“When we met Andrew at his house, he gave us a tour which included his yard. We picked up our 23lb 12 yr old poodle mix a few hours later. Oogie was happy and fell asleep when we returned home. This is the first time we used Rover’s app & dog sitting services. We are happy with the overall experience.”

“150% recommend Brian for your pup! I was so nervous about last minute needing to find a daycare option for my senior beagle who is very much a homebody and can be nervous in new situations, but Brian took so much extra care and attention to make sure Mason was more than comfortable in the new environment and I knew within minutes I couldn’t have chosen a better sitter. Thank you Brian for the extra love you gave our to our very important family member and communicating every step of the way. You really put our minds at ease dropping Mason off there. I’ll be calling you soon for the next stay!”

“Leslie has been amazing! I have been using her for daycare when I have long work days. Her grandson snuggles my boys and Leslie is there with them the entire time, letting them out into the yard for exercise. I can't tell you how relieved I feel knowing that they're not at home alone. Leslie has given me such great peace of mind.”

“Miko had a great time at Shireen’s! We did a meet and greet a few days before to help him warm up a bit, and that was helpful for my nervous pup. If we ever need a sitter again, we will definitely be booking with Shireen!”

About: I have never had a dog-less house in my 28 years living! My own fur baby crossed the rainbow bridge not long ago, so I’m looking to pass on the love I gave (still give) her to any and all pups! I’m a stay-at-home wife with no children and no pets currently. My husband is in the Air Force so I’m looking to find ways to spend my time during the days. My schedule is 100% open! I have a fenced backyard and live in a nice quiet neighborhood that is PERFECT for walks. I am willing to make many accommodations as needed, and am really open to whatever is needed.
About: I have 11 years of experience caring for pets of all sizes and temperaments. My priority is maintaining your dog's routine to minimize stress, offering regular walks, medication administration if needed, and plenty of attention. I have experience with both senior dogs that need calm environments and high-energy puppies. In my home, your pet won't just be a guest; they’ll be part of the family. I work from home, which allows me to provide constant companionship and supervision for your pet. My schedule is very flexible, so I can easily adapt to your dog’s specific needs for walks, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the entire day and week. I provide a safe and loving environment where your pet is always supervised. My home is fully pet-proofed, and I ensure all doors and gates are kept secure. I focus on clear communication with owners and follow all safety instructions strictly. Whether at my home or yours, I maintain a clean space and keep a close eye on your pet's well-being and happiness.
“Sabrina watched our baby for daycare for 3 days. Our pup quickly seemed to warm up to her. She kept us updated during the day and graciously brought her to us at the end of the day. Sabrina seemed super friendly and she treated our pup with a lot of care, even in the face of our dog’s first heat cycle. We appreciate her and the care she provided.”

“My puppy had a great time. He played and played, slept very well when he came home. Will definitely leave him with Sandra and his new best buddy Coco next time we're in town.”

“What a lovely, caring family. Janica and her son welcomed our recent rescue puppy with open arms, and reassured us she would be fine with them and their dog - and she was right! We got picture updates even though our dog was only with them a few hours. ...we just wish we had someone we could trust living closer to us on the Central Coast.”

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life ever since i can remember. I love all animals, however dogs have a special place in my heart. I am Deaf, and dogs seem to be very comfortable and protective with me as if they know about my deafness. I have taught my dogs basic tricks using sign language such as "sit, stay, friend (or paw shake), lay down". I absolutely love cuddling with my dogs and watching them be silly. I currently assist my older sister with baby sitting my autistic niece part time. I am available from 11am-2:00pm however if you need anything in the evenings, I am open to that as well, just feel free to ask! :) I always approach new dogs with calm and soft energy and will generally allow them to come to me and sniff. I am very patient to those who may feel anxious. I know how to read a dogs body language. I will always communicate with you about your pets needs.
“My dog spent the day at Lupe’s today and left happy. Lupe had great hospitality. She gave me a little tour of where my dog would be spending his time and asked questions about his needs/personality when I dropped him off. The indoor area is very specious and has a gate to separate some dogs from others based on temperament. My dog was showing signs of possessiveness over his toy so she was proactive about giving him his own space away from the other dogs. She said when the dogs weren’t outside playing he chose to spend his time right next to her while she worked. Lupe sent pictures and gave a recap of how he played well outside with other dogs and was fed separately.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Chadbourne is $50

We had a great experience with Brian. I appreciated the updates and photos which gave me peace of mind throughout the day .Our 24 lbs dog acclimated well to Brian’s calm demeanor and his three smaller dogs. We will definitely be using Brian’s services again.

Not only did Andrew offer a comprehensive meet and greet weeks before daycare services, he had a play space that accommodated all of my concerns including heat/dehydration and room to himself. When Andrew’s Doberman first met Archie, he was protective of me but Andrew knew how to intervene and assured me he knew exactly what he was doing. He also sent me photo updates throughout the day which I really appreciated! Book this guy!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 2,007 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Chadbourne. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Chadbourne commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,007 sitters in Chadbourne, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
