About: I’ve loved caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I started helping take care of my family dog at age seven, and over the years my experience has grown to include a wide variety of pets, from chickens and tortoises to rabbits. Each has taught me something different about patience, attentiveness, and individualized care. I currently have two cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day needs, personalities, and quirks that come with feline care. What sets me apart is the combination of this lifelong, hands-on experience and my medical training. As a medical student, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and comfort with administering medications when needed. I’m very attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or energy, and I understand how important it is to follow care instructions closely. I also have experience caring for senior pets. I had a cat who lived to 20+, so I understand the extra patience, gentleness, and consistency older animals need. Whether your pet is young and energetic or requires a slower, more thoughtful approach, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times! I’m currently in my fourth year of medical school and have completed my core clinical rotations, which gives me a lot of flexibility and free time. I can easily accommodate regular visits, walks, or extended care throughout the week, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to ensure your pet’s needs are consistently met. I understand how important companionship and routine are for pets, and I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable environment whether in my home or yours. I use Rover myself to ensure my cats stay happy and cared for when I’m away, so I know what it’s like to provide peace of mind for both pets and their owners. I follow all instructions closely, supervise playtime, and make sure each pet feels secure and loved.

“We were very upfront with Marsha that our rescue dog can be slightly aggressive and does not like strangers—we had almost given up on finding a sitter. Although Marsha never rushed the process, always listened to our concerns, and used techniques that helped our pup build trust slowly. She’s a great communicator with lots of messages, pictures and video. It was so nice to be away and not feel concerned. She’s a great sitter for anxious pups!”

She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”
