Home All Day & Fully Fenced Yard!
I have owned, cared for, and loved dogs, cats, birds, and even some exotic pets throughout my life and have 10 years of experience pet sitting. I am comfortable with all types of pets and dogs, and I will care for your pets like my own so that they are as happy and secure as possible in your absence. Your fur babies will be treated as a member of the family and will receive loving, quality care with plenty of attention, exercise, and play time. Each pet's care will be customized to their individual needs with minimal disruptions to their daily routine, and you will receive regular updates with photos while you are away. I have a very sweet Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Lucy, who gets along great with other dogs. She makes a great hostess, hence the name Lucy's Bed & Biscuit. I love working with dogs and have trained and competed with Lucy and some of my previous dogs in obedience, agility, and have also done therapy work with them visiting nursing homes. I also have lots of experience and am comfortable giving all types of medications including oral, ear/eye drops, topicals, and injections.

Dawn took wonderful care of our puppy, Emi, and made our first Rover experience a great one. She was caring, attentive, and kept us updated throughout Emi’s stay with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Emi was well looked after and comfortable in her care. We truly appreciated Dawn’s communication and the genuine attention she gave to our puppy. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.
Dawn was an excellent sitter for our whippet, Blake. She communicated clearly and promptly and sent frequent updates throughout his stay. Blake can be shy at times, but he immediately felt at ease in Dawn’s home. She gave him necessary (prescribed) anxiety medication and helped keep him calm during a thunderstorm. Blake ate well and came home healthy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We would absolutely trust Dawn with him again.
Dawn was able to watch my lab, Remi, on short notice and was wonderful. Remi had a friend to play with all weekend and came back as happy as ever. Will book again.
Dawn was so great with Winnie and Max…she provided us with great updates throughout our time away and left our home spotless! Thanks Dawn!
Dawn was great with our two mini Doxies! I loved getting regularly pictures and updates! Our pups came home happy and we will definitely use Dawn again in the future!
Dawn dog sat for our two dogs over the weekend and she was wonderful. One of our dogs had just gotten two teeth pulled so his food had to be softened for each meal and he had medication to take in the morning and night. Our other dog also takes medicine. Dawn was able to manage their feedings and medication schedule successfully while we were away. When we returned, the dogs seemed happy and relaxed which is a sign that they were very well taken care of. Thank you Dawn!

Schedule
Since I do not have another job and am home most of the day, I am super flexible and do my best to schedule any unrelated obligations around the care of your fur kids and their needs. I make taking care of your pets my first priority so that they get the care they need and deserve. Please note that I cannot accept drop off times earlier than 8 am.

Safety, trust & environment
If I am providing overnight care in your home I will stay with your pets overnight and will arrange my schedule to be there throughout the day as much as needed. My overnight rates include walking your dog(s), potty breaks, and hanging out with them throughout the day. I can also care for any other critters such as cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc and I am happy to perform other routine tasks while you are away such as taking out trash, bringing in mail/newspapers, watering plants, rotating blinds, etc to ensure the security of your home. If I am caring of your pet at my home, they will have a secure yard to run and play in, as the yard is completely enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. If your pet enjoys walks, they will love exploring my very walkable and pet friendly neighborhood full of sidewalks and walking trails. Although I prefer a dog that is crate trained for boarding, it is not a deal breaker as long as your dog is house trained and well behaved. Each dog is evaluated on an individual basis.
Pets
A typical day
Depending on what your dog(s) enjoy doing, I can play with them, walk them, or just cuddle and love on them. Any walks will be around the neighborhood on the sidewalks or trails. I love to visit Jetton Park so that is an option if your dog would enjoy that. Your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, and for drop in/dog walking visits in your home, I will plan on spending approximately 30 minutes per visit.
