“Brenda was amazing with our pups! She jogged with our younger one, which can be a challenge but she was clearly up to it! Our older girl, she tried to walk her but she's not usually up for leaving the driveway when her routine is disrupted ?. Brenda is a great communicator, very punctual and clearly loves her job. Will 100% use Brenda next time we need a hand.”

About: My experience comes from owning my own pets (goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters) and petsitting (yes, even even horses, pigs, snakes and bugs). In previous years, I fostered for countless animal rescue groups and shelters, whether it was just volunteering or fostering puppies or senior dogs in need. I currently own a pitbull/lab rescue, Cali, who I trust with few people. I completely understand the anxiety when it comes to trusting someone new to watch over your pup. This is why I prioritize communication, forming relationships with both pets and parents, sending frequent updates and paying close attention to details/routines provided to me. After each visit, you can always expect to find water bowls to be clean and full, leashes hung up and everything just as you left it except this time with a happy and tired pup! Please reach out with as many questions as you'd like, I look forward to hearing from you! I have a dog of my own, so pet care is already built into my routine and something I look forward to everyday. I'm also available for last minute needs and do my best to be as flexible as possible as I understand plans can change :) How I care for your pet depends entirely on the instructions you give me, I strive to follow your directions as closely as possible to ensure you, your pet and myself all have a great experience that is as similar as can be to your routine with them. With that being said, each pet I care for is treated as my own and will have my full attention when I am with them.
“Took such great care of our pup over a weekend. She was very happy and made a new friend! Great communicator, kept me updated throughout, lots of pics. Thank you Justin!”

About: I have owned/cared for cats for as long as I can remember. I am currently an owner of 3 cats and 1 dog and have tons of experience caring for cats/dogs of family and friends. I genuinely love spending time with animals and giving them the attention/affection they need. I have experience with exercising, feeding, giving medication, and administering first aid to pets. I am a stay-at-home husband (and soon to be father) so my schedule is extremely flexible and I have reliable transportation. I’m available weekends and weekdays including evenings. My own pup is high energy/high anxiety (but he absolutely loves other dogs!) so I can understand that every pet has individualized needs. I am happy to work with any owner on a case by case basis to determine what works best for their pet. I can do home visits or could potentially house pets at my residence. We have a large backyard sitting on about 8 acres of land. Dogs love it here!

They will enjoy play with my dog during supervised play time in my fenced back yard.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for multiple dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have an almost 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, a German Shepherd, and a rescue pit bull, so I’m very comfortable handling active, strong, and high-energy dogs. In addition to my own dogs, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and cats many times, including feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to keep our pets on their routine and give them attention, patience, and a safe environment. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I am available in the mornings before work, during my lunch break, and after work in the evenings, which allows me to provide consistent drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and playtime. I also have more flexibility on weekends, which gives me the ability to take on longer visits or additional care if needed. I’m able to stay organized and reliable with my schedule, making sure each pet gets dependable attention and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and any specific care preferences the owner provides. I make sure each pet gets attention, playtime, and comfort so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also keep the home clean and respected, making sure everything is left as I found it. I give regular updates so clients know how their pets are doing and can feel confident they are being well cared for.
About: Hi, Im Andrew! I’ve been taking care of pets my whole life with my family and we love them all dearly, sometimes... too much lol. We currently have two Golden doodles, a Pekingese, and 3 cats so we understand the attention and care each pet individually needs. I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, played baseball for 17 years both Varsity Highschool and Travel ball and in 2019 moved up here to North Carolina for my dads retirement and to be close to his side of the family. I recently worked at Persmart for about a year and took care of many exotic pets on the daily! Whatever your needs are, pets are a breeze for me and you are more than welcome to message me your requests and we will work something out. Thank you! I always prioritize pets necessities and desires and have a job that allows me to work remotely while I take care of your pets at the same time! I also own a cat myself who I love and adore lol. I would take your pet for a walk daily to ensure their built up energy is being used as well as give them special play time! However many times your animal takes to use the bathroom I will ensure happens and accommodate any preferences they have and are needed. I love to lay and cuddle with animals so if that’s something your pet loves I’m all for it!

I am a very outdoors type of person and will take your dog with me on long walks to get energy out or we can cuddle on the couch if they prefer that too! My home is there home and they are allowed in all furniture🐶 We live in a house with a fenced in yard and I have a pet camera so if your pet is left alone for an hour or two they will be monitored through the camera! About: I currently have 4 husky pups that are very well socialized and would love more friends to play with. I also work with rescue groups to help pups in need. I have never met a pup I didn’t love! I currently work from home. Your pet will hardly be in a create and will be treated just like one of mine. Many potty breaks throughout the day. I often get on the floor and play so they know I am part of the pack. Toys? Well let’s just say there is not a shortage of toys in the house. Every room we visit has a “toy box”. Treats? No shortage of those here either but, I like to make them earn them - like enforcing commands they already know and rewarding them for going potty. I have almost a half acre with a fully fenced in back yard. Your pet will go out multiple times a day. I also foster and rescue pups so I am very good with socializing new pups with mine. They have previously lived with smaller pups such as a Jack Russell and Yorkie and they loved them to pieces. They also attend “daycare” and “overnight camp” in order to keep them socialized. I also feel like meet and greets are important to ensure your pup(s) interact well with mine. Safety is my number one concern. As I have stated mine are well socialized and I want nothing more to help others socialize theirs as well. Safety is a top priority in my home. I do accept puppies you well you just need to message me separately is we can discuss. My yard is fully fenced in and almost a 1/2 acre. I stop my work day to play fetch it for them for about an hour.

