“Karla is super flexible and really nice. She stayed at my house to watch my cat and dog. She sent pics every day so I knew they were all happy and comfortable. The house was neat and tidy and the pets were great. I’m totally hiring Karla again!!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we had two meet-and-greets before choosing Marissa to stay in our home. She was very friendly, relaxed, and asked thoughtful questions about our dog, which made us feel comfortable leaving both our home and pet in her care. While we were away, she sent daily updates with photos, which we really appreciated and helped us feel at ease. When we returned, the house was clean and it was clear our dog had been well cared for. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely hire Marissa again. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

About: I have experience with all types of temperaments and breeds in all phases of life. My approach towards dogs is that they should receive ample stimulation through individualized exercise needs, walks that allow for lots of sniffing, and play time that allows your dog to feel like they accomplished a mission! EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS: senior care, reactive dogs, fearful dogs, service animals, puppy training, grooming, nail trims, administering medications, general training PET SITTING EXPERIENCE - I have pet sit for many friends over the past few years. I have bonded closely with each of them and think of them each as my little friends! I am dedicated to providing timely potty breaks, ample and diverse stimulation, and exercise. I have experience administering medications, grooming, nail trimming, and training. REACTIVE DOGS - I helped train and raise my parents dog, a reactive rescue named Thunder. Through a gentle and persistent approach, I trained him to recall on demand, tamed biting tendencies, and blttust humans again. In his older years I have learned how to encourage eating following a medical event that left him with no appetite. - I also have experience pet sitting a high energy herding dog who needed minimum of a 2 hours of exercise per day an struggled with resource guarding. With patience, I helped train him to share toys and use his inside voice when he demands something! - When living in Cincinnati with my Shiba, we would spend 10+ hours per week at the local dog park. Here I learned de-escalation with aggressive and unpredictable dogs. SERVICE ANIMALS - In college I helped a friend train a Labrador from 8 weeks old to be a Leader Dog for the Blind. I learned how to crate train, potty train, stop at crosswalks, and train a dogs to be in public spaces through the use positive reinforcement and slow immersion of new situations. - My first (and current) dog is a Shiba Inu, a breed notorious for their stubbornness. I trained him like a service animal (although he is not registered) and he regularly goes to public spaces like crowded festivals, dog friendly music venues, and dog friendly businesses and if often complimented for his calm behavior and ability to sit patiently. I am a full time pet sitter who can do visits morning to evening Monday to Sunday. I travel often and only decline clients when I have a trip planned. I will tailor frequency and duration to your pets needs. I am able to provide all of the following: walks, play time, grooming, nail trims, administering medications, special requests, some training.
“Karlysse helped us out last minute over the holidays and took amazing care of our two dogs. We came home to a spotless house and two very happy pups. We would absolutely hire her again!”

“Milo was great! I will have him back again. He is good at daily communication and sending photos. When I got home my dog acted like I was never gone which is good because she has separation anxiety. I know she got a lot of love and attention from Milo.”

“Tara was great watching our 6 month old kittens. They are very shy with new people. She was patient and gained their trust, she really went the extra mile! Highly recommend! Thank you Tara!”

“Diandra was incredible! She was so communicative and so kind! She left our house in SPARKLING shape- I think it was cleaner when we got home than when we left! She swung with some annoyances too- our house lost power in 95 degree weather and I messed up our days off and asked literally the day before she was going to leave if she could spend an extra night. She was super easy going about both. I feel so lucky we found her and I will absolutely be booking with her again!”
“We had an excellent experience with our house/pet sitter, Gordon. I was nervous having a stranger in our home and with our pets, but from the start, he was great at communicating with me. That continued while we were away with daily texts and photos. It put our minds at ease knowing they were being taken care of so well. We came home to happy pets and a spotless house. He even went out of his way to schedule things around our dog who requires special attention and medication. Would definitely book again.”

