About: I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been a pet sitter my whole life! I grew up with both dogs (big and small) and cats, and I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I have experience with dogs who aren’t always dog-friendly or kid-friendly and know how to respectfully manage their space, routines, and comfort levels to keep everyone safe and stress-free. I’m currently an intern with the Monterey Aquariums Sea Otter care team, so caring for animals is quite literally what I do every day! I’ve raised kittens and puppies, cared for senior and hospice cats and dogs, and I’m comfortable administering medications to both. Whether your pet is high-energy, shy, reactive, senior, or still learning the basics, I’m experienced in tailoring my care to match their personality and routine. I love long walks, enrichment activities, and making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits really naturally into my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to schedule pet visits around my shifts without any issue. I’m available in the mornings or early afternoons/evenings, and I can stay for several hours if your pet needs extra company, enrichment, or supervision. I’m also available on weekends and some holidays. I care for pets in their own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable. I don’t bring animals to my house, so all of my services are centered around keeping your pet’s routine consistent in their familiar environment. When I’m in your home, I will make sure to follow your instructions closely, whether that’s specific feeding schedules, preferred walking routes, medication routines, or favorite enrichment activities. I always make sure pets have fresh water, a clean space, plenty of attention, and whatever level of play, exercise, or quiet company they prefer. I’m very respectful of your home and treat it with the same care I give your pets. I tidy up after visits, keep things organized, and make sure everything is exactly how you left it. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and understood while you’re away, and for you to feel confident knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I’ve owned dogs for 12 years and taken care of dogs from ages of puppy to senior, I currently have two shitzu’s, one is blind and needs extra care that I am able to handle with other blind dogs if needed. I have a completely open and free schedule, able to pet sit any day and any time as well as overnight or all day if needed. I live in an apartment building with my two cats and dogs, I take me dogs on walks every other day and take them out to the bathroom every 2 hours, one of my dogs is blind and needs extra care and patience when walking and one of my cats wears diapers as she has continence issues, I am able to and can take care of other animals with these issues as well. Two of my relatives are active and past veterinarians and can offer active help and advice if needed.

I have a flexible schedule and can pop in to care for your pets at different times during the day. Happy to do extended 60 minute visits as needed. I provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love and attention during every visit. Please always feel free to leave special instructions- medications etc. Have cared for Diabetic dogs as well.

About: Prior to now, I have owned two dog boutique hotels that I have personally built from the ground up. I am familiar with all kinds of doggies and their personalities. All doggies are special to me and will receive nothing but the best of care and affection. I am currently taking care of pups in your own home unless we discuss and or have made other arrangements. I am also a commissioned artist so I would not be leaving to another job, your pup(s) would be my only concern. I might go run a couple errands, grocery store, etc... but I would enjoy just being home with your pups and painting, exercising them, playing with them or just doing whatever they are familiar in doing with you. As to your own personal instructions only. I understand, every dog has their own individual personality and each puppy has special needs. I will accompany each puppy as you wish.

I’m Marissa — dog walker, house sitter, and part-time therapist for a German Shepherd named Kai, who has decided I’m his entire personality now. Kai started as a very reactive, chaotic dog at first, but now he’s out here heeling, minding his business around other dogs, and acting like he’s training me. He’s still protective but he’s not as reactive to other animals. So yes, I’m totally comfortable with big breeds, reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who are a little… dramatic. 🐾 Please note: Bookings that require extended travel or constant care may require a rate adjustment. I’m calm, patient, and I actually pay attention to your pet’s vibe. Whether your furry friend wants zoomies, snuggles, or a silent stare-down from across the room — I can match their energy. If you want someone reliable who will love your pet, hype them up, and send you funny updates, I got you. Also Kai wanted me to tell you he approves this message. I am a part time student so I’m mostly free on weekends. I spend most of my free time either studying, walking Kai, or going to the gym, so I can easily squeeze in some pet care/house sitting. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedule, walks, potty breaks, medications, and any house rules you have. I give lots of positive reinforcement, calm company, and plenty of play or enrichment depending on what your pet enjoys. I also keep your home tidy, double-check doors and gates, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I have the most experience with various dog breeds young and old. More recently I have grown to also love and care for cats. Most of my full time experience has been with my personal dogs. Zoe, an Australian Shepard, was a shining light in my life for 14 years. Prior to Zoe I had Max, a sweet and gentle Rottweiler I was with for 6 years. For the past 4 years I've been spending a lot of time caring for the beloved pets and homes of my friends and family. I'm a retired teacher so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do some regular volunteer work with cancer patients a few hours each week. I walk or hike daily and a furry companion would be welcome. It's one of the main reasons I signed up for Rover! I am also now on Trusted Housesitters and have experience caring for pets in client's homes. I could have a pet in my home for short visits. I live near a lovely wooded trail that dogs LOVE.

About: I have experienced with hands on care for dogs and cats of all age, proving daily walks, administering basic medications, and proving lots of love. Making sure the pets feel comfortable and safe is always a top priority. I’m a current full time students, so I have availability throughout the week for drop ins in the morning or evening. I am available all week for pet sitting. I can provided safety, trust and security in the environment by attending introduction meetings with pet parents either in person or virtually to establish needs of pet care. During stay, I will send update pictures and text.

About: I grew up with both dogs and cats, I even had a gecko when I was younger. I have lived with and cared for pets my whole life. I grew up with a orange tabby cat, and recently lived with a Bombay and an American shorthair. I have also cat sat an Egyptian Mau and a Nebelung. My friends call me the cat whisperer because even when they say "he/she isn't keen to newcomers, the cat tends to feel comfortable with me right from the start". This is something I love seeing since cats are known to be more picky about who they chose to rub against or get close to. I have also grown up around and cared for a variety of dogs. To list a few dog breeds I have cared for: American Eskimo, Labrador, Golden Retrieves, Huskie, Malamute, German Shepard, Cavapoo, Belgian Malinois, Golden Doodle, Beagle, Wiener dog, Katahula, Mountain Cur, Boxer. My first dog was an American Eskimo , and then my family also had a couple Labs and currently have a Katahula/Mountain Cur mix. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with the care of their pets. I have experience working with working dogs (Belgian Malinois, German Shepard) and caring for them on strict schedules as my best friend has 2 working dogs that have alternating schedules and crate times. My last roommate has a Cavapoo and since I work fully remote I spent the days caring for him, taking him on walks, feeding him dinner, I even gave him bathes though he didn't particularly enjoy them. I love to go for runs/walks and love to cuddle. I promise that if you chose me to care for your pet they will receive all the love I have to offer. I currently work from home full-time with a lot of flexibility in my work schedule, so I am able to take the pets out for walks multiple times a day if needed, and it opens me up to be more available to watch your pets. I am a highly active person so having a furry companion to play with always makes my days better. I currently share an apartment with a roommate who does not do well with Pet Dander so it is best if I care for your furry friends at your home. I will respect your wishes whether you allow pets on furniture or not. I do not mind if they are on the furniture but that is a personal preference and understand the need for consistency with animals. When caring for your pet I just ask that you provide a note of preferred do's or dont's in your home.
