“Brian is absolutely amazing with dogs. He understands them and cares for them like his own. Peaches had a great time in his house. We were a bit skeptical since we’ve never left her anywhere overnight but Brian made everything so easily and made us feel so comfortable leaving her there for a few days. Thank you so much! We will definitely be using Rover and Brian’s services again.”

“Very experienced with dogs of all sizes and dispositions - he made Brieze comfortable from the beginning and she had so much fun there she didn’t want to leave! Very flexible, accommodating, and sent lots of updates and pictures. Will definitely be back!”

“Amazing!!! This was our first experience and Maria was so great and communicated the whole time. She sent pictures and even sent us home with some doggy art!!! Saint barely wanted to leave, which is a great feeling to have when you’re picking up your loved pup. We will definitely be back and refer others to her in specific!!! If there were 100 stars that would be our rating!!!”

“We had such a great first experience with Sara! She was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable leaving Fifi in her care. I really appreciated the updates and photos throughout the day, as well as how attentive she was to Fifi and her individual needs. It was wonderful to hear that she had fun with Sara’s family, including her sweet dog Shadow, and was getting lots of attention and love throughout the day. Fifi was happy and comfortable when I picked her up, which means everything to me. I would absolutely feel good about leaving her with Sara again and I look forward to Fifi’s future stays with her!”

“We had Shanna and her husband watch our yorkie for the day and it was great! She texted updates throughout the day and our dog came back very happy and it made it a stress free day for us humans!!”

“Sandra was great, we really liked how she was very responsive, on time and on top of that she send me updates of our little Lui during his stay at her home. We highly recommend her, thank you for taking care of our little Lui!”

“Sylvia was amazing! My poor pooch Blanca had just gotten an Elizabethan collar for the first time because of a hot spot on her cheek. She was extra scared during her daycare with Sylvia and Sylvia made sure to give her plenty of space during her stay. Sylvia was just so kind and understanding the whole time! I so appreciated her warmth and hope she’ll accept Blanca for a future stay. Thanks Sylvia!”

About: Growing up with dogs of all types gave me a love for animals and taught me how to care for them properly. Their loyalty and playful nature showed me the importance of patience, love, and having fun while taking care of them. I’m self-employed, which gives me the flexibility to care for your dog with personalized attention, love, and consistency throughout the day. I ensure their needs are met, from meals and walks to playtime and companionship. I treat every pet in my care as part of my family. In my home, I provide fresh water, nutritious meals, daily walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention to keep them happy and healthy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications, and any special needs. I make sure their space stays clean and secure. My goal is always to ensure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away.
About: I have grown up with animals my whole life ever since i can remember. I love all animals, however dogs have a special place in my heart. I am Deaf, and dogs seem to be very comfortable and protective with me as if they know about my deafness. I have taught my dogs basic tricks using sign language such as "sit, stay, friend (or paw shake), lay down". I absolutely love cuddling with my dogs and watching them be silly. I currently assist my older sister with baby sitting my autistic niece part time. I am available from 11am-2:00pm however if you need anything in the evenings, I am open to that as well, just feel free to ask! :) I always approach new dogs with calm and soft energy and will generally allow them to come to me and sniff. I am very patient to those who may feel anxious. I know how to read a dogs body language. I will always communicate with you about your pets needs.
“I wish I could give Linda 10 stars! My first time ever leaving my pup with a sitter. We are out of state or I would hire her all the time. My pup is an old soul rescue! Linda sent pictures and Roshi’s face was so relaxed! When I picked him up he was relaxed! He didn’t cry like I had just abandoned him. I felt at ease and totally comfortable leaving him with Linda! She is a dog whisperer and I can’t honestly thank this lovely person enough! What an amazing experience! You should hire her you and your fur baby won’t be sorry!”

“Bailey gets so excited when we pull up to Giezell’s house! He runs to the door and runs right in - so I know he’s happy going to doggie day care. I think Bailey especially likes Giezell’s little girl too. We appreciate all the pictures and the video is especially adorable. We appreciate all the great care and positive vibes with Giezell. Highly recommend! 💕”

“Nadine is a fantastic dog sitter. My little one lets me know if she wants to return to a sitter or not, and she definitely enjoys her time with Nadine! Nadine provides a lot of toys, and her own dogs play with mine, so my little one comes back home fully satisfied and ready to rest. No question we’ll be calling Nadine for more dog sitting days in the near future.”

“Christina was amazing and took great care of our pups while we were at the park. She accepted our last-minute booking, kept us updated, and made everything easy. We felt completely comfortable leaving our dogs with her. Highly recommend.”

Brian was absolutely amazing with Joy! From the start, he was friendly, professional, and communicative. He kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious that Joy was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Brian treated him like one of his own, and we could tell he received plenty of attention, love, and care. We picked up a happy, relaxed pup, and that's the best feeling as pet parents. We highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy Rover sitter. We'll definitely be booking with him again!

Leslie has been amazing! I have been using her for daycare when I have long work days. Her grandson snuggles my boys and Leslie is there with them the entire time, letting them out into the yard for exercise. I can't tell you how relieved I feel knowing that they're not at home alone. Leslie has given me such great peace of mind.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Suval commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,031 sitters in Suval, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
