FORT DRUM! VETERANS! I'm here for you! I'm retired and home full time. I live on Fort Drum. I do require a meet and greet at my home for boarding services. If you live off post but are able to access Fort Drum for meet and greet, I can meet you at visitor centre from drop off and pick up at boarding time. I only board in my home on Fort Drum. I do not go to homes off post. I am a Grammy here to help and enjoy my family and have time to help other military families have time away, knowing their furry family members are safe and lovingly cared for. I have wide availability. What better way to assist the Fort Drum community and Veterans than providing a loving, safe situation for your pets so you can enjoy time away. I will try to help you make your family's time away, doable 😊 I no longer have my sweet boy😞, and will not be getting another fur baby, so, I look forward to getting my doggy time, and snuggles from your babies 😊

I have a 2 story town home with smallish fenced yard with covered patio. I have a large green area (not in winter of course ⛄️)around my home (see video and pictures) to go for quick walks in the grass close to the house. Or longer walks within the safety of Fort Drum. I am good with dogs on the bed with me, in their own bed, or crating as the human parent prefers. I do not do cat care.

My breed acceptance is limited to breeds accepted on Fort Drum. I need to protect all fur babies I have in my care. I can take 2 dogs from the same family to stay with me. Or, 2 Dogs from different families depending on the personalities of both dogs at my discretion. I will consider again, on a case by case basis. Sometimes it's really nice for the dogs to have a playmate or just another buddy here to have doggie company. Safety and peacefulness is my priority. Please be prepared to furnish your pets food. Consistency is important for their comfort. I do have treats if your dog is allowed to have them, or supply your pets treats. You are welcomed to bring your dog's bed (crate if used), special toys, and blankets. I do have a XL crate here.

The activities would depend on the wishes of parents and pet activity level and weather. Could range from toy play in the house or yard, to walks outside, weather permitting. We have toys available and bring whatever favorites your fur baby prefers. Lots of cuddle and petting time.

I have always had dogs of many breeds, as well as horses for most of my life. Family and friends have trusted me to care for their "family members" when they need to be away from home. They know I will keep their fur babies safe and happy in their absence.

Sheila took good care of Acton. Sends pictures and videos and update through out the day. Acton was very happy.
Sheila was wonderful with Lucky and consistently sent me photos and updates. Will book again if I need someone to watch him.
Sheila is hands down the best dog sitter we’ve ever used. She provided updates daily about Harley and it gave us such peace of mind. Sheila is truly so sweet and treats Harley as if it’s her own dog and that is the best feeling when leaving town. I highly recommend using Sheila, she’s fantastic!!!
