“Lori was amazing with our Elmer! She was attentive to his needs and kept us informed along the way. I loved that she provided us with daily photos. I highly recommend her care and Elmer can’t wait to visit again!”

“Bianca was fantastic!! From the get go she made Bailey feel welcome, comfortable and loved! She is a genuine pet lover! Bianca was accommodating to our asks re Baileys rules, super communicative kept us updated during his stay and we could tell he was happy. Bianca has a great space and set up for the doggies. I would totally recommend and would def book again. Thank you Bianca and Family!”

“Faith was a great find for watching Tank! From the moment Tank met Faith at the meet & greet a few days beforehand, he was excited to be with her. When I dropped him off, I knew he was in good hands. I highly recommend Faith. Only recommendation is for her to send more pics to tge owner without having to be prompted.”

“My family and I travel separately because we had not found the right sitter for our babies. We will never look any further, because Lindsey and her family treated my babies as if they were theirs. How do I know? They were full of smiles each time she sent us a picture of them, while we were away. We are now planning trips for the future, because Devin & Louie have another place to call home when we are away. Thank you so much. We look forward to future visits!”

“Elizabeth was an amazing sitter for my Pyrenees/Golden mix! I could tell he genuinely appreciated her company and will remember her forever now! She was very patient with him, as he struggles with stairs. Her communication was also excellent throughout. I was 1000 miles away but receiving pictures and daily updates really help assure me that Joni was having a nice time. Thanks again!!”

“This was a first sitting with Monica but won’t be the last. She sent pictures throughout the day to keep me updated and my pup came out tail wagging and happy and that’s what it’s all about. We will certainly see her again soon!”

“Shuling was outstanding with her loving care for our 4 year old Venus. She followed our feeding instructions and provided pictures and/or videos daily. The pics showed how happy Venus had adjusted in her home with her dog Bear and other dogs at times. Shuling could be a photographer because she took the best pics. I am so thankful for the loving care Shuling provided for our pup. This was the longest we left Venus and she was well taken care of. I believe Venus is missing her new friend Bear because when I mention his name she gives a positive response. We will definitely use Shuling in the future. I would highly recommend Shuling for anyone considering a dog sitter. Thanks again Shuling and your family!”

“Lovely couple with a baby and a toddler. Buffy had to warm up to Parker, their German Shepherd but I hear it went well. Tyler and wife watched Buffy on a holiday, July 4th. They were very gracious when I requested an itinerary change. I felt like they were really attuned to Buff-dog. Will definitely ask again for their assistance.Highly recommend.”

“Zulma took such great care of my two Shitzus Louie & Zoey. I got regular photo/video updates which I really appreciated. She asked for permission, which I gave, to bathe them, they were most likely smelly due to the weather. Can I tell you when we picked them up they were so silky, shiney and soft! Even more so than when they come from the groomers. I really must ask her what is the product she used! We will most definitely book her again!”

“My dog stayed with Brian for 4 days. I cannot day enough great things about Brian’s dog sitting. We received photo updates 2x/day. My dog doesn’t go into a kennel, so it was especially important to find a place that he can make himself at home. Don’t hesitate to schedule a stay with Brian...pet will enjoy every bit of their stay!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! They welcomed our pup for a last-minute weekend stay and gave him such a comfortable, happy place to settle in. Their dog was a wonderful playmate, and the frequent updates and lots of photos made it easy to relax knowing he was having a great time. They were communicative throughout and incredibly accommodating as our schedule kept changing. We’re so grateful for the care and flexibility, and would happily book with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Sabrina took great care of my doggie while we were away during Thanksgiving. My little guy had a great time and made new friends. She shared lots of pics and videos while we were away. I will schedule another visit soon.”

“Thankful to have found loving sitters. They took time to host a meet and greet prior to boarding. I was so nervous leaving my older, grouchy dog but they aaaures me he would be fine. I enjoyed daily pics and updates of them. I’m sure Snoop and Bear miss you all and your family. Thank you again. See ya soon”

“Everything went great with my dog’s first stay with Kelly. She was extremely attentive, sent feedback and pictures during her stay, and even did paw print art with my dog! We are already signed up for our next visit! Kelly is wonderful!”

“Roxsand was amazing. She is very personable and so attentive with the pups. My Chloe girl made new friends and was kept safe. Roxsand is extremely knowledgeable about caring for pets and her home is filled with love. I highly recommend her for keeping your fur baby.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for friends and neighbors for the past 5 years. I absolutely love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own! 🐾❤️ Our family homeschools, so there’s almost always someone home. Your dog will be welcomed as part of our family, with plenty of attention, love, and companionship. They’ll rarely have to be home alone 😊 We have a Boston Terrier who is used to having other dogs around and does well sharing her space with them. I keep dogs on a leash when we go outside since we don’t have a fenced-in yard, and I take them out multiple times throughout the day for potty breaks and fresh air. When I need to leave the house, I crate the dogs for their safety and peace of mind. I want every pet staying with us to feel comfortable, cared for, and part of the family!
“Payton and her husband were awesome! Our dogs had such an incredible time with them, they almost didn’t want to leave. They provided updates regularly and lots of mental stimulation and walks for our pups. Can’t wait to use them again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Annie Hall
The perfect fit! Bianca and her family welcomed my pup in their beautiful home and treated her like she was their own. Their dog Maggie was the perfect playmate and I came home with one happy tired dog. It feels so good knowing when I travel Harper now has loving and fun place to go. Thank you so much Bianca ❤️

Lori is an amazing sitter! This was the first time that I left Charlie at someone else’s house, and I was very nervous. Lori quickly made me feel at ease. She touched base with me every day, and sent pictures. She was very attentive to my dogs’ needs and I can tell my Charlie girl was well cared for. Thanks so much, Lori! We will use you again.

This was Vesper and Naraa’s first overnight stay away from us, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! It was obvious from the start that they were in caring, capable hands. She treated them like they were her own, sent thoughtful photo updates throughout their stay, and made sure they felt right at home, even letting them sleep in bed with her. She has a securely fenced yard and a friendly dog that ours got along with wonderfully. Before pickup, she even took them for a walk so they came home happy, tired, and ready for a nap. Knowing they were so well cared for gave us real peace of mind. We will definitely be booking with her again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly treat their dogs like family.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Annie Hall home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Annie Hall.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Annie Hall sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
