“Becky is amazing! You can tell immediately she is an “animal person” by her energy, and I knew our girls would be in fantastic hands. I was extra nervous since one of our kitties has anxiety and is on medication - it’s a lot to ask of someone else to care for her - but Becky was completely unfazed and didn’t hesitate for a minute. I was totally reassured every minute we were gone and was actually able to enjoy my vacation knowing Becky had everything handled. Thank you, Becky!”

About: I’m a huge fan of both cats and dogs and will happily provide the walks, playtime, cuddles, belly rubs, and attention they demand. I love getting to know each pet’s personality—whether they’re a zoomie champion, a professional napper, or a little shy. My work is flexible and can host your pets for long term care. I would be honored to give your fur babies plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I work full-time, but only live two minutes away. I will be able to attend to your pets practically anytime of the day. I currently don't have any other pets staying with me so your babies will have my undivided attention. I live on a large private property with lots of land and space for needed outside time. I live in a small apartment but still plenty of space to comfortable moving.
“Margaret was on time, paid great attention to my two lovies, along with have me updates and pictures on how they were while away. She was also there the entire time she said she was, which meant a lot to me.”

“From the moment we met Diana my dog and kitten both responded to her with no hesitation- my dog loved her from first meeting. Our trip was extended and she was flexible with all the back and forth changes . Which we really appreciate and was reassuring! Not only did she add on last minute service, she also was ready to adjust payment ( credit) for scheduling changes . I am thankful to have found her, and will happily ask for continued help with Diana!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Danny was awesome! He was super communicative and always giving updates on when he’d be at our place. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience as we all know it’s hard to leave your fur babies! Thank you Danny!!”

About: I was a vet tech at the clinic I grew up by until recently, when I changed career fields. As a former vet tech, I am comfortable giving oral and injectable medications, working with special care animals (kidney disease/renal failure, epilepsy, diabetes, Cushings/Addisons, etc) and have wellbeing expertise beyond that of a typical sitter; if something goes wrong, I know protocol and when to get a vet involved. If you happen to have animals beyond just dogs and cats, I have large and small animal experience (livestock, especially horses, chickens, dogs of all sizes, cats, exotics) and pet sat for friends and family for years until I moved. I love animals and am looking forward to get to know yours! I'm working full time M-F but work nearby and have a lunch break in the middle of the day. I'm an active person and am happy to exercise your baby and give them lots of love. I care for your pets as if they were my own. I believe in not just doing what's necessary (feeding, potty breaks/cleaning the litter box) but also in giving mental and physical exercise. I'm happy to live on your pet or let them keep their distance according to their personality and needs.
“Jessica is amazing. She is truly very understanding and it’s such a great job with our dog. She sent us pictures of him as she was watching him. She is the best I would highly recommend Jessica.”

“Jennifer has been our cat caretaker for a couple of long trips and we couldn’t be happier with her support and care. Our two cats have differing personalities and she is able to get on their level giving them time to warm up and become friends. You’ll come back to a clean home and happy pets. We know our pets are in good hands when with Jennifer!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life! My family dog of 12 years passed away last year, but she definitely taught me a lot. I have experience with dogs of all ages, even senior dogs! I am a recent college graduate (Bucknell University Class of 2024!) taking a gap year before pursuing a master's degree. This means my schedule for the time being is incredibly flexible, and I can help accommodate to your scheduling needs! I happily follow all instructions left for your pet care, and am happy to send consistent updates about your pets well-being! Whatever makes you most comfortable in your home!

About: I've loved animals my whole life and grew up around animal shelters thanks to my sister, who is a veterinarian. I'm very active, play sports, and love walking, so I'm happy to keep up with dogs of any energy level. I treat every pet like they're my own and always focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. With school out for the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I'm available throughout the week and can easily accommodate your dog's routine and walking needs. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, extra exercise, or regular visits, I'm happy to work with your schedule. I believe great pet care goes beyond just the walk itself. I take the time to make sure each pet is safe, comfortable, hydrated, and ready for our outing. I pay attention to their individual needs, whether that's extra playtime, a slower pace, or lots of exercise. I also help keep their space clean and comfortable so both pets and owners can feel at ease knowing they're in good hands.
“Wow. I can’t say enough about the quality of care Brandon provided to our active dog Coco (who needed medicine administered and extra TLC during his visit) and our kitty Cora. His communication with us and the animals was wonderful, he updated us in real time, and everyone was in great shape when we arrived home. We’ll definitely be rebooking with Brandon!”

