Perfect match for my furbabies! Kiera came prior to the actual sitter services to get to know our animals and their routine. She was comfortable and natural act connecting with them. I provided her with details of their care to which she easily followed. She came twice a day and spent time with our dog and cats ensuring their needs were met and even gave them extra love. I received photos and videos of them from each visit. I will definitely reuse her services in the future.

Christy was amazing while she visited my cats. She took excellent care of them every time she came by and they absolutely loved her. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond when I thought my door was unlocked while I was away, coming back to make sure my pets and my home were secure. Would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for your pets like they would.

About: I have years of experience taking care of our own cats and dogs (we only have one dog now), as well our friend's animals when needed. I have just returned to working from home so I will be home a lot throughout the day to take care of your animals! I will be available all days of the week as well. I have a medium sized dog that would love to play with yours and he is also good with cats. I also have a large fenced in yard so there is plenty of room to play outside.

About: Ever since i was a little kid i’ve been around all sorts of animals. Growing up i had multiple cats, dogs, reptiles, and other animals. i have always had a passion for caring for animals, and i have 4 years of experience working at a doggy daycare/boarding facility and dog sitting! i am very well versed in animal behavior and body language, and i am also very experienced in medication administration, including shots, as i have a three year old diabetic kitty who receives shots twice a day! i can guarantee your fur baby will be treated just like family with me :) I am a part time college student currently, so I can be super flexible with scheduling! During the summer I am generally completely open, and during the school year I am still totally open besides some morning classes! About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals of all sizes and species — from playful puppies and senior pets to cats, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and livestock. I’m Fear Free certified and trained in preventative care, nutrition, feline urinary health, and exotic & small mammal care. I also hold a Wildlife Rehabilitation Apprentice License (any wildlife I care for with never be in the house and your fur babies will never be exposed to them) I’m confident in safe handling, administering medications (oral, topical, and insulin), and caring for pets with medical needs, anxiety, or special requirements. I offer grooming services (no cuts) and like to send pets home with clean food and water bowls and fresh bedding. Whether your pet is shy, energetic, or needs extra cuddles, my goal is always the same: to keep them safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Clear communication is a priority, and I’m always happy to answer questions and tailor care to your pet’s unique needs. Bonus: - I also have military base access! - Drop ins on week days I'm available 1700-2200 (5pm-10pm) - Drop In’s on the weekend I'm available 0800-2200 (8am-10pm) I am currently available all the time as I am a stay at home mom. I also love working with animals in or outside a clinical setting. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. I create a calm, structured environment and tailor my approach to each animal’s needs, personality, and routine. When Pets Stay in My Home: - Safe, supervised environment: I keep a clean, pet-friendly home with secure areas for play, rest, and meals. Pets are never left unsupervised with unfamiliar animals. - Separate spaces if needed: If a pet is shy, anxious, or prefers their own space, I can safely separate them from others while still giving them plenty of attention and enrichment. - Clear safety plans: If I’m hosting more than one family at a time and any pet shows signs of stress or aggression, I follow a structured safety plan and communicate everything with you. - Fosters kept separate: I occasionally foster kittens or puppies, but they are always fully vetted and housed in a completely separate, contained area away from guest pets. - Comfort & routine: Pets have access to soft bedding, fresh water at all times, and plenty of affection, enrichment, and potty breaks. When I Care for Pets in Your Home: - Respecting your home and routine: I follow your instructions exactly — feeding schedules, medication routines, walk preferences, crate habits, and household rules. - Low-stress handling: I use Fear Free techniques to help pets feel relaxed, especially those who are nervous or slow to warm up. - Consistency: I keep pets on their normal routine to reduce stress and maintain a familiar environment. Experience You Can Trust: - I’m trained in safe animal handling, medication administration (oral, topical, and insulin), recognizing signs of stress or illness, and caring for dogs, cats, small mammals, and livestock. - I ask plenty of questions up front so I can fully understand your pet’s needs and keep them safe and comfortable. - I believe communication is key — you’ll receive honest updates, photos, and messages so you always feel connected.

