About: Because I’m here to take care of everybody else’s kids. My name is Amaya, I have been caring for all kinds of animals for about 10 years now. It all started when I moved in with my best friend in high school, her and her mother at that time had dogs, cats, rats, tortoises, a frog, etc. After graduating high school, she started working at an animal rescue near our house and quickly became a manager. Over the years I helped her care for all of the animals she brought home, and now that we no longer live together, I’ve found that I miss the excitement that caring for animals brings to life. I figured I could spend my extra time where it’s needed. I work full time and can watch pets over the weekend or go for walks before or after work. I work M-F my schedule varies for now I can care for pets in your home however is necessary, I am able to easily crate dogs or corral cats if needed. Very used to using gates and keeping doors shut if necessary as well

About: Mature and reliable dog sitter. My first job was Mrs McKensie’s Scotty dog when I was 12. I love dogs and decided to switch to Airbnb for doggies. You can trust me with your beloved canines. They will have their own couch! I have an older terrier mix and had a Weimaraner before him. My house has 1/2 acre of land with a lot of shade. Experienced with small and large dogs, accurate medication delivery, walking in dog groups or running free on the beach. I’ll follow your lead. I understand how important trust in a pet sitter is when you want to escape for a few days or weeks! It would be a privilege to welcome your pup in my home. I am a college professor who works remotely. So I will be home with your beloved doggie for MANY hours a day. I also love the beach and the many walking doggie walk areas in Westerly including Avondale, Moore Woods, Ninigret park and all local beaches when permitted. Again you KNOW your dog— I’ll follow your lead. I have a large shady yard, several play areas and A LOT of toys. My terrier mix is chill now that he is 12 and he loves other doggies! I am a MOTHER HawK and will never let your doggies outside alone or at night without a leash or my watchful eye to keep them safe.

About: Hello! My preferred names to go by is Max as you might see in my testimonials! I volunteered at an animal sanctuary that had chickens, geese, swans, goats, horses, & alpacas. I have experience in dog sitting & grooming every kind of breed. I took care of ferrets as well! Cute little guys running through tubes. I have a ton of experience cat sitting as well. I even briefly worked at a cat cafe! I also have 2 of my own. Litter boxes don’t scare me! I would never force any kind interactions based off of any of the animals behaviors, unless if they would want that! I’m all about approaching with love, patience, & playfulness! I currently have open availability. I don’t have proper space to board your animals at my house but I don’t mind traveling to yours at all. It all depends on the pet, but I would approach first with a hand sniff & see if they are okay with me petting them. I also think it’s a really great idea to do a practice trial run with the owner there at first so they can meet me & warm up to me!

About: With being surrounded by family and friends who are vet techs & pet clinic staff, I have had experience with dogs & cats for a very long time. I absolutely adore animals and have always wanted to make it my job to go above and beyond and give all the love to fur babies so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. This is professionally my third year. With being an active girl, I love to go on walks, hike, go for drives & listen to music. Pet sitting is very compatible with my personality and routine. When I visit a home or stay with a pet, I make sure to follow every instruction to keep the dog, or cat, in the same routine so the animal is as comfortable as possible. It is important to me to not disrupt the normal for an animal and keep them feeling loved and safe. ♥️

About: I have had a love for dogs and all other animals since I was a little kid. I am patient and loving with all animals and their needs. I only have classes in the mornings so have full availability with making sure they will be taken out as many times as needed and I will be there to feed them and be home with them a majority of the time Whenever I am meeting a new animal or pet, I always make sure to give them time to adjust to me and make them feel as comfortable as they can be.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, currently I have a black lab (Marlin), and four cats (Nug, Goose, Heron, and Plover). Three of my four cats were born in my neighborhood to a feral mom, who I worked with the animal shelter to trap, spay, and release after capturing her kittens and getting her healthy. Over the course of the year in 2020, I socialized and found homes for all of her babies and ended up with three!! This said, I have experience with cats along a range of trusting humans and have a bit of a soft spot for them in my heart. In addition, I have had a cat with diabetes and dogs on medication, so I am comfortable administering insulin to cats and finding sneaky way to prevent dogs from spitting out pills. Aside from my own pets, I’ve watched my family members’ dogs while they are away and have watched some dogs and cats outside of Rover! Having recently graduated from URI, I am living in my hometown of Westerly until my Masters program starts in the fall. I work part time at a coffee shop at the moment and my schedule is never the same in a week. However, I can be fairly flexible, just message me with your dates and needs and I’ll see what I can do!! Unfortunately I cannot care for your pets in my own home, as I have my own animals. However, in your house, I am happy to meet your pets where their needs are. I want them to be as comfortable as possible while getting love, care, and play while you may be away.