“Marta is fantastic! I could tell from the moment I met her that she would be very confident and responsible. We have a very nervous and shy senior cat on prescription food, pill and supplements for kidney disease, and he hid under the bed when she came twice a day and at one point stopped eating. She was very patient and diligent about messaging with me and following instructions for different foods and treats to get him to start eating again. The house looked very neat when we returned. We already booked her for our trip in September!”

About: I grew up in a big family with lots of pets including dogs, cats, rodents, and birds. I have been successful in self-taught basic training of dogs. I am a graduate student who plans to have pet care be a source of income that fits around my schedule. I have classes during the week and currently live on campus which is why I cannot provide care in my home. I have owned many pets in my life and have cared for different ages from puppies and kittens to seniors. I enjoy promoting enrichment activities and physical exercise.

About: I bring attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your specific creature and their specific personality. I've been pet parent to dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes to my current Sheepadoodle — there's no dog size or personality that's too much or too little, IMHO. And my experience extends well beyond dogs — cats, snakes, farm animals 🐐, and more. I also happen to share my home with a ball python named Fettuccine Alfredo 🐍, who is a distinguished, low-drama fellow. As a plant parent, I will watch after yours indoor jungles, outdoor gardens, that one fiddle leaf fig you're nervous about. If you need someone who will actually look at your monstera and not just splash water in its general direction, that's me. (My avocado tree, grown from a pit, is thriving. I'm not taking questions.) Housesitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, basic training — I've got you. And if you're going away and need the whole ecosystem looked after, pets, plants, and all, I'd love to meet you. Pet care fits naturally into the rhythm of my week. My mornings are consistently free, which works well for walks and drop-in visits, and I have flexibility on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for longer stays or housesitting. On days when I'm teaching in the afternoons and evenings, I'm still available in the mornings — and I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I'm never stretched too thin across clients. This isn't something I'm squeezing in around a packed schedule — it's something I've made genuine room for. When I'm in your home for drop-in visits or housesitting, I treat it with the same care and attention I'd give my own. That means following your routines exactly as you've set them, keeping things tidy, and making sure your pets are comfortable and unstressed in their own environment. I take detailed notes at meet-and-greets so nothing gets missed while you're away. On walks, I keep dogs leashed and attentive to their individual energy and needs — a reactive dog gets a very different walk than a social butterfly, and I know the difference. I bring over thirty years of animal experience to reading body language and behavior, so I'm not caught off guard by much. My own home includes a ball python and two cats, so I'm well practiced in managing a multi-species household safely and calmly. I don't offer boarding, which means your dog's visit to my home would only ever be for a meet-and-greet in a low-key, relaxed setting. In any situation that feels off — health, behavior, anything — I err on the side of contacting you immediately and getting to a vet if needed. You'll never be left guessing.
About: I've had dogs since I was 6 and have always been expected to care for them. Now that I'm away from home I miss my dogs and would love to help others take care of their fury friends! I'm currently young professional with hybrid schedule in office. I would not be able to be home all day for 3 days of the week (typically Tuesday - Thursday) but can care for them before and afterwards. On the other days, I can be home all day and care for them. I can take out your dog, feed them, or walk them around your neighborhood! I'm experienced in taking out dogs in fenced areas or on a leash and would love to cuddle with them as well!
About: Somers & Pleasantville For most of my life I have had either beloved cats or dogs. Marnie my 12 lb pomchi rescue, she is easy going and can sniff for hours, so we can walk for hours, or enjoy a dog park with your dog. Elderly is fine if they also can walk a fair distance. Animal advocate. I have a flexible schedule, mornings are best, early mornings too. Can take a long walk with my easy going dog. Happy to travel for gas recompenation. Will not be caring for dogs in my home at this time, unless very small/tiny and quiet. I can come to your house happy to travel if for a longer stay.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Chappaqua
Becky was wonderful with our two cats! We recently moved to the area, and our cats are still adjusting to their new home, so it was especially reassuring to know they were in such good hands. Becky made sure they were fed, refreshed their water, cleaned their bowls and feeding areas, and kept their litter boxes clean. She was reliable and communicative, and we really appreciated the regular updates and photos while we were away. We would absolutely book with Becky again and highly recommend her!

Jennifer saved our trip by accepting a last-minute booking to take care of our two rescues (a friendly dog and cat) - and took great care of both of them. We appreciate that she took the time to stay extra time with both of them during her visits. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we met Diana my dog and kitten both responded to her with no hesitation- my dog loved her from first meeting. Our trip was extended and she was flexible with all the back and forth changes . Which we really appreciate and was reassuring! Not only did she add on last minute service, she also was ready to adjust payment ( credit) for scheduling changes . I am thankful to have found her, and will happily ask for continued help with Diana!

As of August 2026, there are 8,870 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Chappaqua. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chappaqua. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