“We will 100% use Jonathan and Kayleigh’s services again! They were able to help us out on short notice, and both our dog and cat loved them. Even after we got home, our dog even checked the driveway for their car a few times, which to us, speaks volumes as to how well they cared for him 10/10”

“We couldn't have asked for a better person to spend the week with our fur babies than Yareli! 😊 She sent us regular updates of their playtime, walks, and lots of cuddles. We came home to a house that was even cleaner than when we left it, a vase of fresh flowers, and the sweetest thank you card from her. We are so happy to have found such a wonderful, dependable person and hope to have her back in the future! ❤️”

“I’ve never used this app before and I’m so happy I went with Courtney. She sent me sweet pics and videos of my boys all weekend and took care of them like I would.”

“Denise was wonderful with my dogs. I have 3 small dogs who like to have company at home and that’s exactly what she provided. I was able to relax peacefully knowing my babies were safe and home, enjoying themselves. I got lots of updates throughout the weekend including videos and texts. She left the house exactly as she found it and had no issues! I will be inviting Denise back for my next trip!”

“Mariah was wonderful and so good with our two dogs! She made the time away very stress free and left our home cleaner than when she started her two right stay. Definitely would recommend her to watch anyone’s puppers. :)”

“Skye was fantastic with our puppy. We were especially impressed by how attentive and proactive Skye was — taking the time to learn her cues and routines, working with her on training, and even noticing things that helped us after we came home. Skye was incredibly organized, communicative, honest, and took initiative whenever something came up. We came home to a happy puppy who had actually made progress while we were gone. It was very clear that Skye put a lot of thought and effort into caring for her, and we would absolutely trust Skye with her again.”

“Brianna was very responsible. She took great care of Flora and our house while we were away. Sent updates and photos and let us know when there were any issues with her schedule. We would recommend Brianna and would book her again to dog and house sit for us. Allowed us to be away worry free.”

“Elle always takes such good care of our pooch Allie. This is the second time we’ve had her stay at our place and we always feel so comfortable and confident that Allie and our house are well taken care of. Can’t recommend Elle enough!”

About: I've been pet/house sitting for eight years now via word of mouth. All sizes of dogs, cats, and even bearded dragons. I believe part of why I can connect with animals well is getting to know each pet's personality and individual needs. I'm experienced in daily walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, basic medication if needed, and plenty of love/attention. I understand how important routines are to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I'm committed to that reliable and attentive care. I'm more than happy to update you with as many photos and messages as needed for your peace of mind. Lastly, in case of an emergency or even simply needing a resource, my sister works at a vet clinic I can always contact. I'm currently between jobs after moving and have an open calendar. I'm working on securing a part-time remote job that I can work around your pets needs with. Pets will be cared for in your home by not merely following instructions but also paying attention to detail, maintaining routine, and building trust with them. I'll make sure they have a safe environment, fresh water, and a clean/tidy space, making your time away from them as stress-free as possible. Exceptional pet care goes beyond meeting the bare minimum. I always emphasize caring for that pet's needs, so whether that's cuddles, playtime, long walks, or simple quiet companionship, I'm happy to match their personality/energy to create an enriching experience. Every owner, pet, and house is treated with respect and professionalism.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gregory
Rikki goes above and beyond. We did request her assistance in the following, she just saw that it would likely need to happen and volunteered to water the plants, getting the mail, feed the fish in the outdoor pond. We heartily said "yes"! We also offered that pictures/videos weren't necessary for us, but she kindly sent them anyway, and those photos were sent precisely within the timeframes when our dog's "schedule" required certain activities - photos of those activities happening. That extra eye for eye, caring detail offers so much reassurance when away. Our dog DayStar warmed up to Rikki's gentle presence immediately, and DayStar was equally calm when we arrived home late. Rikki accommodated our unexpected late arrival equally well. We highly recommended Rikki!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Gregory walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Gregory maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gregory choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gregory. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
