My pup enjoyed her check-in with Ashley, as evidenced by her contented napping when I got home. Ashley was prompt and followed instructions to ensure my trained dog was obedient. 🤓

Was searching for a walker very last minute and I could not have been luckier to have been able to get Jake to care for my dog! I felt so secure and comfortable with him in his care and he was so responsive and kind, and I will surely be looking him up well in advance of my next trip so I have a good chance of being able to have him walk my little guy again! Thank you so very much, Jake!!!

About: I have 5 years of experience working at a kennel as a kennel technician. In this position I worked with all different breeds and ages of dogs. I learned how to take care of dogs with all sorts of health needs depending on their abilities and conditions. I have no problem with any dogs and I love working with them! I'm working a full time job but I am able to do overnight on weekends (thursday through Monday since I work from home sometimes) and I can yelp out throughout the week after normal work hours. I am comfortable with whatever specific needs your dog has. I have no problem crating a dog, walking a dog, hanging out, whatever is needed for your specific pet, I am willing and able to do.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up with dogs taught me exactly how to read their body language and give them the care, attention, and love they deserve. I treat every furry guest just like my own, making sure they stay happy, active, and fully comfortable while you're away I’m currently working a full-time job, but I work remotely every other week which gives me some spare time and I’d love to use it to spend with some dogs. I do have two kids ages three and eight both love dogs. I don’t have any dogs in my own, but I plan to get one and then your future however I was in our home with four dogs at a time

We started communicating with Rose a few weeks ago in preparation for our upcoming trip. She was tremendous and so patient with all my questions and communication. Rose came over for a meet and greet and again for a dog walk. She is very genuine, caring and and understanding of dogs “with baggage”. We highly recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to be a reference.

I will meet your pet exactly where they are-I can chase and play with your dog across the yard, or I can be extra gentle and caring with your senior pet. I'm a student online. About: I am a stay at home mom to 2 girls, ages 4 and 5 and we recently moved to the area! My husband is in the Navy. We live in a townhouse in North Beach, MD. I have a cat that can be timid with new animals, and tends to hide until he feels more comfortable. I would love to help out with your furry family members! I hate when I have to be away from mine so I would give them tons of love so they feel comfortable and at home while you are away. I am available for all needs except for pet sitting in your home, since I have kiddos that need me at my home. Please let me know if I can help you out in any way! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. I am with my girls a lot this summer but they would LOVE to accompany me on visits with your pet! I will have a lot more independent time this fall once they start school. We do not have a fenced in yard but I would be happy to do as many walks as needed for your pup! Our cat can be weary with new animals but he hides and then warms up quickly.

About: As a dedicated animal lover with a family legacy of operating three successful boarding and grooming kennels in Maryland, I am passionate about providing exceptional animal care. With a decade of experience working at Countryside Kennels in Owings, MD, and Countrysides Pet Resort in Hughesville, MD, I developed a robust foundation in animal care. I then pursued a veterinary career, working for three years at Animal Eye Care. After relocating, I worked at Branches vet in Tifton, GA, and Southside Vet in Moultrie, GA. In 2021, I moved to Sumter, SC, and worked at Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in Lugoff, SC for three years. In addition to my veterinary experience, I operate a side business, At Your Service, offering house cleaning and pet sitting services since 2007. With my expertise in grooming and possession of necessary equipment, I am confident in providing exceptional care for your pets. My eleven-year-old child also shares my passion for animal care! Please consider my services for your pet care needs. Working remotely has given me the opportunity to prioritize Rover as my main source of income, allowing me to be more readily available to assist with pet care needs. I am committed to ensuring your pet's comfort and will take all necessary steps to achieve this goal. I am confident in my ability to assess your pet's behavior and provide a comfortable experience, allowing you to be at ease.

About: Promo Code for $40 off first time booking for Pet Owners that it is their first time using Rover- AMANDD61392 Friends and Family call me the animal whisperer. I have had a dog/dogs my whole life. I have taken care of dogs from brand new puppies, to babies that were at the end of their life. I'm currently not working full time away from home, so for any boardings that are on week days or weekends, you and your fur babies are good to go. I do have one small dog at home BUT, if you prefer your dogs to be alone while here, my dog is easily brought to his grandparents house:), which they are always happy about. I will update when my work schedule changes. I have a fenced yard (tall privacy wooden fence with sliding deadbolt), and can easily crate dogs if needed. Any animals would have free range of the house and the yard. Your babies are my babies while I am taking care of them.

About: I've helped raise puppies. I've had a dog of my own my whole life. Friends leave their pups with me while they go away, or when they need help potty or crate training. I cannot currently watch pets in my home but I can care for your pet in the comfort of your home. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate taking care of your pet(s) as needed around my own day to day responsibilities. I will take care of your pet as you regularly do. Are they crated while you're away? They'll be crated if I'm not there. Or do they only feel safe in certain rooms or need a "safety toy"? I'm make sure they have what they need to be as calm and happy as can be while you're away.

Rose is fantastic! She is patient, attentive, and truly caring. Emily is a re-homed pup who can be wary of new people, but Rose has done an amazing job earning her trust and making her feel comfortable. She sends plenty of pictures and provides thoughtful, detailed updates, which gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable pet sitter!

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
