“Josephine was an excellent sitter! We really appreciated that she took the time to meet Scout and ask questions before the stay began to ensure that everything ran smoothly. During the stay she sent regular updates to let us know Scout was doing well and show us how much fun they were having. Having Josephine care for our little guy meant we could enjoy a weekend away without any concerns. Easiest 5 start review we could give!”

“Jessika was awesome , ottie was well taken care above and beyond during her stay with her was always available when I messaged her on ottie stay . Would definitely recommend and if I need a sitters she is the one I would call on the web site ❤️”

I'm a stay at home dog Mom. We both have lots of energy for walks and hikes. I live on a 1 mile dirt, seasonal, dead end road with lake frontage and massive yard for playing hide and seek in the trees and hunting squirrels. My dog is dog friendly, loves playmates. (No jealousy). In your home care would be provided to your pets as we would discuss with a meet & greet.

My winter project while you head south I provide loving stable home. I only have one boarder at a time so they get 100% of my attention. We walk alot everyday In rural area. On leash or off leash depending on your dog's training. Routine is Important and so is fresh air!
“At 1st I was nervous cause I love my fur babies. However, after the 1st, Audrey sent me videos and I saw how comfortable and playful my dogs were so I wasn't as skeptical as on day 0. I picked them up and I can tell they were so spoiled! Thanks, Audrey for taking care of Zoe and Lexi as if they were your own furbabies.”

“Lizaida watched our chubbs last minute for us over the holidays. She kept us informed and sent pics and videos of our chubbs the whole time he was in her care . We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

About: I have experience with dogs my entire life from daily care routine to caring for senior dogs. Your member of the family would be treated very well and we are able to care for dogs that require special attention. Your dog would not go more than 2-4 hours without someone supervising them. I would make sure your animal is safe. The world class care your fur baby would get would be unmatched. My doggies are literally spoiled but well behaved. They are sweet so there will be plenty of attention and exercise for your loved one. ❤️❤️❤️
“Luke has been beyond amazing with Wall-E. We do not trust most people with our dog but Wall-E had an instant connection with Luke. Luke was extremely attentive to all of Wall-E's needs and kept us updated multiple times during the day. Towards the middle of our trip our anxiety about Wall-E was all gone. Would highly recommend Luke to any dog parent. Thanks Luke!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
