“Richard was a wonderful host, he gave me plenty of updates as well as sending me pics through out my pups stay. He had a big fenced in yard with plenty of space for my dog to run around and play 10/10 definitely recommend.”

“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Maria is amazing at being a trustworthy, reliable, kind pet sitter! Her communication from the beginning has been stellar. She suggested we have a meet and greet, which went very well. Her dogs are so sweet and well trained and warmly welcomed my dog. Her son is so kind and loving and he also made my dog Bailey feel cherished. I was nervous about how my Bailey would do in a new environment since she and I are pretty attached to each other but she had a terrific fun day and Maria sent me several pictures and even a video which completely put me at ease. There’s no doubt the next time. I have a need that Maria will be who I contact!”

“Elaine and her daughter are the best! We always have total peace of mind leaving our anxious girl with them. They’re great with dogs and really know what they’re doing.”

“Raleigh was fantastic for our dog Maximus! He was obviously very knowledgeable about dog body language and how to properly introduce dogs to one another. His dog is the absolute sweetest, and made for a great playmate for our dog. He was also fantastic about communication and was very quick to respond. Would highly recommend!”

“Excellent with my dog! Great communication, very accommodating. Will have my pup there again!”

About: I have been working with and caring for pets since the 1980s. I currently an self-employed and work from home while taking regular breaks to walk and tend to my own two dogs, Lincoln and Ginger, both of whom enjoy the company of other dogs. I also have two cats and experience caring for small rodents (gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice and rats), reptiles and amphibians, and fish. My philosophy is to let animals express their innate tendencies in a safe and structured environment so they feel loved, appreciated, and empowered to behave appropriately in the spaces they share with humans. I spent 20 years owning and operating restaurants and made a career change in 2023 when my sister received a terminal cancer diagnosis. I now work from home as a self-employed restaurant consultant in large part to be able to spend more time with my own pets, including a dog I inherited after my sister's passing. Pet care is at the center of my life and I'd be happy to help you with your pets as I also care for my own. My goal is to walk my dog for at least one hour everyday, and most of the time I achieve that! I frequently take him for outings to large off-leash parks so he can get a sufficient amount of exercise. I also clean my cats' litter boxes daily and feed everyone meals twice per day with some treats in between. If I am watching your dogs you can expect that I will treat them like my own.

About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. I promise that your dogs will be treated very well and that they will truly enjoy their “vacation” at my home. It’s difficult to leave your “loved ones” in the care of others and I know that feeling. Rest assured that they will be cared for and spoiled to the best of my ability! I am a behavioral therapist who works with children and families. I have a hybrid job which means that I work from home doing Telehealth services and I also see clients in person at times. I am home for most of the day and this worked perfectly when I cared for my late dog, Arwen. I do not have any pets currently. I have an elevated deck that is only accessible from the house. It is surrounded and my dog loved to spend time out there basking in the sun. I have a yard but it is not fenced in. My neighborhood is quiet and very dog friendly.

“Super friendly and accommodating!”

“We needed an afternoon of drop in care while doing a college tour. Bengu took my fur babies in on short notice. She sent lots of pics. And the dogs really enjoyed getting into the yard after being cooped up in our air bnb. I will definitely use her service again when visiting the kids at college.”

“I can’t even explain what a relief it is to have found Valerie! After our previous Rover sitter moved away, I had major reservations about finding someone else to trust with Teddy. All of my concerns vanished with Valerie. She is warm, kind, and truly cares about the pets left in her care. I was spoiled with photos and video updates all day. It is such a relief to know that Teddy has a happy safe place I can rely on. I picked him up and he was happy and obviously doted on all day. THANK YOU so much! We can’t wait to see you again.”

“She was fantastic. Send photos and even videos. I saw Lincoln was having a good time. He zoned out shortly after we got to our hotel.”