About: I've lived with and loved all animals since I was tiny, and have a special gift for non-verbal communication with critters. My experience includes our own mini-farm, working my aunt's petting zoo, interning at a therapeutic riding program, and most recently at working at Project2Heal for the past year. In addition to traditional kennel duties of feeding, cleaning, etc, I helped whelp Lab puppies, monitored their health, provided ENS (early neurological stimulation), introduced puppies to water, bathing, basic obedience, obstacles, field trips, etc. I also worked, played with, and took mature dogs on field trips. I also still work with my aunt's mini Aussies, providing basic obedience training and play. I am very kind, relate well to dogs but stern when needed, and follow instructions well.

About: I have taken care of many different types of dogs and cats, along with many farm animals and exotic birds. I can handle playing, walking, bathing, meds and potty breaks. I currently work multiple part time jobs and can fit some animal care in my schedule. With my husband's job being from home. There is always someone here for any animals being boarded. I have a large farm property on a dead end road with lots of room for your fur babies to play. There is always someone here to play and care for your babies so they are never alone. I have large crates if needed and toys galore. I have years of references and experiences and clean background check to help you feel completely safe.
About: I’ve taken care of animals for 15+ years now, which include dogs, cats, birds, lizards etc. I thoroughly enjoy watching their personalities develop as I get to know them. My favorite thing to do is watch my own German shepherd running to catch frisbees or playing catch with our football. I have cared for puppies/kittens up until senior age. Giving medication, feeding, walking and loving on them. I’m currently working part-time to take care of your animals and will have fun playing and loving on them while being there. I work Monday- Friday. Mornings until mid afternoon preferred. I take high precautions when taking care of a dog in someone else’s home by playing with them, letting them potty or taking them for a walk when needed. As well as communicating with clients to ensure their animal is in great care.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover based on a 10-acre homestead in Pageland, SC. I specialize in structured, safe boarding with supervised outdoor time and secure indoor accommodations. We have a brand-new 6-foot wooden privacy fence enclosing our backyard, providing a secure area for dogs to exercise, stretch, and explore during supervised potty breaks and play sessions. Guests stay in our large climate-controlled sunroom outfitted with seven kennels, giving each dog their own secure space to rest comfortably between outdoor time, meals, and enrichment. Crate rotation and routine breaks are built into our daily schedule, ensuring dogs have consistency and predictability. Crate & House Access Policy • Crating is standard when we are away or sleeping, and during rest periods. • Potty breaks are offered approximately every 2 hours during waking hours. • For older, calm, fully house-trained, non-destructive, and cat-friendly dogs, free-roam house access may be considered on a case-by-case basis with owner request and compatibility assessment. • Dogs with separation anxiety, destructive tendencies, or unsafe habits (counter-surfing, door-bolting, etc.) will remain on our structured crate schedule for their safety. Experience & Approach I’ve owned and cared for everything from hedgehogs and geckos to chickens, horses, and working-breed dogs. I’m comfortable with: • Medication administration (oral or topical) • Senior dogs • Puppies & house-training stages • Reactive or shy personalities • High-energy dogs who require clear routines • Multi-dog coexistence and safe rotations My husband runs his own business and is home most of the time, ensuring someone is almost always present for supervision, potty break intervals, and routine care. I am home evenings and weekends, and we work together to provide structure, security, and consistent monitoring. What You Can Expect • Individual crate spaces (no shared kennels) • 6-ft fully fenced private yard • Consistent potty break schedule (≈ every 2 hours) • Supervised outdoor time only • Optional house freedom only if fully compatible • Daily updates, photos, and communication We focus on safe, predictable, and tailored care based on each dog’s needs and the comfort level of their owner. Whether a pup thrives with structured crate rest or enjoys calm, supervised sunroom naps, we tailor stays responsibly rather than one-size-fits-all. I work full-time as an insurance producer in Monroe, NC from 8–5, Monday through Friday. I’m home all day on weekends, and during the week, my husband is at our homestead full-time and helps provide care and supervision. Since we work as a team, your pets will never be left alone for long periods. I’m also available for morning or evening drop-ins and walks depending on location and schedule! We live on a peaceful 10-acre homestead. We do not allow free play with other pets - so you know that your furry friend is safe and sound the entire stay! They will have supervised playtime with other pups from the same household, or with just our staff! Our top priority is a safe stay.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
