About: I've been caring for pets my whole life, and have been a trusted sitter for family and friends for many years. I've also been a volunteer for the Humane Society since 2019, helping socialize and train some of the most challenging shelter dogs and cats. I have experience with large and xl dogs, senior animals, and puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. I grew up in a family that adopted all sorts of pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, horses, parakeets, and one very majestic iguana. While I don't currently have any pets since my last elderly fur baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I look forward to adopting again in the future from a rescue organization. About: Hi! I've been a dog owner since I was 7 years old. Since then, my love for animals has only grown stronger. Currently, I have a 3 year old Corgi named Jasper. I've learned a lot about dogs since adopting him and I'm always looking for new ways to keep him entertained. For example, making DIY puzzle games during mealtime, teaching him tricks (both useful and for fun), and taking him to new places. Jasper also tends to be anxious, so I have experience with putting in a great deal of work to make dogs comfortable. I also have experience looking after family members' dogs while they're away, including senior dogs. I’m currently fully available, but I’m in the process of starting a new job in mid-August. About: I currently work at a vet tech. I’m hoping to pursue veterinary school within the next couple years. I have a cat, dog, and tortoise of my own. I love taking care of animals. I’m willing to be flexible with rates too. I have experience sitting independently. New to Rover though! Im working part-time so I have plenty of flexibility with my schedule and will do my best to accommodate your fur babies. They’ll be treated like my own! I cannot provide boarding unfortunately as I don’t have a house. However, I am definitely willing to come sit and do overnight stays if you live a reasonable distance from me.

About: I’ve taken care of many pets! I have lots of experience with dogs, cats, rats, chinchillas, and birds. I’ve also taken care of guinea pigs, ferrets, and bunnies. I’ve pet sit for neighbors, coworkers, and friends. I’m currently not going in for work so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I may only leave for a couple hours at a time to run errands. I have a fenced yard and live near nature trails that provide an exciting walking environment for dogs. I have two dogs at home that are ok with other dogs.

My approach towards dogs is that they should receive ample stimulation through individualized exercise needs, walks that allow for lots of sniffing, and play time that allows your dog to feel like they accomplished a mission! I have experience administering medications, grooming, nail trimming, and training. REACTIVE DOGS - I helped train and raise my parents dog, a reactive rescue named Thunder. Through a gentle and persistent approach, I trained him to recall on demand, tamed biting tendencies, and blttust humans again. In his older years I have learned how to encourage eating following a medical event that left him with no appetite. - I also have experience pet sitting a high energy herding dog who needed minimum of a 2 hours of exercise per day an struggled with resource guarding. With patience, I helped train him to share toys and use his inside voice when he demands something! - When living in Cincinnati with my Shiba, we would spend 10+ hours per week at the local dog park. Here I learned de-escalation with aggressive and unpredictable dogs. SERVICE ANIMALS - In college I helped a friend train a Labrador from 8 weeks old to be a Leader Dog for the Blind. I learned how to crate train, potty train, stop at crosswalks, and train a dogs to be in public spaces through the use positive reinforcement and slow immersion of new situations. - My first (and current) dog is a Shiba Inu, a breed notorious for their stubbornness. I trained him like a service animal (although he is not registered) and he regularly goes to public spaces like crowded festivals, dog friendly music venues, and dog friendly businesses and if often complimented for his calm behavior and ability to sit patiently. I am a full time pet sitter who can do visits morning to evening Monday to Sunday. I travel often and only decline clients when I have a trip planned. I will tailor frequency and duration to your pets needs. I am able to provide all of the following: walks, play time, grooming, nail trims, administering medications, special requests, some training.