About: I recently stepped down from volunteering 7 days a week for Bridge to Home Animal Rescue located in Washington, Pennsylvania. I loved every moment. I have fostered 80+ animals, and have had personal pets all my life. Currently I have two golden retrievers and 2 rescue cats of my own. My children are learning to have empathy, and have responsibility as I did when I was a child. From the time I was able to work I held volunteer and paid positions in animal shelters, rescues, and helping my friends and family with sitting and training. My husband helps out often as he’s a large part of my rescue life and thankful for that. Nursing school has helped me to be involved in the vetting process for the animals, birthing puppies, and care from seniors to puppies. Cats to kittens. I can give topical, oral, and injectable medications. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, and other animals of all ages. It is my true passion in life. I would work with animals 24 hours a day if I could and it is why I have not returned to a nursing position at the hospital. I handled our main page on Facebook and other socials alongside with my director for BTHAR, where I also fostered and volunteered for many years. I am stay at home parent, and my children are either in a camp, school, or with my parents when I am away from the home sitting pets. They often participate in the care provided to all animals. I have an underground fenced yard with 2 friendly dogs. Both are crate, house, obedience trained and socialized with other animals. I am off of any main road and live in a quiet neighborhood near a school where we often walk the dogs and take them to play ball. They are a part of my family. The cats are dog savvy and love guests as well. I am willing to offer most services dependent upon the animals ability to coexist with animals in my home. I can provide any service needed in the homes of clients. Different times per year change my availability but it will always be updated/discussed.

About: My 13 year old senior dog, Dixie, recently crossed the rainbow bridge. I’m honoring her by caring for other dogs with the same love and patience. I have 15+ years of experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to seniors with medical or behavioral needs. I’m confident with reactive and shy dogs, medication, and custom routines because I’ve lived it. Your dog’s well-being is my top priority and I will always put your pet first. I provide honest, compassionate care tailored to their needs without judgment. I work full time from home which allows me the flexibility to prioritize pet care in a way I wouldn’t be able to with a traditional office job. This looks like breaks for play time, medication, cuddles or walks when they are needed, not when they can be fit in. I create a calm, secure environment where pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or theirs, I work on building trust by moving at each pet’s pace and honoring their boundaries. Safety is always my top priority, I supervise pets closely, follow all instructions carefully, and adapt to their unique needs. I keep spaces clean, hazard-free, and ensure pets have fresh water, proper food, and quiet resting spots. For reactive or anxious pets, I use gentle, low stress handling & positive reinforcement or redirecting to help them feel calm and supported. Every care plan is tailored specifically to your pet’s needs after we discuss what works best for them.

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 sibling Shelties who are 4 years old, they are very friendly and love to play. I work from home so I am flexible with my availability. I can take dogs out frequently for fresh air and to get exercise and attention. There are common areas/open fields in my neighborhood where my dogs love to run and play. I have lots of space in my home including a finished basement with crates for dogs who like to have some quiet time.

“Tim is a neighbor and we met when he was walking his dog, Lincoln. Lincoln became best friends with my dogs. Tim became their best friend because he loves to play ball with my Gus. We felt very comfortable with Tim and even asked him to let our dogs out to play when we weren't home. Tim took in his sister's dog, Ginger, recently and has shown patience and understanding for this timid older dog. I highly recommend Tim as a pet caregiver. Thank you, Susan O”

“Look up the definition of dog lover in the dictionary and you’ll see a picture of Ashley and her family. Her love for dogs (all animals really) as well as her knowledge of their needs is unmatched. As a long time foster for a local shelter and a pet owner herself, Ashley has experience with various breeds, sizes and needs. Any pet in their home is guaranteed to receive the best care, plenty of fun and of course lots of snuggles from humans of all ages. My 4 year old lab who thinks humans were put on this earth to pet him, loves Ashley and wiggles out of his tail when he sees her and she genuinely loves him right back!”

“I highly recommend Mary as a dog caregiver. I’d be happy to leave my dogs in her care anytime. You and your dog have come to good fortune if she is watching your dog. I have known Mary more than 25 years. She is good person, and she is expert at taking care of and training dogs. She certainly has more than 10,000 hours taking care of dogs. She currently owns two very sweet Shetland sheep dogs she trained and cares for. They are playful and respectful of each other and other dogs and humans. She previously had two Australian Shepherds that lived to 13 and 14 years old. They were well behaved and great with people and other dogs.”
