About: I am an animal lover who has always had dogs in my home. I have a large backyard with shade and a big garage dedicated to large dogs, and I also accommodate smaller dogs in the house. I am a full time pet sitter home all day with our guests. Please ask if you need anything particular for your family members and I will do our best to accommodate. I have a large fully enclosed backyard and garage as well as indoor spaces with safe separation when required. I will accommodate if I can!
“Molly and her husband were absolutely wonderful with my two fur babies! They were able to accommodate us last minute, and Molly even went out of her way to pick them up after their bath. She made sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for in her home. I truly appreciated how kind, accommodating, and attentive they were. I highly recommend Molly and her husband for anyone looking for trustworthy and loving pet sitters! 🐾❤️”

About: I love animals, I even seriously considered becoming a vet and worked at a vet clinic for a few months. My grandfather is a vet as well. Growing up we had dogs, cats, birds, pretty much every animal under the sun. I am currently in law school at USC. I live in Marina Del Rey, in an apartment with a large balcony. I go to school four days a week (Mon-Thursday), so I'm home most of the time during the day. I'm very active and would be happy to take your dog running, hiking, or to the dog park down the street. I can administer any pet meds you need. Non smoker. No kids. No pets of my own. Please let me know if you have questions! My family is in the area and has a dog, if it would be preferable for you to have another dog your pup can play with I can always bring him over!
“Alexis is amazing! We just moved to the area, and she immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease about leaving our Luna in her care. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and communicative throughout the entire experience. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Luna was in good hands. We’re so happy we found Alexis and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their fur baby! 🐾❤️”

“As someone who has used rover for years I can say Mary was five stars. She was wonderful with my very anxious cattle dog. Her warm calm presence was perfect for mags temperament. She gave me great feedback during the stay and sent pictures. She knew exactly what to do to keep mag as comfortable as possible in a new environment. I felt so confident that he would be okay with her. 10/10 recommend her with your pets. Thank you Mary!”

“First time using Rover and happy with how everything turned out. Was in town with the fam and planned on visiting the aquarium. Reached out to Jesse 2 days prior to our visit and he responded right away. He walked and fed Audie and sent pictures and texted updates. We were running late for pickup and Jesse was kind enough to give us extra time so we didn’t have to rush back. Thanks Jesse!”

About: I have had dogs all of my life, all breeds and all ages. We are a family of 6, Mom, Dad, our 12 yr old daughter and our 3 fur babies. We dedicate our time to making them happy and live a full life. We have volunteered to foster puppies through the SPCA and pet sit for family as well. Our home is cozy with a good size backyard. All dogs would sleep indoors and have someone with them at all times since We work from home. We currently work from home so there will always be someone home with your pet. We can go for short or long walks a couple times per day and they have full access to to indoor and outdoor throughout the day. We have a fenced backyard and can separate rooms with baby gates if needed. There’s a doggy door in the garage to the backyard and two separate runners. We have a soon to be 5 yr old German shepherd, a 9 yr old rescue chihuahua and our old man a 10 yr old Shih Tzu. They are spayed/neutered and get along great with other dogs. You will have the option to have your pet sleep in the living room alongside our dogs or in a separate room.
“Kelly and her kids were amazing!! Typically, Hampton takes some time to warm up to people but he took to their family very quickly. Charlie is also very sweet. I loved how many photos and reassurance they provided throughout the day. Would absolutely recommend :)”

“Carol communicated well, and sent us pictures and a video of our little puppy throughout the day. When we went to pick Tucker up, he seemed content and relaxed. He was happy to see us but not anxious. It's relieving to find a caretaker who wants to spend quality time with our best friend And care for him in such a way as to make him feel at home. Thanks for taking care of our buddy, Carol!!”

“Sam and Yuchen provided daycare for us while we did a quick half day to the aquarium. Elphie is new to rover day care and they did amazing and accommodating. They are also super quick to reply whenever I sent a message which is a whole 5 stars in its own. Will definitely contact them again for dog sitting when we are in the area”

“First time using this service, and I was extremely nervous. However, Denise was outstanding, and our Frenchie couldn’t have been happier. I would definitely use Denise again. She kept me updated with messages and photos of Summer, which made me feel completely comfortable and at peace while we enjoyed our dinner, knowing our baby was in great hands and being well taken care of. Denise has helped me modify the rate and Me and my husband is 11/10 so happy and satisfied. Thank you so much for everything. You make our anniversary and my birthday the most amazing one!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong passion for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for them. I’ve been a dog owner since I was 15, and I currently have two French Bulldogs, which has given me a deep understanding of breed-specific needs, puppy energy, and senior pet care. Over the years, I’ve learned how to read dogs’ body language, understand their moods, and respond calmly and effectively to keep them safe and happy. Professionally, I’ve worked in both an animal hospital and a doggy daycare, where I gained experience with feeding routines, administering basic care, monitoring health and behavior, and handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’m also skilled in creating structured routines, providing gentle exercise, and giving extra love and attention to pets who need it, like seniors or shy dogs. I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive. I make sure to communicate clearly with pet owners, providing regular updates and photos so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. For me, every pet deserves individualized care, respect, and affection, and I treat each one as if they were my own. My combination of personal experience, professional training, and genuine love for animals ensures that every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and truly cared for. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 166 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Carmel Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carmel Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
