Alyssa is AWESOME! When our jobs asked us to start coming back to the office, Alyssa helped give Hero a little bit of excitement in the middle of his day. She was on time, gave Hero lots of love, and helped give us peace of mind while we were away. She also always sent loads of pictures, which we always appreciated. We would have gladly kept using Alyssa's services if we hadn't moved. 1000% recommend.

About: Hi I’m Janie!! I'm 19 & I absolutely love animals. For years I’ve been trusted by friends, family, and neighbors to care for their pets—whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays—and I love giving each dog the attention they deserve. I make sure every furry friend feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I work 2 part-time jobs, typically in the evening 5-6 days a week. Hi I’m Lauren, i haven lots of experience with different types of animals and I have a flexible schedule and I would love to book with you. I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life and for clients, a few years now. I grew up taking care a lot of family pets as well as cousins & neighbors pets. I have a 10 year old golden retriever that I’ve been taking care of since she was a puppy, and I’m happy to announce I have just recently adopted a stray kitten! I have foster experience with puppies and I also have experience house sitting for 7-14 days while caring for multiple dogs/pets. Will remove ticks from dogs and protect dogs from coyotes👍🏻🦮:) The way I typically do things is if you choose me for a meet & greet is I will come over a few weeks before the stay, introduce myself, let the pets check me out, and go over your pets care & routine. Then, a day or so before you leave I’ll come by and to pick up your key and if there’s any other questions or concerns we can address those then. Willing to change my schedule to be able to work with more cats! I try to accommodate for all clients Updated 10/15 overnight unavailable: Nov 5th - Nov 19th + December 1st -7th. I just moved into my first apartment this year so all the help I can get is very appreciated ☻ I follow instructions and try to make your pet happy while respecting your personal space and property. I’m used to being around dogs with unique needs and accommodating to the best of my ability.

About: My boyfriend, Joe, and I both have huge hearts for animals and enjoy taking on Rover jobs together! Being in our mid 20s, we have plenty of free time and we both have extremely flexible work schedules; this enable us to give the attention and time that your pets deserve! About Haley: My love for animals started from a young age; I love pets of all shapes, sizes, and breeds! I was raised with 2 cats, a Golden Retriever, 2 Bull Terrier Mixes, and a Miniature Pinscher. I currently have 2 Chihuahuas and I’m hoping to add a Corgi and/or Bernese Mountain Dog to the family in the future! About Joe: I’ve always loved animals and grew up with a Weimaraner named Wimzy! She passed early last year after spending 13 wonderful years with my family. Haley: My flexible work schedule allows me to take care of pets at any time during the day or night. Joe: I work a non-traditional corporate work schedule. I am in the office Wednesday thru Saturday from 3am to the early afternoon. This gives me a pretty empty schedule to help with Rover cares or to stop by if Haley gets called into to work on short notice. We work as a team which really allows us to give the upmost care for your pet while they’re with us. We have a large yard, while it is unfenced, it is in a quiet neighborhood. Dogs will always be leashed for potty breaks for safety. If your dogs needs to unleash their zoomies there is a fenced in dog park just a short 5-minute walk away! Cats will find comfort in our quiet home with many cozy windowsills to snuggle up on. Toys & treats (with owner’s permission) are always provided!

Brian has been a life saver for us! We had a complicated family emergency and Brian has been an invaluable and professional asset during this period. Brian has been such a great friend to Charlie, our dog. Charlie is so very excited when Brian comes, and since he's a big dog, we've really appreciative how well he responds to Brian. Brian has also been 100 percent reliable, extremely communicative, and very flexible. He has even helped my elderly mother bring in packages and other things that have become difficult for her. He's just a good human being! Brian is great with dogs and also with people. We so appreciate his help over the past several months.

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
