About: Hi everyone! I’m Andrea, a responsible and compassionate animal lover who truly treats every pet like family. Since a young age I have worked at local animal shelters, worked with nonprofit organizations, and pet-sitted/boarded all over the country. I have experience caring for dogs (and cats!) of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, and I’m especially attentive to their individual needs and routines. I’ve also got an extremely friendly australian shepherd myself if anyone ever needs another fur buddy to help run off some energy. I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’d love the opportunity to give your dog the same care and attention I give my own ◡̈ My schedule is wide open at the moment! I stay at home with my own pup and would love to help out with yours ◡̈ I will give your pet all the love in the world as if they were my own and create a safe and trusted space for them!
“Both during the initial visit and while she was taking care of them, Ashleigh was great with my dogs! My three husky mixes loved her! She took the time to go outside and engage with each one of them and cater to their individual personalities. She was extremely patient with their high energy needs and even took the time to send me several photos of them playing in the yard. Her exerperince of currently being in Vet school, and of previously working in a kennel and as a Vet Assistant really put me at ease in that if there were some type of an emergency, Ashleigh would be able to promptly and properly be able to handle it. I will defintely request Ashleigh's services again in the future!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals of all sizes and species — from playful puppies and senior pets to cats, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and livestock. I’m Fear Free certified and trained in preventative care, nutrition, feline urinary health, and exotic & small mammal care. I also hold a Wildlife Rehabilitation Apprentice License (any wildlife I care for with never be in the house and your fur babies will never be exposed to them) I’m confident in safe handling, administering medications (oral, topical, and insulin), and caring for pets with medical needs, anxiety, or special requirements. I offer grooming services (no cuts) and like to send pets home with clean food and water bowls and fresh bedding. Whether your pet is shy, energetic, or needs extra cuddles, my goal is always the same: to keep them safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Clear communication is a priority, and I’m always happy to answer questions and tailor care to your pet’s unique needs. Bonus: - I also have military base access! - Drop ins on week days I'm available 1700-2200 (5pm-10pm) - Drop In’s on the weekend I'm available 0800-2200 (8am-10pm) I am currently available all the time as I am a stay at home mom. I also love working with animals in or outside a clinical setting. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. I create a calm, structured environment and tailor my approach to each animal’s needs, personality, and routine. When Pets Stay in My Home: - Safe, supervised environment: I keep a clean, pet-friendly home with secure areas for play, rest, and meals. Pets are never left unsupervised with unfamiliar animals. - Separate spaces if needed: If a pet is shy, anxious, or prefers their own space, I can safely separate them from others while still giving them plenty of attention and enrichment. - Clear safety plans: If I’m hosting more than one family at a time and any pet shows signs of stress or aggression, I follow a structured safety plan and communicate everything with you. - Fosters kept separate: I occasionally foster kittens or puppies, but they are always fully vetted and housed in a completely separate, contained area away from guest pets. - Comfort & routine: Pets have access to soft bedding, fresh water at all times, and plenty of affection, enrichment, and potty breaks. When I Care for Pets in Your Home: - Respecting your home and routine: I follow your instructions exactly — feeding schedules, medication routines, walk preferences, crate habits, and household rules. - Low-stress handling: I use Fear Free techniques to help pets feel relaxed, especially those who are nervous or slow to warm up. - Consistency: I keep pets on their normal routine to reduce stress and maintain a familiar environment. Experience You Can Trust: - I’m trained in safe animal handling, medication administration (oral, topical, and insulin), recognizing signs of stress or illness, and caring for dogs, cats, small mammals, and livestock. - I ask plenty of questions up front so I can fully understand your pet’s needs and keep them safe and comfortable. - I believe communication is key — you’ll receive honest updates, photos, and messages so you always feel connected.

About: I have taken care of animals for the majority of my life whether that be nursing stray kittens back to health, assembling special meals for my dogs specific health requirements, or pet and house sitting for friends and family members so they could take a well needed vacation. I have always held a deep love for animals and a career where I can be around them all day sounds more like a dream than a job. While not a certified dog trainer I do have experience with training puppies for small tricks such as sit, place, stay, down, etc. and would be happy to teach your fur baby as I take care of them. As a full time student I have a very open schedule with asynchronous classes that allow me to be there when your fur baby requires. I make sure to keep my pets on a regular schedule with grooming, food, vet visits and play sessions so they may have the best experiences as they grow and develope.
About: My name is Drew, and I am the ultimate animal lover! I spent three years in Denver working in management at an in-home pet care company. I will take the very best care of your pets and provide a fun-loving environment! My pitsky, Quest, is friendly with other pups and loves to run and play all day. If you have an animal that does not like other dogs, I will be happy to drop by and spend time with them in their comfort zone. I have owned a husky and worked with many high-maintenance breeds, as well as having experience working with animals with disabilities and administering medications. I am open to boarding at my home, walks, day visits, and addressing other health needs your animals may have. Thank you, and I hope to pet and play with your fur friends soon! I will be working from 8am - 4pm, Mon. - Fri. During the school year. I have summers off and I am available full time and occasionally able to watch during the Holiday seasons. I have a large fenced and backyard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.
“Alissa is so adaptable with changes that might need to be made for the drop ins. I greatly appreciate it especially since this was the first time I've needed someone (not family) to take care of my doggo.”

About: Hi, I'm Cece! I have a deep love for animals and years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and sizes. My home is currently shared with a sweet, energetic Lab-Boxer mix named Felix and a wonderful senior cat named Baby, so I am incredibly comfortable navigating the distinct needs of both high-energy dogs and older, more sensitive cats. Whether your pet requires a high-intensity play session, careful routine tracking, a patient approach for senior care, or just a lot of focused attention, I treat every animal like family. I’m reliable, attentive to detail, and dedicated to making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work full-time as a pharmacy technician, but my schedule leaves me with plenty of dedicated time for pet care! I have my weekends completely off and am fully available for boarding and house sitting then. During the week, I have open availability for walks, drop-ins, and feeding routines both before I head into work and after I get off work in the evenings. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, visiting pets will be welcomed by my friendly Lab-Boxer mix, Felix, and my senior cat, Baby. I always introduce animals slowly and under direct supervision. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 16 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Saint Helena. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
