“As a first-time user of Rover's boarding feature, I was admittedly nervous to be dropping off my beagle Stanley for a four night stay with Doreen. With that being said, Doreen's positive reviews from past Rover users were comforting and certainly held true with our experience. When dropping off Stanley, Doreen made a note of Stan's eating amounts and times. She had another pup there who became a friend to Stanley during his stay. My favorite part of the stay was getting daily photo updates on how Stanley was doing while we were away. We will definitely use Doreen again to watch our pup!”

About: When I was ten, I raised my first seeing eye dog and at the age of twelve he completed his training with me and had his final evaluation, where he graduated top in his class. Through the countless Guiding Eyes for the Blind dogs I’ve trained since, friend’s and family’s dogs, and my own, the lessons I learned from my first dog have always stuck with me; teaching a dog confidence and obedience but most importantly teaching them to have those traits while being a companion. I work from home so my availability is pretty flexible to the dogs that I’m taking care of at the time. I find it’s best for both of us if I adapt to their needs. I prefer to have dogs crate trained, especially when I’m not home although it is not necessary. I usually reward by giving them praise and letting them know they did the right thing instead of treats.
