“Buster had a blast with the dogs in the yard. He was all doggie smiles when we picked him up! On top of that, I booked for the wrong day and Richard was nothing but nice about it, and completely accommodating. We’ll be back when we come through Pittsburgh again.”

“Maria is amazing at being a trustworthy, reliable, kind pet sitter! Her communication from the beginning has been stellar. She suggested we have a meet and greet, which went very well. Her dogs are so sweet and well trained and warmly welcomed my dog. Her son is so kind and loving and he also made my dog Bailey feel cherished. I was nervous about how my Bailey would do in a new environment since she and I are pretty attached to each other but she had a terrific fun day and Maria sent me several pictures and even a video which completely put me at ease. There’s no doubt the next time. I have a need that Maria will be who I contact!”

“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Christy is a lifesaver. She's worked with us to make sure our neurotic, old daucshund can be eased into having a sitter & we are so grateful.”

“Elaine and her daughter are the best! We always have total peace of mind leaving our anxious girl with them. They’re great with dogs and really know what they’re doing.”

“I can’t even explain what a relief it is to have found Valerie! After our previous Rover sitter moved away, I had major reservations about finding someone else to trust with Teddy. All of my concerns vanished with Valerie. She is warm, kind, and truly cares about the pets left in her care. I was spoiled with photos and video updates all day. It is such a relief to know that Teddy has a happy safe place I can rely on. I picked him up and he was happy and obviously doted on all day. THANK YOU so much! We can’t wait to see you again.”

“We needed an afternoon of drop in care while doing a college tour. Bengu took my fur babies in on short notice. She sent lots of pics. And the dogs really enjoyed getting into the yard after being cooped up in our air bnb. I will definitely use her service again when visiting the kids at college.”

“Sebastian was very patient with our dog Lucy! She can be very territorial and doesn’t always take to people. We greatly appreciate your help with her!”

“Frances is a life saver! She is very patient with my older dog who has some anxiety and my rambunctious younger dog! She is a natural with animals and made me feel comfortable immediately! This is my first time using rover and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks Frances!”

About: 2023 update New dog, new city. After my last chihuahua passed of old age in 2020 i took a break from pet sitting I decided to get another one. Rafiki is now my main priority and we are looking to make some other small dog friends around the city. I am looking to start a dog walking/sitting business and want to build my experience. I enjoy being outside with my dogs, so why not increase that with walking other dogs! I have had my oldest dog for over 15 years now and he runs the house. My 15 year old is a Chihuahua, and my 4 year old is a Staffordshire Terrier mix so I have experience with both small and large dogs. There is nothing like the love of a dog and I want to recreate that in my career. My goal is to provide excellent service and have fun doing it with all the fur babies out there. I hope you will consider me when deciding who to trust with your 4 legged family members. Work full time remotely at home. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to play in and ensure safety/security is a top priority in our home. I spent all of my time with my dog throughout the work day. I work from home so am able to provide care all day. Backyard is fenced for safety. Walkable neighborhood if needed to go on walks.

“Ana and Alvaro were great with Sherry. At a very last minute request, they were able to take her in. She was immediately comfortable and they were very flexible and accommodating.”

About: I have been working with and caring for pets since the 1980s. I currently an self-employed and work from home while taking regular breaks to walk and tend to my own two dogs, Lincoln and Ginger, both of whom enjoy the company of other dogs. I also have two cats and experience caring for small rodents (gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice and rats), reptiles and amphibians, and fish. My philosophy is to let animals express their innate tendencies in a safe and structured environment so they feel loved, appreciated, and empowered to behave appropriately in the spaces they share with humans. I spent 20 years owning and operating restaurants and made a career change in 2023 when my sister received a terminal cancer diagnosis. I now work from home as a self-employed restaurant consultant in large part to be able to spend more time with my own pets, including a dog I inherited after my sister's passing. Pet care is at the center of my life and I'd be happy to help you with your pets as I also care for my own. My goal is to walk my dog for at least one hour everyday, and most of the time I achieve that! I frequently take him for outings to large off-leash parks so he can get a sufficient amount of exercise. I also clean my cats' litter boxes daily and feed everyone meals twice per day with some treats in between. If I am watching your dogs you can expect that I will treat them like my own.

About: I am excited to meet your babies! Although I'm new to the Pittsburgh area, I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I'm currently a Stay At Home Mom to 2 kids, 2 pups, and a turtle; formerly a Shift Supervisor at a Doggy Daycare in Erie, CO. Bonus if your pet is okay around kids- I will be far more flexible to work with your schedule, and they will get EXTRA attention at no additional cost 😉 I have a reliable vehicle and I am K-9 CPR certified. I have Vet assistant experience, so I can administer oral medication for both dogs and cats, topical medications, and subcutaneous injections (including insulin). Does your pet love extra attention and play time with gentle children? My weekday late morning and afternoon drop ins would be perfect- my 4 Year old son is a cat whisperer in training, and cares/loves for our dog at home and is so excited to join mommy at work 🥰 My goal is to keep your pet safe, healthy, and happy to the best of my ability with the resources I'm given. I will strive to keep them comfortable with my presence (even if that means giving them space when they need it 😉)

“Awesome daycare experience for the pups! Thank you Jesse!”

About: I am a reliable and caring pet enthusiast. I work with my husband, Dan, on Rover and together we provide excellent care for our clients. We have both walked taken care of dogs and cats for decades. We both have have skills in training and caring for dogs of all ages. We have always had cats and dogs in our life, and I have also had rabbits. We are experienced in all areas of pet care, including administering medicine. I have been involved in cat rescue since I was a kid. For years I was known as the neighborhood cat lady. I would take in abandoned kittens and take care of them until I could find homes for them. I would also get care for strays and find homes for them. I've also provided transportation and a foster home for cats while working with a rescue agency. I work a flexible part time schedule. I have plenty of time and flexibility for scheduling pets care. I am usually available at short notice. We feed our 2 dogs and our cat very healthy food and a balanced diet. I am experienced with dog training, and with first aid procedures. We are very flexible, especially since we work together. We are available mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Working together allows us to be more flexible with our clients. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and all of them are very friendly and love people and other animals. Our dogs are trained to not go outside until we give them a command to do so. We are also careful when letting out clients' dogs outside, making sure that we have them on a leash. We also carefully monitor cats so that they don't sneak out.

He recently adopted an elderly, very skittish female who lost her owner. She had originally been in a hoarding situation and has special needs.
