About: I have been a foster dog mom for 8 years taking on everything from puppies with parvo, to dogs with all sorts of emotional issues. I have had many dogs in the past including chihuahuas, beagle, pitbulll, border collie and german shepards. Me and my husband lost our beautiful beagle to cancer at the age of 13.5. We would love to host and spoil your fur baby as we did with ours. Administering medication is no issues if needed. We moved to Victoria so our boy could retire in style and oh did he! We just loved him that much, we wanted to show him what living the best last years of his life would be like. We have a cozy space enough room for your pup to spend the night when their humans need to be elsewhere. We travel a ton and know exactly how stressful it is to trust someone with your furbaby. We will provide a peaceful and calm environment with lots of love and fun, We like to go on lots of walks, but also love to hang out at home. Outside of travel we hike, go camping, hang out at the beach. We recently relocated to Nanaimo! Me and my husband work from home, so we will be with your best friend 24/7. I have the ability to take you pup on frequenty potty breaks if that is necessary. We are very outgoing outdoorsy people and love to go for long walks, and hikes on the weekend. This includes sometimes a minimum 10km/day. We would love to bring your furry friend with us! Please ensure you pack your harness for the best experience possible! (This is a requirment) Bookings over 1 week require a day care or boarding trial first to ensure your pet is the right fit for us. Please note we do not accept doodles at this time. We provide a calm and safe space for your pup. I have obedience traning experience, puppy to senior experience. We live in a house with a fully fenced yard lots of space for fun. We also have a big field near us where we like to go play frisbee+ We have crate training experience. Dogs are allowed to snuggle on the couch or bed if they would like. Lots of pets and treats will be had to make them feel safe while in a strangers home please pack the treats and chews! No reactive dogs as we have a sweet puppy who would love a playmate.

About: I look forward to getting to know your pup, and helping you give them what they need, whether you are away, or are just swamped! I grew up, caring for the family's high energy German Shepherd and Border Collie. When I went to college, I began looking after friends' dogs over night: meals, town and trail walks, water playing, poop clean ups, bed time routines, tick checks in the evening while they settle in for the night. Since then, I have helped manage dogs in work camp settings, and in homes, for friends and coworkers. I have some experience with puppies, seniors and high stress dogs. I have house sat for single nights, weekends, and several weeks at a time, which I enjoy because it helps me get to know your dog better! I am tidy, respectful of your house rules, and I enjoy caring for houseplants when everyone is put to bed. I am living in Duncan, and working in Mesachie Lake. I am happy to do early morning walks, or walks and sitting afer 3:30 pm, throughout the week Monday -Friday. and full days on weekends. I am available for 30minute lunchtime walks in Lake Cowichan Monday - Friday. I am available to house sit upon scheduling request: weekends and weekdays are all fair game! I am respectful of homes, dogs needs and their stresses. For dog walking, I will walk dogs often in leashed areas. I enjoy bringing dogs to off leash trails -only upon your consent- if your dog has shown good recall, and is safe with other dogs and people. The safety of your dogs and other people is at the forefront of my priorities. I will keep you updated on your dog, on walks, checkups or dog sitting. Throughout the day, I'll check out your dog's poops, make sure they don't get into garbage, and following your rules for greeting dogs and other people. For dog sitting, I am attentive to the dog morning, noon and in the evenings. I will not leave the house for more than 4 hours on weekends. I will play with them inside and outdoors, and ensure they get frequent pee and poop breaks.

About: We have had pets our entire life. Now retired and travel a few months a year, so currently without a pet because of our travels. Missing the love of our own pets (Scruffy lived to 17 and Cedes lived to 16). So we have decided that the love of your pets, would be lovely and would benefit all involved. We live 2 blocks from the beach, which gives the dogs a great run and or swim permitting of course :) My wife and I are both retired and walk to the beach everyday, would be nice to have a dog to walk with us. For the evenings it would be nice to cuddle up to a dog or cat. We live on the bottom floor of a pet friendly building, with access to a yard. We do have a wrap around deck with a 2 foot brick wall/planter that is gated to large partially fenced yard. Pics attached. We both have knowledge of caring for both dogs and cats.

