About: My love for animals began as a child. I was raised in a house with a plethora of pets (cats, dogs, birds, fish) and the love continued to grow while working at my grandparent's boarding kennel as a teenager. I currently work shift work and am flexible on my off days. Whether it's a short term notice for a quick walk or advanced notice, I would love to be able to accommodate your pet's needs. I live within access to numerous walking trails and am avid staying active and being outdoors. I do not currently own any pets and will maintain a safe and trustworthy environment providing attentive care for your pet.
About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years, including having my own dogs. I am a travel nurse and I usually volunteer to walk dogs at shelters when I’m on assignment. I work full time as a nurse, but I only work 3 days a week. My schedule is usually free on the 4 days a week that I’m off of work. I am currently living in an apartment while on assignment in North Beach, Md, so I can only take car of pets in your own home.
About: My goal is to take your spot as your pet’s best friend .. uhh I mean provide excellent care and service whenever duty calls :) My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am generally available each afternoon. I am sure that we can work out a reasonable time to get your pets situated! Owners rules are law. Whether it’s playtime, supper, potty time, etc I’ve got you covered. I am unable to provide services in my home at this time.
About: I grew up walking dogs at the humane society and have had a dog all my life. I now have had my dog, Lou, for 7 years. He is a huge German Sheppard mix, he’s full of anxiety, but communicative in his cues to me and has taught me a lot. My friends have always had dogs and I loved being able to take care of them while they were away! I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I have an incredibly flexible schedule and can dedicate as much time as needed. I am here for what you need! I can walk, feed, watch, and hangout with your dog. I love taking walks and meeting new fur babies, their needs are my priority
About: I have had many different pets growing up ever since I was born! I have walked, fed, bathed, and taken care of many pets in my life as well as my own growing up. I am currently unemployed but am still looking for a part time job, so in the meantime I am very flexible and available to take care of your pets every day of the week including weekends! I have two big furry dogs that love to play so I go play with them outside as well as take them to the park when it’s nice out!
“Ashley consistently follows the care instructions for my large breed pup. ❤️ I know that my pup is safe no matter the weather or outside distractions. We are thankful for the helping hands and extended pup-family.”

About: I am a stay at home mom to 2 girls, ages 4 and 5 and we recently moved to the area! My husband is in the Navy. We live in a townhouse in North Beach, MD. I have a cat that can be timid with new animals, and tends to hide until he feels more comfortable. I would love to help out with your furry family members! I hate when I have to be away from mine so I would give them tons of love so they feel comfortable and at home while you are away. I am available for all needs except for pet sitting in your home, since I have kiddos that need me at my home. Please let me know if I can help you out in any way! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. I am with my girls a lot this summer but they would LOVE to accompany me on visits with your pet! I will have a lot more independent time this fall once they start school. We do not have a fenced in yard but I would be happy to do as many walks as needed for your pup! Our cat can be weary with new animals but he hides and then warms up quickly.
“Amy (and her beautiful family) did such a wonderful job with our fur babies while we were out of town. She kept us informed on their daily activities, fed them, walked them and sent us plenty of pictures. You can tell Amy genuinely cares. We would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and responsible dog walker.”

About: I've helped raise puppies. I've had a dog of my own my whole life. Friends leave their pups with me while they go away, or when they need help potty or crate training. I cannot currently watch pets in my home but I can care for your pet in the comfort of your home. I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate taking care of your pet(s) as needed around my own day to day responsibilities. I will take care of your pet as you regularly do. Are they crated while you're away? They'll be crated if I'm not there. Or do they only feel safe in certain rooms or need a "safety toy"? Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Annie Hall
Rose is fantastic! She is patient, attentive, and truly caring. Emily is a re-homed pup who can be wary of new people, but Rose has done an amazing job earning her trust and making her feel comfortable. She sends plenty of pictures and provides thoughtful, detailed updates, which gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Rose to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable pet sitter!

Always perfect. Luna is kind, caring and considering taking care of my dog, Molly. Molly has grown to love Luna so I always feel comfortable knowing that she is so well taken care of. Luna is a great communicator and if needs to reach out will certainly be in contact. I truly cannot recommend her enough. Trust me, you’ll be so pleased.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Annie Hall. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Annie Hall.

- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
