“Danika and her family were fabulous for our boys Wrigley and Jack. This was the first time we used Rover, we had always just boarded Wrigley when we went out of town but then we unexpectedly acquired Jack who isn’t neutered. And most all boarding places won’t take an unneutered make over 6/7 months and we didn’t know that. But we checked out Rover and Danika seemed perfect. We met prior to boarding. She treated them like they were at home. She sent pics of them. They made a new Great Dane friend and I’m pretty sure they soaked up her girls attention too. We go out of town quite a bit and next time we will be giving Danika a buzz. I highly recommend her.”

I was raised around animals (dogs and cats) we would take litters and rehabilitate them until they were ready to go to their forever homes and we would also rescue cats and dogs and rehabilitate them as well! When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.

For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available,they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! About: I’ve taken care of my families pets since I was 13, and I became a dog owner 4 years ago!! My baby Jack is a beagle - cavalier king charles spaniel mix and he is the sweetest. I have experience walking dogs, feeding them, bathing them, cuddling with them, and so much more. I absolutely love dogs and spending my time with them :) I work from home during the school year (Aug-May) so I’m available for drop ins, walks, and house sitting after school hours (4pm-late)! I am very flexible with hours and days. For boarding and doggy day care, I work from home 9am-4pm M-F. I see clients in person 4:30-6:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For doggy daycare my hours are 8am-4pm. if you are unable to pick your dog up before 4:00, then they can be crated during 4-6:30pm. Or, I can drop them off by 4. Weekends I do not work so drop offs at 8am and pick ups are flexible. I can provide play time with my dog inside the home and outside in my yard. They will be supervised at all times by myself or my spouse. They can be let out hourly or more. Can go to the dog park in my neighborhood right behind my house during my lunch break and when I get off at 4. must be friendly with other dogs because my dog will be present! during the summer I only work 1 day/week so very open! I will not allow dogs out without a leash if there’s no fence, and I will always listen to an owners instructions on how to best care for their fur babies. in my home, I have a fenced in backyard. I do not leave dogs home alone unless they are in a crate or kennel. There is a neighborhood dog park right behind my house ( that is typically empty ) that our dogs can play in as well.
About: There is nothing I love more than taking care or sweet fur babies. I’ve had personal experience taking care of dogs of any size for over 11 years. I have one small dog of my own that is old and very easy going. I currently work full time with kids with Autism. I usually work from 10-4. I prefer dogs that are crate trained and that can be left alone for a few hours. I am also available to dog walk before and after work! I have a large backyard area, however; it is not fully fenced. I make sure dogs are leashed when we hang out in the backyard!

About: I offer dog walking, potty breaks, and playtime as well as house sitting. I love being outside. I have had dogs and cats all of my life and I am very responsible and compassionate. I treat all pets as if they are my family. If you have a high energy dog I can definitely handle him/her and wear him out! I can also care for cats, fish, rabbits, etc. (no snakes please!) I can bring in mail, take trash cans to and from the curb on trash days, water plants, you name it! Message me for details!! I enjoy walking dogs and letting them out to use the bathroom first thing each morning. If they require constant care I can do that or if they’re fine to do their own thing I can also leave them to that. I prefer caring for pets in the pets home. This is more comfortable for them anyways. Doggy anxiety is a real thing! And when their family is out of town, it’s best to keep them in their own comfortable environment.

Also have 2 dogs that were originally from the Wake County Animal Center and fostered by me and have experience administering medication as needed for multiple species. If GPS shows YOUR HOME MORE THAN 15 MILES from mine before our meet & greet, let’s discuss fair & agreeable extra convenience fee for time & gas I’ll be commuting that day & possibly throughout the job, especially if I’m working otherwise then. Yes his spoiled butt has occasionally had tantrums that include relieving himself on the floor or carpet on occasion when mad at me (usually only for leaving him) but if not another available room like a bathroom, I’ll keep him in his carrier during the likely 2-4+ hrs housesitting p/visit or day so your pet(s) & he should be fine. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST SITTING OF ANY TYPE OF DOG OR PET WITH A HISTORY OF AGGRESSION, INDIVIDUALLY or AS A BREED: This includes pitties, rotties, Shepards, Dobermins, & cats that have shown aggression towards any person or people. I know it may be based mainly on how they were treated while growing up…but I like living & have many others depending on me to make it home. Call me chicken 🐓 all you want but: I’m unwilling to work in isolated homes (considered too far/blocked from viewpoint of neighbors/roads + too close to wooded areas). For safety & privacy, I may be willing when able, to stay for a minimum agreed upon amount of hrs. but not overnight unless the unlikely event I feel VERY safe, cozy, comfortable, & secure in doing so. I must be able to trust that I will be protected in private moments as well & don't mind spending hours daily in a decent home for house sitting under those conditions but must feel that my mom, pets, & I are fully comfortable & safe for overnight stays (which’ll likely have .1% chance of happening 😅). We can discuss this further & some things mentioned may have changed since time of posting but THERE MUST BE SECURE, WORKING LATCHES on exit doors or you agree I may bring my own + LOCKS ON ALL ENTRANCES, including window locks. PROVIDE THE # TO YOUR SECURITY, FRONT DESK, LANDLORD, &/or SUPERINTENDENT, IF APPLICABLE, in case of emergency 🆘. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE SHOULD HAVE KEYS THAT CAN ENTER WHILE YOU’RE AWAY!!! During meet & greet, please show me where applicable fire extinguishers & any other life saving devices such as escape ladders from upper floors are just to be on the safe side. Yup. This was the first time we used Rover, we had always just boarded Wrigley when we went out of town but then we unexpectedly acquired Jack who isn’t neutered. And most all boarding places won’t take an unneutered make over 6/7 months and we didn’t know that. But we checked out Rover and Danika seemed perfect. We met prior to boarding. She treated them like they were at home. She sent pics of them. They made a new Great Dane friend and I’m pretty sure they soaked up her girls attention too. We go out of town quite a bit and next time we will be giving Danika a buzz. I highly recommend her.”
