“Margaret took great care of our senior golden. He got to go for long walks and play with her sweet dog. I don’t think I he wanted to come home! We will gladly ask to to care for our pup again in the future.”

“Bri was amazing! She and her family welcomed my dog with open arms and treated him well. I appreciated Bri's consistent communication and photos throughout his stay and look forward to using her services in the future.”

“Olivia was great. My dog was injured and needed someone to watch him closely. Her home was clean and I could tell my dog had a comfortable stay. Olivia also responded to texts promptly and accommodated a late pick up time. Would trust her with my pup again!”

“Though it was strange to have to meet in a business parking lot, Lipika came through for us in a real time of need. Our original arrangements for Prince fell through and Lipika’s availability was a timely and substantial. They provided constant communication on Princes’ activities and wellbeing. I would definitely recommend Lipika to anyone looking for a safe place to care for their dog.”

“Arya is a very attentive, experienced, and caring dog sitter. She took amazing care of my dog, sharing updates throughout the stay and going on lots of walks. My dog can be a bit anxious during stays and Arya quickly made her feel welcome and comfortable in her home. Would very much recommend to anyone looking for pet care.”

“My fur baby was right at home. Aquisha was awesome and made me feel very comfortable with leaving Zeus with her. i didn’t worry about him one bit and she sent me pictures daily.”

“Michael was very easy to schedule with. I am so happy he was available for a last minute trip. I particularly wanted him to watch my pup as he works from home (as I do) which allowed Libbie to feel love and attention at all times. Yes, we all like to spoil our pups!! I have already scheduled my next trip with him as I know she will be well taken care of, exercise is awesome with her own playmate. When I picked her up she was happy and well cared for.”

“Krystal and her family were Wonderful. She took care of our dog during the time that Charlotte had record snowfall and cold weather. A path was cleared for our dog so he could go out in the snow. We came home to a happy and healthy sweet dog.”

“Jasmine was nothing short of amazing!! She put me at ease with her calm demeanor when I first met her. Throughout my dog’s visit, she kept me informed and sent me pics that calmed me and put me more at ease! I will definitely use her again, my dog loves her!! Thanks again Jasmine!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our sweet girl, Luna! From the moment we dropped her off, we knew she was in the best hands. Claudia, her husband, and even her parents treated Luna like she was part of their own family. She was safe, loved, and had so much fun playing, when she was picked up, she was happy and relaxed. It was her own vacation. Finding someone who provides that kind of genuine care and attention is so rare, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found Claudia. If she’s available, she will be the only sitter we trust to care for Luna from here on out. Highly recommend, almost want to keep her as a secret.”

“They were great! Made our dogs feel right at home! They did a meet and greet before hand to make sure all the doggos got along! Will definitely use again :)”

“Caitlin was amazing with my girls while I was out of town! They took to her right away, and I was totally at ease knowing they were well cared for and getting lots of love. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she watches and treats them as if they were her own. Communication was seamless and Caitlin made the whole process stress-free - I would absolutely book with her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter!!”

“5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Is not enough really. Ashley was so great! The resort we visited would not allow pets so Bode needed a home for 2 days. We found Ashley on Rover and booked her services. Ashley was professional, knowledgeable and loving. She kept us updated on the fun Bode was having during his stay at her beautiful home. A home complete with a fenced in backyard and pool. Dropping off a family pet with a Stranger can seem daunting but the minute we met Ashley we were instantly at ease. And the truth is Bode would have happily stayed longer ??. He met new furry friends and was welcome. Thank you Ashley ???”

“We are so happy that we found Dawn to care for our dog. She took such good care of Remi while we were gone and provided us with multiple pictures and daily updates on how she was doing. Remi got out on nice walks with her dog Lucy and also slept in her bed at night with her and Lucy. I will definitely be using Dawn again to care for our sweet girl.”

“Jacob did an awesome job taking care of Bella while I was away. His experience with service dogs is definitely a plus! Bella felt right at home with him as well as his 3 dogs. She will definitely be coming back again real soon!”

About: My husband and I have been caring for and loving dogs for as long as we can remember. We both grew up with dogs and understand just how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on us for dog sitting, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. Since we both have the flexibility to work from home, we’re able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and consistent care throughout the day, so your dog feels comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. We’re truly dog lovers at heart and adore pups of all shapes and sizes! However, due to allergies in our home, we’re only able to offer boarding for non-shedding or hypoallergenic breeds. This allows us to provide a comfortable environment for everyone while still giving your pup all the love, attention, and care they deserve. We both work from home full time, which means we’re always available for your pup! We’ve owned and cared for our own dog for years, so we’re already adjusted to the daily routines including playtime, walks, and just lounging if that what your pup prefers. We’re flexible and can accommodate overnight and multiple night stays. Your dog will always have us around. Since we both work from home, your dog will have plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. We enjoy taking daily walks to give the dogs plenty of exercise and fresh air, and our large backyard provides lots of additional space to run, play, and explore. With someone home throughout the day and plenty of opportunities for activity and playtime, we strive to make every dog feel comfortable, happy, and right at home with us
“As always, Geno had a great stay. He loves to vacation with the other fur babies. He’s always excited to see Allison walk out to greet us and take him inside where he knows it’s playtime! We love Allison!!”

“I was short notice finding boarding and Brittany got back to me very timely. She provided updates as well as pictures which made my first time using her very comfortable. Will use again!”

We are so grateful to Joseph and Christine for taking such wonderful care of Bruno! They kept us updated throughout his stay and always made sure we knew how he was doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. We truly appreciate their attention, kindness, and care. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets. We would absolutely love to have Bruno stay with them again in the future. Thank you both so much!

Ashley was a really wonderful pet sitter, she was very responsive, and easy to work with. She took great care of our dog when we were traveling and would not hesitate to book with her again, she has a great setup and truly cares. Easiest 5 star review i've ever left.

Lashonda is a very sweet and caring person. Our dog had the best time! We were not sure our dog wanted to leave upon pickup - she was obviously cared for very well. 😊 I appreciated how LaShonda asked questions about Bella and wanted an idea of her routine during drop off. Will def use her again.

Nancy was amazing! Our dog Dot went from anxious to showing off toys like it was her own house in just a few hours. We could tell she was in a truly loving environment. We don’t take pet care lightly and are already planning our next visit with Nancy to care for Dot again. After such a positive experience we would highly recommend her!

I would definitely recommend Collin. I could tell my puppy was well taken care of and loved in my absence. As a first time dog mom I was very nervous to leave my pup and Collin made things easier for me. He gave me updates, sent pictures and helped ease my worries while away. I plan to use Collin again for my upcoming travel arrangements.

I had a last minute road trip to address a family matter, and Gianna was in the direction I was heading. We had two puppies, 12 weeks old as of this writing, so there is also that concern that the person you leave them with will care for them like you want them to. Gianna was very pleasant and accommodating, so we took the chance. My wife was super pleased and made it a point of telling me that going forward Gianna will be our go-to. She took care of our little babies as she would her own. They came back happy and we had no issues of any kind. Will use again. Highly recommend.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
