“Vanessa was fantastic and professional when she came to our house to walk our dog Roxy. She was prompt, able to calmly interact with our special needs dog and provided multiple pictures and updates during her one hour stay! We will be using her as a regular sitter from now on!”

About: I have been taking care of and pet sitting animals, whether it be my own, my family’s or friends basically my whole life. More recently, I have been involved with The Seeing Eye since 2018, as a puppy sitter as well as a volunteer Puppy Raiser, and I have been bathing and grooming dogs professionally since early 2021, working with little puppies for their first grooms all the way up to senior dogs who need a little more love and patience during the grooming process. I have several years of experience working with puppies on basic obedience, and potty training. In addition, I have a 6 year old german shepherd who I have raised and trained myself who I love with my whole heart. I currently work 5 days a week as a groomer, however my schedule can be flexible. I am available most nights after 6 pm and all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do not pet sit in my own home, as I live in a small apartment. However, I would be more than happy to stay over a clients home if needed!
“Megan was fantastic with our two cats during our holiday. Reliable, caring, and great with communication. We really appreciated the updates and felt confident our cats were in good hands. Highly recommended!”

“Mark was just fantastic looking after my boys: communicative, conscientious, and just a true animal lover. He really took the time to get my cats to warm up to him, and just had such a mellow demeanor. Highly recommend him (and will use his services again if you don’t snag him first!).”

About: I have loved animals since a very young age. I have been blessed to have been the fur mom to cats, hamsters, rabbits and I am now a devoted mom to Pablo, my 3 year old chihuahua mix. Having the opportunity to help look after your precious fur babies would be an absolute honor. My promise is to treat them with the same love, care and respect that I give to my own. I am currently taking a break from working so available weekdays and weekends. I am an early riser so happy to do 6am feeds or walks if need be. My philosophy with my own pets is to meet them where they are and respect their boundaries. If they do not like to be picked up or held, I happily respect their wishes. However I am also able to say “no” to cheeky behaviour :) I am happy to accommodate any special requirements such as medicines and special play times.
“Yifei is an incredible sitter! She is proactive, attentive, and present with Mr. Scout. She leaves plenty of pictures and videos making me feel comfortable knowing Mr. Scout is getting the best care and attention during my time away. I would absolutely recommend Yifei and will be looking to book with her in the future.”

“Mike immediately was one of Freddy’s favorite humans. He had a natural positive energy when he met Freddy for the first time and it’s still like that. He’s communicative and shows up on time. It’s great to have someone reliable to take care of our furry family member while we’re working.”

About: We share our home with a sweet 3-year-old Old English Sheepdog, who is friendly, playful, and great with other dogs. She enjoys the company of all the pups that become family while they’re here. We look forward to welcoming yours, too. 🐾 Pet care fits easily into my routine since I primarily work from home, with occasional site visits . We take daily walks and get plenty pets and playtime! While I don’t have a fenced yard, dogs are always supervised and taken out on leashed walks. I recommend bringing your dog’s toys, bed and/or crate to help them feel secure, comfortable, and at home in a familiar environment.
About: I have been caring for pets for my whole life. Not only have I cared for my own dog, I have also been trusted with my friends, families, and neighbors pets. I will value your pets safety, and comfort in all situations. I’m a college student, so I have plenty of free time throughout the week to care for your pets! My schedule is pretty flexible, especially in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. I’ll always make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and getting lots of attention. I’ll follow whatever routine you normally have for them and make sure they feel comfortable while you’re away.
“Jordyn is great with our cat and dog! Jordyn has been helping out with our dog for the past couple of months and was eager to help with our cat while we were traveling as well. She is always communicative and kind!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was younger. I have had multiple dogs! I would love to include your fur baby in on the fun! I’ve also worked at 2 dog daycare/ boarding facilities!!! I’m visiting my hometown in Rockaway, New Jersey, until the beginning of October. I’m available to watch your furry friend at any time. Your fur baby will have a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while staying with me. I do have two tenants who live downstairs, and we share the backyard. The pups are welcome to enjoy the backyard, but they will always be supervised while outside. I’m also happy to take your fur baby on walks for exercise and potty breaks, and of course there will be plenty of cuddle time, playtime, and attention throughout their stay. About: Hi! My name is Danielle and I am the biggest dog lover you’ll ever meet! I have 1 little guy of my own. He stole my heart the moment I adopted him. I work from home full time so I love being able to spend it doing what I love. I walk some of the neighborhood dogs but really want to start expanding! I’ve always grown up around dogs. They fill my life up with so much joy. Let me know if you’d like to meet to discuss further! I have the privilege of working from home full time so pet care fits into my schedule very easily! All the dogs I’ve taken care of love me just being in their presence while their owner is away. It’s comforting to them Since I work from home, I can spend a ton of time with your dog! Unfortunately, I can’t have any dogs in my home because my rescue is fearful. To protect my dog and yours, I would have to care for your dog in your own home

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Knolls
Katy is excellent with our 2 year old Aussie. She is on time and flexible. She helped me out with our dog when my husband was in the hospital and I will be forever grateful for her care and concern during that difficult time. It brought me peace knowing that our dog was being well cared for when we could not be there to do it. Thanks Katy!

Vanessa was fantastic and professional when she came to our house to walk our dog Roxy. She was prompt, able to calmly interact with our special needs dog and provided multiple pictures and updates during her one hour stay! We will be using her as a regular sitter from now on!

Kaylee has watched over our pup Louie a couple of times now and we couldn’t be happier. She is clearly a pet lover and treats our baby as if he was her own. She sends updates and pictures, ensures that any concerns are addressed, and keeps our house as neat as she found it. We would highly recommend Kaylee for anyone in need of a caring and responsible pet sitter!

I highly recommend Emily! She was able to check in on Ellie and JimBob on very short notice, which I appreciated so much. Ellie is elderly and can be difficult to care for, but Emily handled everything with patience, compassion, and genuine love for animals. She kept me informed, made sure the dogs were comfortable, and gave Ellie the gentle care she needs. I truly felt at ease knowing they were in her hands. I’ll definitely booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
