Pet care experience
Dogs speak to those who listen.
I have been taking care of dogs since my early years out on my families farm, along with many other animals of all shapes and sizes. Years later when I finally got a puppy of my own, it was one of the best days. It was a little ball of white hair, a Pomeranian, Coco. I have loved every moment of it, from training him how to sit, to even the potty training, we are still working on that. He doesn’t quite enjoy baths but I try to make it as enjoyable as possible, I figured out he enjoys treats while bathing. He also love longs walk through our neighborhood, all the way to one of the 3 park near our house.

Kohna had a great time with the other pets and was well taken care of!

Sandra was great, we really liked how she was very responsive, on time and on top of that she send me updates of our little Lui during his stay at her home. We highly recommend her, thank you for taking care of our little Lui!

I always appreciate Sandra's flexibility and love and care for my baby, Cloud.

Sandra was great! She was super understanding and flexible when I had to adjust pickup and drop-off times, which made things so much easier. She kept me updated regularly and sent cute pictures, which really helped me feel at ease while I was away. My dogs were clearly happy and well taken care of. I’d book with her again!

Intially, I was able to meet with Sandra at a dog park to do a meet and greet. We met at a local dog park. She brought her dog along to meet with my 2 dogs. However, she did not engage much with my two yorkies. Which I thought was odd. But I was pressed for time to find a boarder before I went out of town. So I took a chance and selected Sandra, based on her other client reviews on the website. On the day of taking my dogs to her, I let her know I'd be at her house between 7-7:30pm. However, when I was on my way to her house, set to arrive around 7:08pm, she responded saying she was at the store and if I could come at 7:30pm instead. I was a bit taken back, because she agreed earlier that I could come between 7-7:30pm. So I had to turn around and go back home until she returned to her house. Upon dropping Bella and Nola off, she met me at her front door, took the dogs while I brought the rest of their things from the car. She did not invite me in to see where the dogs would be kept. I told her I could set up their pin, so she'd know how to do it. She quickly said she would take care of it. So I hestiantly gave her the girls, because I had a flight to caught. While I was out of town, I messaged her to see how the girls were doing. There was very little communication from her. She would send one picture a day, with very little if any dialog. It was very disconcerting. Because I really didn't know what was going on with my dogs, and there wasn't much I could do about it since I was in another state. She mentioned they liked being outside. I let her know while they like being outside, they are not outside dogs and to only let them be outside for short periods of time. She did not respond. Upon picking them up, I noticed both dogs were filthy, and covered with dead grass and foxtails. Once we got home, I had to give them both baths immediately, because they couldn't stop scratching. Not a great way to come back from out of town, to have to give my dogs full baths. The only saving grace was that their reusable pee pads were washed and neatly folded back in the bag I had them in. Hence me giving her two stars instead of one. This was not the experience I was hoping for. Especially when you have to leave your pets in a strangers hands and they don't make you feel completely comfortable about the entire experience. I did not feel comfortable and it was a horrible feeling to have being so far away and unable to do anything about it. So if you pick Sandra, please ensure you see the area she will keep your pet and get a good understanding of how she will communicate with you and care for your pets while they're in her car. Something I've always been able to do with other Rover.com caregivers. But Sandra didn't really allow for that, which was my mistake. I assumed it would be fine. Until it wasn't. Please don't make that same assumption.

I have a fenced back yard with a lot of room for your dog to run around and have fun with my puppy. There are a few trees, that also provide shaded areas.