About: I’m a registered nurse and caring for others is my passion. I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, fish, lizards, and birds! I’m comfortable administering medications, going on walks, dog sitting, helping senior dogs mobilize, you name it! I currently have two miniature schnauzers who I’m absolutely obsessed with. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your pet’s life! I work night shift, 3 nights a week, which gives me great flexibility to assist with your fur babies. I’m happy to help in any way I can! I will travel to you! I find most animals are most comfortable in their own environment but am happy to take them out on adventures too!

About: ⸻ I have extensive experience caring for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and more. I’ve successfully managed households with multiple pets—such as four dogs and a bird at once—and specialize in providing attentive, hands-on care for senior pets and those with medical needs. I offer in-home pet sitting to ensure a smooth, low-stress experience for your pets while you’re away. I pride myself on being reliable, respectful, and fully committed to the well-being of every animal in my care. I’m currently transitioning out of my previous role, which means I’m available full-time for pet care. I’m excited to dedicate my time and energy to caring for your pets with the attention and reliability they deserve! I care for pets like they’re my own, giving them love, attention, and consistency right in the comfort of their home. I go above and beyond to make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and loved—because when I’m your sitter, your pet gets the best.

About: I can’t remember an age where I wasn’t helping birth and raise kittens and puppies, turtles, or rodents. From having blind, toothless senior chihuahuas and senile cats…to a litter of brand new pups or kittens struggling to catch their first breath I’ve been part of it. I’ve had several rodents and reptiles, and cared for my friends and family birds as well. Trained puppies and kittens to use the potty and more. Also helped with a few farm animals too. I work only 20-25hrs a week, so I’ll always be home within 6hours or less. Outside of work, I’m home hanging out with my kids and furbabies. I have two e.s.a. Certified cats who tend to hide away when someone new is here. I’ve had them both since babies (13y & 3y). Keep things clean, organized, healthy, I had a cleaning company too. I don’t have crates on hand or an outside fence but I have a huge yard, the neighbor has a spayed female American bulldog, very friendly. There are farm animals next door. However, I do appreciate being where the pet is comfortable and knows its space.

About: I have taken care of animals for the majority of my life whether that be nursing stray kittens back to health, assembling special meals for my dogs specific health requirements, or pet and house sitting for friends and family members so they could take a well needed vacation. I have always held a deep love for animals and a career where I can be around them all day sounds more like a dream than a job. While not a certified dog trainer I do have experience with training puppies for small tricks such as sit, place, stay, down, etc. and would be happy to teach your fur baby as I take care of them. As a full time student I have a very open schedule with asynchronous classes that allow me to be there when your fur baby requires. I make sure to keep my pets on a regular schedule with grooming, food, vet visits and play sessions so they may have the best experiences as they grow and develope.

About: By day, I work as a consultant, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of free time during regular hours. I’ve always loved animals, so I decided to turn that into something fun: dog walking and drop-in visits. I’d love to help keep your pup happy, active, and well cared for while you’re away! My day job gives me a lot of flexibility, so fitting in walks or drop-ins throughout the day is easy for me. It always brightens my day to spend time with animals. I love playing with them, getting outside, and just being around dogs in general. Here's a version for that: Safety is a top priority for me, whether we're out on a walk or spending time in your home. I'll always make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and is having a good time. I pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings, and if anything concerning comes up, I'll reach out to you right away so we can figure out the best next step together.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals of different species, breeds, and temperaments! I love learning the personalities and quirks from our furry, scaled, and feathered friends! I also had the privilege of attending and graduating from an accredited Veterinary Technician program and am licensed as an RVT. I work full time in a veterinary practice but I am fully available on weekends and available after 6:30pm during the week. I am available for overnight stays as well with appropriate notice. I am fully adaptable to your pets routine and needs whether that be leashed walks or supervised play in a fenced yard. I enjoy playing with cats! My experience in veterinary medicine has given me the confidence to work with more nervous pets as well.

About: I have had pets as far back as I can remember. They are family to me. I dog-sit and cat-sit for my daughter regularly. I've rescued many cats and a few dogs here and there. I'll move a turtle from the road. I let bugs out of the house. You get the idea. I work full time during the day, but I would love to help with pet care during evenings and weekends. I'm highly active, love walking dogs, and can easily build pet care into my routine outside of standard business hours. I prefer to come to your house for pet sitting and walking but am willing to pet sit at my place if necessary. Food and water of course but I will also talk, walk, and play with them as needed.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burgaw. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
