“Tara did a great job stopping by to hang out with our dogs one night when we had to work late! Tara stayed with the dogs for an hour. They played fetch in the backyard, ate their dinner, and had some chill time on the couch. I absolutely trust Tara when giving her care instructions, and she made a late night at work easier with her updates and communicate. Thanks, Tara!”

“I reached out to Jalynn with less than 24 hours notice and she was able to drop in visit my puppy the next day. She is responsive and communicated efficiently upon arrival and departure.”

“Hannah is absolutely amazing! She took exceptional care of my two dogs, Max and Romeo, and they both adored her from the moment she walked in. Her kindness and warmth were immediately evident, and I could see how comfortable my dogs felt around her. Hannah went above and beyond to ensure they were happy, and received plenty of attention and playtime. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals, and her gentle approach made such a positive impact. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and responsible pet sitter. Highly recommend Hannah for anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like family!”

About: Hello there! I am a 34 year old teacher who provides animal care all year long, part time during the year and full time during the summer 😊 I have pets of my own, a dog and cat, as well as experience volunteering at animal shelters. I was previously an assistant manager at a doggy day care where I did everything from basic care and cleaning of the facilities as well as bathing and drying dogs, feeding, administering medications, enrichment play, walks and of course…cuddles! I care for my own pets, 1 dog and 1 cat everyday by feeding, providing love and treats as well as walks and enrichment activities. For clients, it is summer time which means my schedule is very flexible to help you out as best as I can! I treat every animal with love and it is their space so they choose the pace! I make sure to let them approach me and read their body language for what they are comfortable with.

About: I've loved animals my whole life and grew up around animal shelters thanks to my sister, who is a veterinarian. I'm very active, play sports, and love walking, so I'm happy to keep up with dogs of any energy level. I treat every pet like they're my own and always focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. With school out for the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I'm available throughout the week and can easily accommodate your dog's routine and walking needs. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, extra exercise, or regular visits, I'm happy to work with your schedule. I believe great pet care goes beyond just the walk itself. I take the time to make sure each pet is safe, comfortable, hydrated, and ready for our outing. I pay attention to their individual needs, whether that's extra playtime, a slower pace, or lots of exercise. I also help keep their space clean and comfortable so both pets and owners can feel at ease knowing they're in good hands.

About: My family has had big dogs our entire lives so I learned to take care of them from a young age. I love all kinds of animals! I work from home with a very flexible schedule so I can generally make most times work :) Happy to work around any schedule if needed! It’s definitely a priority to keep your dogs safe during a walk or a visit - my full focus and attention is on them 100% of the time!
About: I have had years of experience with other peoples pets, and primarily my own. I have taken care of my own Dogs, cats, snakes, hamsters, horses, and fish over the years. I’ve grown up with puppies, and currently have my own 2 kittens, and also have had elderly dogs, cats, and horses before. I have always adored animals, and have always been an important part in my life so I would love to make more furry friends with your pets:) I currently am enrolled in school at The University of New Hampshire. My schedule is super open this semester since I took summer classes so my work load would be easier. In home care : I would make sure to send client photos if l was boarding their pet at my apartment, and make sure I follow the exact instructions given. When other people watch my pets , there’s always the anxiety of making sure they are treated well, and taken care of. Clients home: if I took care of the clients pets, I would make sure that I followed all the rules given and more. I understand it can be uncomfortable for a stranger to be in your house, so trust and reassurance everything is safe it’s important as a pet and home owner

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Chappaqua
Jennifer saved our trip by accepting a last-minute booking to take care of our two rescues (a friendly dog and cat) - and took great care of both of them. We appreciate that she took the time to stay extra time with both of them during her visits. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we met Diana my dog and kitten both responded to her with no hesitation- my dog loved her from first meeting. Our trip was extended and she was flexible with all the back and forth changes . Which we really appreciate and was reassuring! Not only did she add on last minute service, she also was ready to adjust payment ( credit) for scheduling changes . I am thankful to have found her, and will happily ask for continued help with Diana!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chappaqua choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Chappaqua with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
