My name is Kate Palmer, and I recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati 🎓❤️ I just started on Rover and am looking for pet sitting opportunities because I genuinely love animals and caring for them! 🐶🐱 Although I’m new to Rover, I have years of caregiving experience through nannying for multiple families, which has taught me how to be patient, responsible, attentive, and dependable. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions. I know how important consistency is for animals and I always treat both pets and homes with respect and care. Since I have a dog and two cats of my own, I’m very familiar with reading animal behavior, giving pets attention and patience, and making sure they feel calm and cared for. About: What sets me apart is my experience and flexibility. I started pet sitting in college and have always loved caring for animals. Now that I work locally with summer hours ending before 5, I’m able to offer reliable drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. About: I love animals. With over 30 years of experience caring for both cats and dogs, animals have been a central part of my life since childhood. I started walking dogs in middle school as my very first job, and I’ve never stopped loving it! I’ve raised and trained my own dogs from puppyhood, so I understand the patience and consistency needed during those early stages. I currently care for my own dogs, I love them and they are my best friends and 100% part of our family. I have experience with senior pets who require medication, as well as rescue dogs who need a little extra patience and understanding due to anxiety or feeding concerns. My schedule is very flexible this summer! I work in an elementary school during the school year, so I'm off for the summer months. Other than occasionally carpooling my son to camp, my days are wide open and I'm available to accommodate a variety of pet care needs I prefer to care for dogs in their own home so they stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. About: I've had pet since my earliest memories. On top of caring for pets of my own, including cats, dogs, reptiles, arachnids, and more, I also fostered animals in southern Indiana for 5+ years. Now that I'm in the Cincinnati area I want to find a way to help animals again so I joined Rover! I currently work as a contractor for a delivery company so I choose my own hours, this way I have time to fit in the furry friends. I can come any time, day or night! When caring for pets in someones home I always make sure to have a list of things the pet parents want to make sure is done. I also make sure all cabinets and doors are secure before leaving a room, this way pets can't get into anything they shouldn't. When outside with the pups, I always make sure to keep them on the outside away from the road when walking on sidewalks.
