“Jake was amazing. He helped me out with little notice and was so kind and sweet to my dog Skye. He not only played and walked with her he took time just to sit and pet her. He is a gem and we will be calling him again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years, including having my own dogs. I am a travel nurse and I usually volunteer to walk dogs at shelters when I’m on assignment. I work full time as a nurse, but I only work 3 days a week. My schedule is usually free on the 4 days a week that I’m off of work. I am currently living in an apartment while on assignment in North Beach, Md, so I can only take car of pets in your own home.
“We started communicating with Rose a few weeks ago in preparation for our upcoming trip. She was tremendous and so patient with all my questions and communication. Rose came over for a meet and greet and again for a dog walk. She is very genuine, caring and and understanding of dogs “with baggage”. We highly recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to be a reference.”

About: I am a stay at home mom to 2 girls, ages 4 and 5 and we recently moved to the area! My husband is in the Navy. We live in a townhouse in North Beach, MD. I have a cat that can be timid with new animals, and tends to hide until he feels more comfortable. I would love to help out with your furry family members! I hate when I have to be away from mine so I would give them tons of love so they feel comfortable and at home while you are away. I am available for all needs except for pet sitting in your home, since I have kiddos that need me at my home. Please let me know if I can help you out in any way! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. I am with my girls a lot this summer but they would LOVE to accompany me on visits with your pet! I will have a lot more independent time this fall once they start school. We do not have a fenced in yard but I would be happy to do as many walks as needed for your pup! Our cat can be weary with new animals but he hides and then warms up quickly.
“My pup enjoyed her check-in with Ashley, as evidenced by her contented napping when I got home. Ashley was prompt and followed instructions to ensure my trained dog was obedient. 🤓”

“Aleah is the BEST! She responded so quickly, she asked super thoughtful questions about how to provide the best car for my dogs, shes so sweet and was so helpful, and she took really great care of my dogs! Absolutely will be hiring her again in the future and I highly recommend her, she’ll take the best care of your pets :)”

About: Save $20 off your first booking with me with code: MOLLYF52367! I have trained 4 different dogs small and large from puppy-hood. My 4 year old yellow lab is sweet and LOVES other dogs. I have 2 small children and an amazing, supportive husband who also share my passion. I was an educator for 11 years and now work from home full time for an infection disease prevention company. I miss giving back to my community as a teacher and wanted to offer my dog expertise as a way to help others. I am reliable, punctual, and will care for your pet as much as I love my very own! I work full time from home with flexible hours where I am able to fit walks, feedings, play dates, etc. in during the day! Evenings are usually pretty busy as I do have 2 little boys. Like I said, my dog, Barkley, is the BEST dog ever. He is friendly and will be kind to all. I am always willing to bring him along for a walk or play date at your house or can bring your furry friend here to our fenced in backyard of pure fun! We have tons of toys and treats (if you allow)! We create a nurturing environment for our dog and will do the same for yours. Barkley spends his down time on our couch where he enjoys warning me about any suspicious Amazon drivers throughout the day :)
“Amy (and her beautiful family) did such a wonderful job with our fur babies while we were out of town. She kept us informed on their daily activities, fed them, walked them and sent us plenty of pictures. You can tell Amy genuinely cares. We would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and responsible dog walker.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland Hills
Rose is fantastic! She is patient, attentive, and truly caring. Emily is a re-homed pup who can be wary of new people, but Rose has done an amazing job earning her trust and making her feel comfortable. She sends plenty of pictures and provides thoughtful, detailed updates, which gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable pet sitter!

Always perfect. Luna is kind, caring and considering taking care of my dog, Molly. Molly has grown to love Luna so I always feel comfortable knowing that she is so well taken care of. Luna is a great communicator and if needs to reach out will certainly be in contact. I truly cannot recommend her enough. Trust me, you’ll be so pleased.

- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