About: I treat all animals like they are my own which includes buying them treats and toys during long term stays or consistent drop in visits. I've been taking care of pets since I was 7 years old. I love getting to know animals personalities and building a special bond with them. I am used to giving pets medicine via pills and oral syringes. It's important to me that all pets get their exercise and are reinforced for positive behaviour. My schedule is extremely flexible! I teach in person for 3 hours a day. The rest of my work can be done remotely which gives me a lot of extra time throughout the day to walk and play with your pets. It is important to me that I follow the detailed instructions left to me. Getting to know the animals personality is important because it helps make me and the animals comfortable. I like to provide pets with a chance to sniff me when we first meet, as well as give them treats and pets to help them trust me. Spending regular time with your pets helps them develop trust. I am used to cleaning up after animal accidents. Lastly, I always leave your home cleaner than how I found it :)

About: Hello, My name is Tara! I am a customer service representative and dancer on the side, and I'm also a huge animal lover! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me so compassionate towards every fur baby; I have a sense for dogs especially. I had a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer/Terrier for almost 10 years who has passed on December of 2021. He was my life. Now I vicariously live through the fur babies I get to spend time with and spoil my favourite little frenchie niece! My favourite thing to do is go out and find new and exciting spots to hike on beautiful Vancouver Island. I've pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I currently work part-time and I’m very active so I have lots of time to take out your dog to various hiking spots all over! I live in a safe neighbourhood and place right off Long Lake. I will make sure your fur baby is safe and feels loved and cared for.

About: Surrounded by dogs and cats since childhood, I've been passionate about animals my whole life. As a teenager, I started taking care of pets in their owners' homes, gaining hands-on experience with both small and large dogs, as well as cats. Whether it's a playful puppy, a calm senior pet, or an energetic dog who loves long walks, I provide attentive and loving care. Walks are one of my favorite activities, and I take pride in ensuring pets are happy, healthy, and well-loved while their owners are away. As a seasonal worker during the summer, I have complete flexibility in the winter months. This allows me to dedicate my time fully to providing attentive and reliable care for your pets, whether it's for daily visits, extended stays, or long walks. Your pet's needs will always be my top priority. Whether in my home or in the comfort of your home, I prioritize creating a safe and stress-free environment for your pets. I ensure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for by following their routine, respecting their unique needs, and providing plenty of attention. I also value cleanliness and always leave your home as tidy as I found it. With my experience and calm demeanor, I build trust not only with your pets but also with you as an owner, giving you peace of mind while you're away.

“Highly recommend Rose as a pet guardian! She is incredibly trustworthy, patient, compassionate and conscientious, and can capably take care of my 80 lb lab/pittie mix, whether for walks or longer stints of petsitting. My dog is anxious and reactive to other dogs, and Rose made me feel at ease while also following our existing training plan. Thanks Rose!!!”

“I have known Kathy as a close friend, for approximately 15 years. She is always kind, compassionate and gives from her heart. I have witnessed Kathy interact with many cats and dogs, always with love and respect, whether she knows them well or has just met them. They always seem to be attracted to her and before long they allow her to bestow them with a never ending supply of kisses! In addition, Kathy will stay true to a commitment, treat your place with care and respect and will show you consideration and communicate well. Kathy has cared for my cat, dog and home in the past and I recommend her 100%.”

“Ashley went above and beyond my expectations. Affordable, great communication, and treated my little pup like one of her own. She made sure that she understood my dog’s day-to-day schedule and ensured that there was as little disruption to his regular routine as possible. I also loved the pictures she sent me of my little guy having a great time (she asked if I would like to receive pictures during the weekend, which was a great touch). I will 100% call her again, and in fact, I have already booked her for another weekend in the future.”
