“We chose Brittney being that she is local, and also had some great reviews! I have no problem leaving another 5 star review. From our first “meet and greet” Brittney has been awesome! Very easy to work with, easy going and accommodating. Has a great work ethic and takes great care of our pup Leia, (Princess) from feeding, to walking and just spending time with her socializing.”

About: Through pet and house sitting, I’ve discovered how much I love caring for animals in their own homes—learning their personalities, keeping their familiar routines, and helping them feel comfortable while their people are away. I have 10 reviews on TrustedHousesitters and have been welcomed back by several families for multiple stays, with more repeat sits already booked for next year. My stays have ranged from short visits to several months. Owners consistently mention my attentive care, regular updates and photos, and the peace of mind they feel knowing their pets and home are in good hands. I’ve cared for puppies, energetic dogs, senior dogs, cats, and households with multiple pets. I follow feeding and medication instructions closely and adapt to each animal’s needs, whether that means walks and playtime or a gentler pace and quiet companionship. I’m also a proud dog grandma to my daughter’s French bulldog, Capri! I work remotely as a parent coach, which gives me flexibility to plan around your pet’s routine. Whether I’m stopping in or staying overnight, I bring patience, affection, and attention to the little things that matter to your pet—and to you. I work remotely as a parent coach, so I have flexibility to fit pet care into my day. I plan around the routines we agree on, including meals, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and company. During overnight sits, I enjoy settling in with your pets and keeping their days familiar. Quiet time with a cat nearby or a dog curled up beside me is one of my favorite parts of working from home! For drop-in visits, we’ll arrange times that fit your pet’s needs. I do have scheduled client sessions and occasional commitments, so we’ll talk through how long your pets are comfortable being alone and make sure my availability is a good fit before booking. I care for pets in your home, where they have their familiar surroundings, favorite spots, and everyday routines. Before a booking, I like to learn about their personalities, feeding schedules, medication needs, and any habits or concerns—especially things like door-dashing, hiding places, or worries around other animals. I follow your care instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, and use a leash on walks unless we’re in your securely enclosed yard. We’ll go over your vet’s information and emergency contacts so I know who to reach if something comes up. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, and I’ll let you know if I notice a change in your pet’s behavior, appetite, or comfort. I respect your home and privacy, keep pet areas and litter boxes clean, and tidy up after myself. Several families have welcomed me back for repeat stays. I take that trust seriously and want you to feel comfortable asking questions or sharing the little details that help me care for your pets the way you would.
About: We own a local family pet care business; and we believe every pet deserves to be treated like family. With years of hands-on experience, advanced training, and a lifelong passion for animals, we provide reliable, loving care for pets of all kinds. I’ve lived with animals my whole life—dogs, cats, birds, and small pets—so creating a safe, comforting space for them comes naturally. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked with pets of all ages and needs, from energetic puppies to seniors and special-needs animals who require extra patience and understanding. I’m trained in Pet First Aid and always focus on maintaining steady routines and low-stress care. Whether your pet needs playtime, calm companionship, medication reminders, or just someone gentle they can trust, I’m here to make them feel at home while you’re away. My family also loves giving back to the community—we regularly donate to local shelters to help support animals in need. Caring for pets isn’t just something I do; it’s a part of who I am. My schedule is flexible and I’m available most days of the week. This allows me to give your pets the time and attention they deserve — and makes it easier for you to book care that fits their routine. I always supervise outdoor time to ensure they’re safe and happy. I make sure the environment is clean and tidy. My goal is to ensure they feel at home while their owners are away, with a mix of outdoor fun, indoor comfort, and plenty of love.
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, including a Black Lab, Miniature Pinscher, Rottweiler, and German Shepherd. Being around such different breeds has taught me that every dog has their own personality, energy level, quirks, and way of showing you what they need. I also have hands-on experience caring for dogs in my family. I regularly help care for my sister’s two dogs—a 1-year-old Corgi and a 13-year-old English Bulldog. Having both a young, energetic dog and a senior dog has given me an appreciation for how different their needs can be. One may want to play, explore, and keep you moving, while the other may need a slower pace, extra patience, comfort, and a little more attention. I also frequently care for a French Bulldog in my family when his dad needs someone he trusts to look after him. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog individually and learning their routines, personalities, favorite activities, and little quirks. I also have experience caring for Ozzie, my mom’s boyfriend’s 7-year-old Whoodle. Spending time with Ozzie has given me even more experience caring for an adult dog with his own personality, routines, and preferences. I enjoy taking the time to learn what makes each dog comfortable and happy rather than assuming every dog needs the same type of care. And of course, I can’t forget Mochi, my boyfriend’s approximately 5-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix. Mochi is another special part of my life and has given me even more experience getting to know a dog’s individual personality, routines, habits, and quirks. Caring for him has also taught me that sometimes the smallest dogs have the biggest personalities! What makes pet care special to me is that I don't look at it as simply a job or a checklist of feeding, walking, and letting a pet outside. Your pets are family, and I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you're away. I’m naturally very patient, attentive, and nurturing with animals. I pay attention to the little things—whether a dog needs some extra exercise, some quiet time, reassurance in a new situation, or simply someone to sit beside them and give them some love. I’m also comfortable giving pets the time and space they need to warm up to me rather than expecting them to immediately feel comfortable. Whether your pup is a playful youngster, a laid-back senior, or somewhere in between, I’ll take the time to understand what makes them happy and make their care feel as close to home as possible. And because I’m a lifelong animal lover, I genuinely believe that four little paws come with a whole lot of love—and deserve a whole lot right back. My schedule is currently flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week, including weekends when available. I’m happy to work with each pet’s individual routine and make sure they receive the attention, exercise, companionship, and care they need. I communicate openly with pet parents and do my best to be dependable and flexible with scheduling. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or visiting for a walk or drop-in, I treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would want for my own. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications if applicable, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I’m patient with pets who may be shy or take some time to warm up to someone new, and I pay close attention to their behavior so I can recognize when something seems different. I’m also very mindful about doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, and keeping pets safely supervised. I want you to feel confident knowing that while you’re away, your pet is receiving loving, attentive care and your home is being treated respectfully. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and comfortable—and for you to have peace of mind while you’re away.

“David did a great job caring for Audrey, my indoor/outdoor cat, keeping to a consistent routine, spending time with Audrey who does not easily warm up to new people but definitely trusted David. It was a comfort knowing someone would be checking on Audrey every morning. I had several deliveries and David brought the packages inside for me. I appreciated the daily photos of Audrey as well.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Changewater
It was our first time going away since we adopted our cat. We were nervous and hesitant about leaving her while we were gone. Our timid cat warmed up to Cecilia right away and this made us feel so much better! Cecilia was attentive and followed our cat's routine. She did an amazing job with Lola and would we not hesitate having Cecilia watch our cat again.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
