About: I’ve had pets of all kinds including dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, birds, and invertebrates. I’ve also worked at a pet store for the last year and a half so I have some knowledge on freshwater fish as well as experience administering medications to animals. I’m currently only working part time, about 12-18 hours a week, so I have more than enough time to check on and play with your pets! I’m super flexible and want to do anything I can to make sure your pets are as comfortable and happy as they possibly can be while their humans aren’t home!

As a dog mom of two, I know the level of trust required to hand your furry ones off to a new person. Caity is absolutely phenomenal! She came over to give our 19+ year old kitty her daily medication while we were out of town for the weekend. Our grandma girl is, understandably, not fond of having a pill popped down her throat. Caity was so gentle, kind, compassionate and really worked to make sure Nectarine wasn't stressed with the experience. You definitely can't go wrong trusting her with your furry family member's care!
Sydney was such a godsend! She sent a bunch of photos and left a detailed note with every check in, which is great for someone like myself with a bunch of anxiety. When we got home I could tell the pets missed us but had not been lacking care and attention. She went the extra mile and was easy to communicate and work with. It was such a relief. Will definitely book with her again.
We did a meet and greet with Francisca. It was nice to get to know her and our two dogs enjoyed meeting her as well. Francisca seems to have a calming demeanor as our shy Cavalier asked for belly rubs. Looking forward to working with Francisca in the future.
This was our first booking with Sophia, even during the introduction visit we just got a really good feeling about her, she was super friendly and asked a lot of questions about out kitties. She was super communicative and took lots of photos during her visits. The cats were in very good spirits when we returned which tells me they had great care while we were away. Kristen was an amazing sitter. I've used Rover in the past and have had great sitters who took care of my two cats. My cats tend to be skittish when I'm away and don't always eat all of the food put out for them. This time, Roo and Pachanga were immediately comfortable with her, and the pictures she sent every day showed Roo eating, which was unusual. I found out in a chat with Kristen, that she was distracting Pachanga while Roo ate, so she would be able to eat in peace. Which went above and beyond. I came home to happy and relaxed cats, who showed zero signs of stress or distress. She played with them and I could see in the pictures she sent after every visit, they were being their usual silly selves. I will absolutely use Kristen in the future, knowing they will be in good hands and well taken care of.
Avery was AMAZING with our animals. One of our dogs hates meeting new people but ended up being very comfortable with her and got some kissing in. We loved the photos that were taken for the report card and hope to be able to book with Avery again in the future!
Brittany took such good care our cats of Ethel and Max while we were away that we really couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Our cats need medication, and Brittany made sure they were comfortable and cared for and kept us at ease while we were away. I would highly recommend her :)

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
