“This was my partner and I’s first time having someone look after our cats. Kim was absolutely fantastic. She reassured any concerns we had during our “meet and greet”, and together we went over what we were looking for during visits. Kim went above and beyond with caring for our cats, ensuring they were played with, had their much needed attention, and kept their water, food and litter the way they should be. During visits, Kim sent detailed updates on the cats with additional pictures, this helped us feel so confident and satisfied with Kim’s service. I would highly recommend contacting Kim for any pet sitting needs. I will absolutely reach out to her when we go on a vacation again.”

“Kelly is the best! We recently got an 8 week old puppy and were worried about leaving her alone with our older dog. Kelly met both of their needs during her drop in visits, and helped burn lots of mid day puppy energy!! We will only be working with Kelly from now on 🐾🐾”

“Jenna was our first successful foray into having someone come in house to walk, play with, and give our three dogs their mid-day break. They were so happy when we arrived home, and it was seamless and stress free working with her.”

About: I am a dog loving person who decided to offer dog boarding because when I was in need of a dog sitter, I was referred to this site. Being new to the area, I would love to help other dog parents in need. Wilbur, our fur baby, loves all dogs. I live two blocks from the water front and many parks around. I work from home so there will always be someone here to keep the fur babies company. Guaranteed 2-3 long walks per day. I have a studio apartment so only able to take small to medium size dogs at this time.

About: * I will be moving back to school August 27, so I will be no longer able to watch after then * Hi! My name is Addison! I am a university student who has always had a heart for animals! My first job at 15 was part time at a dog kennel for 1.5 years. There I would take care up to 30 dogs at a time, including puppies, seniors, disabled, blind, deaf, and dogs who have medical needs. I also worked 10 months at a retail pet store where I would use my knowledge to help pet parents find the best products for their fur babies. I also completed high school co-op at a local vet clinic where I gained a lot of knowledge about animal medical care. At school, I have volunteered in a student initiative with certified therapy dogs as a stress relief for students, as well as training and competing in College Royal dog show! In my personal life I have owned almost every type of pet under the sun, including my own high energy dog, chickens, a lizard, guineapigs, and currently three amazing cats! I see the beauty and uniqueness in every animal and I love them like they’re my own! I have a very flexible schedule so I am able to dedicate large amounts of my time to providing the best care for your pets! I have extensive experience handling dogs (including my own) who resource guard, are leash/barrier reactive, anxious, and need special medication or treatment. I am extremely attentive to behaviour and care to provide the best experience for your pet and myself!

About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

About: I can't promise that I will love your dogs as much as you do but I sure will try! I've had dogs all my life and haven't known a purer kind of love. Currently, two dachshunds form part of my family but we do not live in the same house. I visit them often and love spending time with them. However, when we are not together, I love welcoming other dogs into my life. Small, medium or large, I love them all. It brings me great joy to be around them and help them live their absolute best lives. I especially want to make them feel safe and happy in my company. So why should your bff come spend time with me ? Because when we are together, we will spend our day taking long walks and enjoying belly rubs. We may also spend some time practicing some cool tricks or taking some cute photos for you to enjoy. We will then be ready to nap and snuggle for the rest of the day. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved! PS: I am the main caregiver, but my sister, Jean, who is also a dog lover, is around to provide quality care to all four-legged companions. It's a two for one deal in this household, which means double the pampering. PS - PS: I've gone back to school full time, so I've had to cut down my availability significantly. I am still available for my regulars and happy to take on more paw friends if my schedule allows me. With summer here my schedule is very open and I can schedule just about anything. My schedule will change starting in September. I will update my schedule then. When your pets are under my care when outside they will always have their leash/harness on then just to assure the safety of your pet. I live on the river and have a small unfenced yard. I also live near an Algonquin trail and love taking the pets on walks.

“Jacqueline was absolutely amazing! She took care of my dog and cat for a week while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From the start, she was friendly, professional, and very clearly loves animals. While I was away she sent me regular updates and photos which really put my mind at ease. My dog can take time to warm up to new people but she gravitated right to Jacqueline the moment they met. I came home to two happy, relaxed pets and everything in perfect order. I honestly felt like they were in the best hands the whole time. I’d definitely use Jacqueline again next time I go away!”

Serena K.
“Serena was sweet and did a great job pet sitting for our short trip. When we left, our large senior dog was getting along great with her, and when we returned the house was clean and tidy, pets were fed, and waters were filled. I would have liked more updates/photos while we were gone, but I did not talk about it with Serena before our trip, and was busy during the trip. I now know to set that expectation before.”

Deb O.
“Deb's love and caring way of being helped create the wonderfully sweet dog that we are now blessed with. Phoebe has always been a high energy dog who tended to be a little more aloof. After being in Deb's care with her dog walking and in-home boarding services, Phoebe is not only calmer, she's become a really affectionate little dog. I'm so grateful to be able to cuddle Phoebe now! Many thanks to Deb for giving Phoebe what she needs to truly blossom in her life.”

Katherine C.
“Katherine has been a dog sitter for me for about a year and a half. I have a 2 year old Yorkie name Théa. Katherine has looked after Théa multiple times. She takes her for walks, looks after her for a couple hours during the day while I am at work. Katherine has also dog sat Théa for a weekend and a full week. She is very gentle with Théa and loves to play with her. She also knows how to interact with Théa when she is misbehaving or too excited. I think Katherine is a very good dog sitter.”
