of room to roam and play. Can offer trail walks / runs, fetch, belly rubs, swimming (if Owner allows), couch time, and toys & treats. Comfortable with the extra care senior dogs require. Happy to accept puppies too. Able to administer medications, CPR, and handle emergencies. True animal lover. I will treat your pets like they are my own. Your pets would not be left alone for more than 2 hours - I work 3 mi. from my home so would be able to pop home anytime to tend to your pets. I have a 1-acre fenced in area and 300 acres of farmland to roam. Happy to crate your dogs if requested; otherwise they would be allowed in the home freely.
“This Tiko’s second time staying with Yousef and we couldn’t be happier, they are communicative and always send pics. Tiko is always happy when he returns and there is little to no anxiety. I can tell that he truly enjoys his time there!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
