About: From caring for pets with hip dysplasia, diabetes, strict diets, or just quirky personalities! I’ve had my share of experiences, and I have learned the following: staying calm, remembering to laugh, and an extra treat can go a long way. In my care, your pet will have undivided attention and fun, get lots of love and tummy rubs, and probably listen to me vent about life (what are friends for right?) I’m currently a student at Dalhousie completing an honours in Neuroscience (another thing your pet will have to listen to). My lab work is quite flexible and can be scheduled around the care your pet requires. When I am in your home I care for your pet how you would if you were there. Tell me what do to make your pet the happiest and more comfortable they can be!

“Samantha is lovely and very responsive! My cat Bubs was well cared for over two days. Bubs seemed happy and at ease, and I appreciated all the cute update photos from snuggle/play time. Thanks so much!”

I always take the time to learn each animal’s unique needs and routines, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully to make sure they feel secure and cared for at all times. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in safe, loving hands.

About: GET TO KNOW US: Gary and I have taken care of many pets various sizes over the past 10 years from as small as Guinea pigs to Newfoundland dogs. I love taking them for walks, teaching them new tricks or giving them a luxurious spa day! I’ve trained multiple puppies and kittens over the years and have cared to senior foster dogs administering oral medicine. OUR HOME: Rover pups staying in our home are welcome to any of the common living areas. Our backyard is another area we spend lots of time in. It's entirely fenced in/secure, Our yard is well maintained for lots of safe outside playtime. SIZES & BREEDS: All breeds big and small are welcome in our home. We have a lot of experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. We can make sure all your pet's personal needs are met during their stay with us. MEDICATIONS & SPECIAL NEEDS: We are both very experienced when it comes to administering medicine to pets. It is very important to give us detailed instructions on your pet's medication dosages and times. PUPPIES & POTTY TRAINING: We are very comfortable with caring for puppies (only weeks old). We have extensive experience with potty training and basic commands. DAILY UPDATES: We make sure to send daily updates of your pet via pictures and videos on the Rover app. We send at least a couple of updates a day but you can always ask for more! HOME SECURITY: We have a home security system with cameras indoors/outdoors that help us keep an eye on your pets even while we are sleeping or running out for a quick errand. OUR GUARANTEE: Kisses, hugs, and treats are always free here! We treat every pet as if they were our fur baby. Being this is our full-time job our top priority is making sure you and your pets are comfortable, happy, well cared for, and fully satisfied with our service. All we ask for in return is a great review at the end of your stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SERVICES DOG BOARDING: In our home means you will drop your dog(s) off at a previously discussed time at our home address. It is important to be punctual for your drop-off and pick-up times, as we are accommodating others. This helps everyone stay on schedule. If for some reason you cannot be on time let us know as early as possible to reschedule your time slot. They will stay with us the duration you are gone in our home until you come to pick them up at a time convenient for you. Again, punctuality is important! We are flexible on the pick-up and drop-off times but ask that they be at a reasonable hour. (anytime between 6 AM and 9 PM). DOGGY DAYCARE: Service where you drop your dog(s) off for the day in our home anytime between 6 am-7 pm. DROP-IN VISITS: When we stop by your home address to feed your pets food/water, go outside to potty & play, administer medications, etc. These visits are usually about 30-60 minutes long. We can stop in up to four times per day at any time needed between 8 am-9 pm. HOUSE SITTING: Would entail us staying in your home overnight for 10 hours (example: 10 pm-8 am) with your pet(s). This service includes TWO 30-40 minute daytime Stop-In Visits per booked overnight (usually around 12 pm and 5 pm). These stop-in visits would include feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and walks. We will also take care of watering your plants, bringing in your mail, and putting out your trash cans for pickup if you’d like. MEET & GREETS: When we meet with you and your pets, either in our home (boarding & daycare) or in your home (stop-ins, walks, house sitting) for about 15-20 minutes. During meetups, in our home, you can see where your pup(s) will be staying and let them explore a bit so they are familiar with our home before their stay. This is a great time to go over their needs & any questions you may have. We typically have other Rover guests staying in our home during meetup times. We have our current guests play outside during our meet and greet time inside the home. We will trade places with them during our house tour so you and your dog(s) will be able to check out our backyard space as well (pending weather). We do not allow our current Rover stays/pets to meet with new clients during the meet and greets for safety reasons. You may book a daycare day on our upcoming calendar to see how our process works before your longer booking takes place if you'd like. After dropping your pet off for their stay with us, we will introduce them to our other Rover stays as well as our pets one at a time. This keeps the environment calm and controlled so everyone has the best experience meeting one another for the first time. Dogs must be at ease when meeting off-leash. We will get videos & photos to you shortly after you leave to share how much fun they are having with their new fur friends! DROP-OFFS/PICK-UPS: Our drop-off and pick-up times are anytime between 8 am-9 pm. For drop-offs/pick-ups, we ask that you park in our driveway and send a message upon arrival. We will come out and help unload their belongings (food bins, bags, blankets, etc). Once you leave we bring your dog(s) to the backyard area first to sniff and use the potty. Then we bring them inside to meet the other fur friends one at a time. Gary and I have a lot of experience introducing dogs to the 'pack' to make sure it goes smoothly and they can get to know each other right away. BATH ADD-ON: If you would like your pup to come home squeaky clean after their fun doggie vacay at our house, you can add on a bath for them before pickup! Bath time would include an all-over warm water rinse in our stand-up shower followed by a scrub. Then we'll towel/blow dry them off as well as a good brush and get them ready to head home. **Please note, we do not offer full grooming - haircuts, clippings, styling.** we can offer nail clippings as well. Im currently working part time from home so I’ll have lots of time to take care of your companion. My partner gary is at home full time with the pets as well. We try to keep most pets schedules the same as they have at home. I have a fenced in back yard that is huge, great to get all the zoomies out! I also own a 4lbs Maltese who is 2 years old, she is super friendly. Dogs can go on couches or sleep on the bed. If they have special requirements or need to be crated that can be accommodated. I have multiple rooms in the house as well to ensure a comfortable stay.

About: I grew up always having cats and dogs. Since I work from home, and love pets, Rover has been a good way to care for pets and give them companion when their humans are away. I have experience with senior dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens. I am comfortable providing oral medication. Since I work from home, my schedule is flexible. I may have a few meetings throughout the day that will make me unavailable for 15 min - 1 hour at a time. Otherwise, I am generally available to tend to needs at any time. I am open and flexible to keeping a similar routine the pet is used to. Ie. Meal times, crate time, on or off furniture, etc. In my home, I have 1 cat. I would prefer a dog that is already good with cats, however, if you're not sure, I have a gate set up to allow separation (she usually stays up on a cat tree and just watches the dogs anyways)

About: I have always had animals at home and treat them as my babies. I used to foster with the SPCA in Edmonton and Dartmouth and starting house/pet sitting at the age of 12. I am currently working full time, but have flexibility to check on pets throughout the day. My husband comes home at lunch to let the dog out and play with her. We are able to have pets for any length of time. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog to keep your pets company. Also able to provide a separate space for your pet if thats what they are used to( another level of our house).

Additionally, she is one of the best advocates I know for the fair treatment of animals, and she always treats her own puppy with care and respect (even when he's bad). I think she would be great for taking care of any kind of dog, big or small.”

“Brooklyn has watched our dog Theo quite a few times. Some for part days and sometimes for over a week while we went on vacation. He always seems happy, healthy and on occasion seemed like he wanted to stay when we come for pick up.. I recommend her service. Especially for a smaller dog. She has a couple of her own which is so good for socialization. She walks the dogs and has a fenced backyard for play and the like.”
