About: I was raised with dogs and have been affectionately referred to as “the dog whisperer” all my life. I have lots of experience with rescue animals because my family helps transport, foster, and support them. I have delivered newborn puppies, given flea treatments, and handled cats & dogs of all temperaments, abilities, shapes, and sizes. My calm confidence is a great comfort to the anxious hearts in my care. I look forward to meeting your family and learning all their lovable quirks! I live at home with my parents so while it is difficult for me to board animals at my house with my dogs, my parents are home and can care for our animals when I am gone. I petsit full time so most days it is just me and the animal(s) I am caring for. Depending on their regular schedule, I try to keep their daily routine intact. My house has a fenced in yard with a dog door to a screened in porch that my dogs love. If I am watching a social dog, I will check with the owners and invite them over to play. My house has seen many rescue transports and one of my dogs is a foster fail so my house is already chaos proofed. I usually prefer to keep up the owners daily routine by staying in their house and feeding their animals at the same time and in their usual spots. It is a comfort to not change everything about their environment while they are anxious. When I take them on a walks, I usually let the dog show me the way as they know the regular route by heart. If they are older and nap 10x a day or if they are energetic and play fetch 3x a day then that is what we do, it really depends on each family’s individual needs.

About: My Boxer, Bailey, loves having friends over to play. Pet owner my entire life. I try to anticipate pet's needs and keep them busy and happy. Your pet/pets will be a part of our family for a few days. My teenaged son will assist with your pet's care. I have crates in the guest area if your pet needs quiet time. Our dog will remain outside if needed for the care of your pet. I have cared for hamsters and fish as well as dogs and cats. My family is allergic to cats, but I can check in on your cat in your home. I can walk your pet individually after they play with my dog. I can administer medications and have a separate sleeping area for your pets with or without a crate. My family and I are available to be with your pet in our home setting. Your pets will have a separate room with or without a crate during any short errands that I may need to run. My teenaged son will assist with the care of your pet/pets. Your pets will have individual attention during part of the day with walks on my quiet neighborhood circle. Feeding time will be individual as well. They will enjoy play with my dog during supervised play time in my fenced back yard.

And I’d like to think animals like me as much as I like them Currently a college football who has a lot of free time in the off season and on weekends. “Samantha was a great find for our family! We have three dogs - an old lady beagle, a "covid baby" beagle mix, and an American Foxhound. All of them are incredibly needy and have measured meals (by weight), and special snacks we give them throughout the day. Because Lilly and Bella (our two youngest) have been with us nearly 24/7 for most of their lives, it is important that the person who pet sits stays the full night with them, and only leaves them for a few hours at a time during the day (they experience separation anxiety). Samantha did not disappoint! She stayed with them as much as possible, sent updates and photos to us, kept them happy, fed, and safe, and even let us know that Bella was experiencing some issues with one of her ears (gotta love beagle ears!). Samantha left the house clean, took out the trash, used the recycling container, and our babies were happy and healthy upon our return. She even asked to be kept updated on when we boarded the plane back to ensure they were taken care of in case we had last minute flight changes or delays. Thank you SO much, Samantha, for taking care of our three fur babies. We love them so much and it was such a weight off our shoulders to leave them with someone trustworthy and caring. I would not hesitate to use Samantha in the future for our pets. Her love of dogs is evident and she visited twice before our trip to ensure she understood all care instructions.
