About: I have cared for young to senior, rambunctious to frail. This includes dogs, cats and even guinea pigs. I can provide walks, feedings, meds, play and even Reiki! Past volunteer at the Brunswick County Humane Society and NMB Humane Society. I travel between Charlotte and Sunset Beach, mainly in Sunset Beach. Our dog sitter fell through last minute right before a long trip over thanksgiving weekend. We put the dog in the car and began our long journey, deciding we’d try to figure it out along the way. We scrambled to find someone last minute and Melissa kindly accepted us. She was incredibly easy going, and very kind. She took great care of our dog and sent us pictures of him enjoying himself at the beach. When I picked him up, he had made many friends in just a few short days. About: I have previous experience working as a dog kennel attendant at Camp Bow Wow, where I was responsible for supervising groups of up to 25 dogs at a time. My responsibilities included cleaning up after the dogs, preventing altercations, playing with and exercising the dogs, and making sure each dog felt comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I closely monitored their behavior, energy levels, appetite, and overall condition to quickly recognize any signs of stress, illness, injury, or discomfort and communicate concerns when necessary. I also have two cocker spaniels at home that I frequently look after, and I regularly pet sit and dog walk for friends while at college in Columbia. I love working with dogs and would love the opportunity to continue doing so while home for the summer. I’m currently working part time, so I’m home for at least half the day and have plenty of time to give your pup attention, walks, playtime, cuddles, treats, and loving care throughout the day. Your dog will be welcomed into a calm, dog free beach house with just me and my sister, filled with beach walks, porch relaxing, poolside lounging, treats, attention, and lots of love.
